@key   Sarm is short for Sarmation Knight. Im in the Band of the Red Hand here on DM and am the current leader of the bands Cavalry section. The cav have 3 orders....Templars, Arthurians and Sarmations.   Considering this is a Freemason illuminatee game i cant claim templar cause im not one but i will bring Sarm in.  Is me RPing a bit basically i guess

game

Going after Len for saying its for the lulz is reaching imo. people do it all the time as AJ just showed.

@clov  while AJs responses have been on point I am a little concerned because they feel too extensive if that makes sense.

ok so my reads suck atm.

on pure gut im thinking BFG Des and Lenlo are scum. BFG and Des i can't explain absolutely gut reaction to their posts. Len is because of that derp   or pretend derp   post.

im also wary of AJ  I WANT to say he is town but 2 things make me pause. the fact that i WANT to do it and the extensive defence.

like i said my reads suck

also i wont be around from about an hr from now til tonight as i will be watching my daughter Graduate!!  hmmm maybe im old......

It's not much, but it was these two posts basically that made me feel alright about him.

For one, I like that he was actually on topic and that his observations were congruent with mine in the first post. I also feel like the bit he adds about me is genuine.

In the second I can see where he gets his scum read on Len for the potential derp post. Not a strong reason to suspect somebody, but I get it. I also think he's picking up on something irt BFG/Des that I am beginning to potentially see as well although I feel pretty comfortable saying Despot is town here.

Not a ton of content to really analyze but I think Dice is pretty transparent when he's Town and for me this was enough to give him a soft ~lean anyway

Only for you AJ, will I start trying before D2.

@Len - there's a 66 2/3% chance you are scum. Prove me/Arsis wrong. Tell me your thoughts on AJ and Clov. I actually don't know Clov at all so that might help.

I think AJ and Clov are both town. AJ respond reasonably to TGs arguments, he didnt try and deflect anything, he took TGs arguments head on and addressed/countered each and every one of them. Thats a towny way to argue back if ive ever seen one.

Clov has been asking good questions and getting people to think or clear up/clarify their arguments and this also looks good to me. Scum would prefer it if peoples arguments weren't clearly defines, they would want them to be easier to abuse and they are that way when they are unclear. I also like his posts about Arsis, they ring true to me. Arsis hasnt really been doing anything... meaningful imo. Hes been stalling/distracting/not really playing. and thats scummy imo, though im also a person who doesnt care at all about meta I dont keep track of it.

So Clov & AJ = Towny

Arsis = Leaning scum/not-town.

I say not town because im not sure if this is how he is as scum but it does remind me abit of how he was as a survivor, which was third party.

I just read this and immediately started thinking Lenlo could be scum. In which case I then gathered Clov to be townish, and AJ leaning there too, Arsis not sure. Just because the post seemed to me to be keeping the Arsis name afloat without really seeming to suggest voting there.

I'm not sure how much the voting patterns help here, well have to start somewhere. Try to scrutinise them that is.

I like this effort by GF, but I’d like some more detail. What about that post made you think of Clov and AJ as being townish?

I thought that if one assumed lenlo to be mafia, then it wouldn't really make sense for him to say that earlier(and the play as far as I could make of it) of AJ and Clov, kind of thinking the mafia would be at least a little coordinated. I was first thinking Lenlo as mafia was bussing/distancing arsis as mafia, though then amended my thoughts on arsis needing to be mafia for that scenario (though I would be guessing he is), however I was thinking AJ and Clov were having different agendas from lenlo. So I still think AJ and clov are town.

I out of here at 4 and likely minimal posting over the weekend. Get at me now if you need anything from me.

I will try to get on before deadline but I don't really have time to do any heavy lifting.

Is GF being replaced?

Need more from Hally and BFG or they can swing, imo.

Why should I be replaced? I did not post yesterday for the reason that it might interrupt the flow of discussion. I wanted to see where that was heading, much more important than a single person voicing their views.

@key. Aj said he thought I was town but voted for me anyway. Just to get rid of me because I wasn't playing the way he wanted me to play.

I was asking if that was a town thing to do? Do town vote other town in a small game?

To me I see you and Yates and aj being puzzled and trying to figure out wtf I'm doing and that's a strong town tell. I see aj getting annoyed and aggressive and that's a scum tell.

