Yates looks bad to me

Objectively you need to learn how to read me better. You are like the Yates Yang to Hally's Tommy Yin.

Speaking of Lenlo, I'm leaving my vote where it is, since it looks like I caught scum after all :myrddraal:

Srs do, look at his posts during the TG/AJ spat. Deflects my vote on him, then still jokey jokey even tho gameplay had started. And like AJ pointed out- where is this new and improved town game Lenlo keeps telling us he's going to whip out? Def not in this game apparently

This has some merit.

I know that strat! Ive done it alot!

Normally I would agree with you. However he just replaced out of a Town slot in Dr Who by doing the same thing. I'm tinfoiling about how he *could be* hyper meta gaming us knowing he did do this as Town in the past and that some of us would remember that. However, it is slightly more likely that he's just frustrated with mafia on this site in general and is letting stuff get to him.

My "white knighting" as Des called it [incorrectly, I might add - I don't think Des even knows what white knighting means] of Arsis was to chill the game state out and remove emotion as an excuse. I'm trying something out. We'll see how it works.

Bold: He wasnt town in that game, he was third party. Completely different.

Sorry - I meant Woodstock. Those two games blended in my head.

Self voting isn't a tantrum Lmao. You should see the nonsense I pulled on jet nation. I reported people who were suspicious of me to the cyber terrorist division of the fbi.

I don't want to argue semantics but self voting can certainly be construed as a "tantrum." At the very least, it's typically an expression of emotion - typically frustration or rage - when not done "for the lulz" during RVS.

I really don't have a problem being lynched if I feel my role isn't vital and I'm being pushed by scum for bs reasons. By default flipping town doesn't make them scum but if they latched on to nonsense and piled on all opportunistic like 1 mislynch is worth the information.

I know most people disagree with me on this. I'm still right.

On a plane about to he wheels up.

[unote] [v]Lenlo[/v]

Lenlo looks ons scum meta so far, I think Despo made some good obs there. His commentary on Yates is crap, but can't win them all.

As for AJ, looking back to the early stuff I still don't like the skimming comment but since then he looks town. His refusal to vote Arsis even with all the aggro going on makes me certain AJ is either town for focusing on the win and not throwing out and emotional vote or they are scummates, and I'm leaning AJ town now.

No. I agree with you. But I don't think you should facilitate. It makes the wagon harder to analyze. I think part of the frustration AJ was trying to impart to you is that doing something like that as Town makes it easy for people to say "well, he wanted to be lynched sooo..." and hide behind that if scum.

We're all in agreement I'm a piece of human garbage and should be lynched.

Nobody think you're a piece of human garbage. The issue is this, when you self-vote like you did it's basically a pity-play that appeals to our emotions. In mafia it is very difficult to discern real emotion from fake, but scum tend to be more sensitive to getting lynched and respond emotionally whereas town tend to want to fight it harder for the good of the team.

[v]Arsis[/v]

Before the Woodstock game, I might have agreed with you, but I was town and definitely was/became sensitive to getting lynched and responded hella emotionally. I can’t tell if that was preggo hormones, or the game. Cory and CS also do this, so I’ve started leaning back away from AtE being a scumtell. Arsis’s attitude is really weird, imo, but I’m not sure I’m ready to call him scum for it yet.

@Aj - it looks town to me because I can't see scum bringing it up out of the gate and sticking to it like a dog to a bone. I feel like Scum!TG would acquiesce instead of being so stubborn on you for it.

That being said, I know TG has been active elsewhere today after being absent from this thread for awhile and that makes me slightly suspicious. Especially since he was engaging you so hard.

I don't really agree here. For instance - look how he continued to tunnel Despot in the Woodstock game after he had more or less become a consesus clear for most of the village. This allows him to look busy (he's more than capable of appearing active as Mafia, which I think that game proves as well) and it keeps him from really having to take stances on other issues as they develop.

Bottom line is I really don't understand how he came to the conclusion he did on me after my single post where I said literally "I don't see any justification there" irt to Len's vote on Arsis to start the game. His play since was also bad imo where he wasn't really applying 'justification' in context and instead pushed the angle that since Len made any kind of commentary on the vote that it suggested something bad. It doesn't.