I disagree with the bold entirely.  If you're Town and all over the place and can't be followed, that's annoying to other townies.  As others have said in this game, we're going to need players to make their alignment clear.  Flipping out and threatening to lynch yourself - or somebody else - just because they pressured you is NOT going to help town.  Period.  So if you ARE town, you need to stop it.  You don't have to play the same way somebody else does, but you do need to play to your win condition.

Every game I play where I don't play along or do something strange I always get scum attacking me for it. Len in doctor who. Tg in Woodstock.

Aj's especially mad my buffoonery caught him. It's like "I'm actually trying and I got outed by this nincompoop"

If your buffoonery legitimately caught AJ, my hat is off to you. Is this the only scum tell you have for AJ atm?

Voting for town? Getting emotional when there is no pressure on him? Tunneling on tg day 1 when town aj is more open to possibilities. Getting mad when I distracted people from his tg agenda?

You have a better case so far?

You keep saying you're town, but the town doesn't know who each other are - your actions dictate your alignment.  I know for a fact you've voted for town today (me), and I'm pretty sure some of the others you've voted for have been town.

I don't understand how you can say there is/was no pressure on him.  Are you reading the same game I am?  TG went at AJ hard within the first fifty posts.

Where did he get mad?  How did you distract people?

The ONLY argument you've made that seems valid in this to me is the way he tunneled TG early on, but look at the past day.  He's been all over the thread.  If anybody has been tunneling somebody throughout the entire day phase, I'd argue it's how you keep pushing AJ off something nobody else is seeing and you're failing to convince anybody of.  And that's still not alignment indicative for you or anybody else.

Because it appears as if you're not playing the game.

Bold could be true, but it sounds pretty bad.  You can learn a lot from observing, yeah, but you should be getting your own thoughts out there too.

Playing like Darthe on purpose is physically and mentally exhausting. How does get do it all the time? I didn't even go #FULLDARTHE

Arsis - wanna do some villager work?

Do me a favor and read over GF's last two posts and give me your impression on them.

I'll hold mine until after but I want to see if there's some potential we can mind meld here.

So what are your conclusions then?

Well, there's a lot of it as always, but I just got the feeling that aside from AJ and clov, key and yates seem townish to me (it's potentially embarrassing giving these tellings, cause one ends up being wrong sometimes, but I suppose one has to learn to ignore that.

I've been wary of des ever since a potential buddying attempt at the beginning, the discussion enforced my thoughts that he might be mafia too, aside from lenlo. I don't know about arsis, clearly he's having fun but also doing what he's doing intentionally. I remember once as mafia trying the ploy of doing so, didn't work for me but he might be better at it, and he could be town but finding the game a little overwhelming (a lot of words).

Not sure what I think aside from that.

His first post looked... Meh to me. I could see it being from either side. I've seen townie's out think themselves and get lost on their own train of thought. I've seen scum bend over backwards to fit their narrative.

I don't understand the second post. At all. It goes against the whole point of the game. I don't like it. Makes me wonder if day 1 was just town/town violence and scum was sitting back. The second post makes him look bad and lose the benefit of the doubt he might have had on the first one.

Is this Grendel' first game?

No.

He's pretty old school, I presume. We've played together in a few rounds but that was a while ago, up to as long as year maybe.

I guess so, but one must assume everyone is playing the game. If they don't pay attention to it, it's poor play rather than inactivity.  Your right, important to get thoughts out, though certainly everyone can't talk at once or it's just pandemonium. At least my reaction to hearing four people talking is not necessarily to join in.

That post makes zero sense then. The point is to participate.

What discussion was he interrupting? There was nothing pro town going on... At all. He might not have wanted to derail that.

IF YOU ARE READING THIS POST, YOU ARE OBLIGATED TO REPLY.  FAILURE TO DO SO WILL BE TAKEN AS A SCUMCLAIM.

EVERYBODY - What do you think the likeliness of lynching mafia today is?  Randomly drawing a name out of a hat gives a 33% chance (I am not advocating for this method, I'm using it as a baseline for comparison).  Given the way the day has unfolded, how likely do you all think a successful lynch is, right now?

He's kind of a notorious inactive player, fwiw.

I'm actually a little taken aback by his clarity of speech here, I think I need to do some research and look back on our past games.