Normally people who push null indicators as something scummy are scum.

But in the Woodstock game, TG didn’t bring up the suspicion on des. He waited until others had already proposed and pursued the idea before he gave his two cents on it. He didn’t get the bloody water started, so to speak. I just don’t see him doing this and sticking to it so stubbornly as scum.

I play to have fun AND to win.

So can we keep this game related and stop being overly personal? No name calling and let's drop it from here on out. Cool?

Voice of reason..

Only for you AJ, will I start trying before D2.

@Len - there's a 66 2/3% chance you are scum. Prove me/Arsis wrong. Tell me your thoughts on AJ and Clov. I actually don't know Clov at all so that might help.

I think AJ and Clov are both town. AJ respond reasonably to TGs arguments, he didnt try and deflect anything, he took TGs arguments head on and addressed/countered each and every one of them. Thats a towny way to argue back if ive ever seen one.

Clov has been asking good questions and getting people to think or clear up/clarify their arguments and this also looks good to me. Scum would prefer it if peoples arguments weren't clearly defines, they would want them to be easier to abuse and they are that way when they are unclear. I also like his posts about Arsis, they ring true to me. Arsis hasnt really been doing anything... meaningful imo. Hes been stalling/distracting/not really playing. and thats scummy imo, though im also a person who doesnt care at all about meta I dont keep track of it.

So Clov & AJ = Towny

Arsis = Leaning scum/not-town.

I say not town because im not sure if this is how he is as scum but it does remind me abit of how he was as a survivor, which was third party.

I just read this and immediately started thinking Lenlo could be scum. In which case I then gathered Clov to be townish, and AJ leaning there too, Arsis not sure. Just because the post seemed to me to be keeping the Arsis name afloat without really seeming to suggest voting there.

I'm not sure how much the voting patterns help here, well have to start somewhere. Try to scrutinise them that is.

I like this effort by GF, but I’d like some more detail. What about that post made you think of Clov and AJ as being townish?

recently questioning BFG, one of my strongest town reads. Specifically the way he did so- first asking others what they thought of her (gauging the thread) then following up once someone (Arsis) bit. Looked like he was trying to look busy and possibly get someone to do his scumhunting for him (and mebbe thought BFG would be an easy target)

Could you explain why you are townreading BFG?

Interesting point on Yates & BFG.

Said he's not doing much or something like that, which was stupid considering Arsis was one of the people that WAS posting at the time but was suddenly a consensus scum read.

Des, you missed what I meant. Yes he was posting at the time but nothing he was posting had substance. He was whining about how AJ was a middle school bully who took his lunch money and how he doesnt care if hes lynched D1 blah blah blah. He was doing jack all and coasting through with it.

Then why didn’t you say this then?

Ah alright. Sorry.

Why are you apologizing?

BFG is potential scum also, clov looks town so far for observations.

Wheels up.

What about her posts makes you think scum? I went back and looked at them, but I don't see anything that moves her much from null. If anything, I have a very slight town read because of her trying to get people to comment on the TG/AJ er..discussion, which was the biggest thing going at the time.

1) Cause I figured people would understand what I meant?

2) Cause I assumed the wrong thing?

What are the point of these questions?!

Alright, if you think it's an "interesting point" I'll comment on it.

1. I haven't seen a reason for Despo to be so confident in a BFG!Town read.

2. I can use confirmation bias, too. Observe:

I think Des is scummy for soft defending BFG. If he's scum and she's Town, he's white knighting her to get her on his side. If they are scum/scum he is straight up buddying ITT. #notagoodlook

See how that works, Des?

3. Look at the game state. It was *maybe* 20% busy work but it was 80% trying to create discussion outside of the stuff that had already been rehashed. Trying to claim I wanted others to do my scum hunting for me is a cop out to make a case fit a read. Des does this a lot. I was on record as saying precisely what it was about BFG that was bothering me. And I said it to BFG starting in post 177. I made my "benefit of the doubt" post in post 195 but she wasn't around to respond to it. Seemed like a good place to a. add a discussion point and b. get my math checked.

You both know my meta. I do my own work. That is a straight up discredit. Acknowledge it and move on.

Why are you apologizing?

I was going to ask this myself. It was my mistake. lol
