You'll see that I meant everything I said. You are getting gamed by Darthe and it's disgusting.

 

Mynd: you could go back and see I have town leans on all of those players, I'm not motivated enough to fish out the reasoning for why. Make your own conclusions, nobody has been listening to me anyway.

After playing with some of these guys dozens of times, it becomes your responsibility to adapt to their meta and styles if you want to become a more accurate player. I'm not even talking about myself. You're shaming RTE for something that isn't his fault. It's YOU that can't read him.

 

You pass the buck and don't learn from your mistakes but always take time to congratulate yourself even before you get something right. It's tiresome and juvenile behavior and you'll continue being a distraction to game solving if you behave this way and don't reconsider your reads.

 

The fact that you have me as lock scum right now is one of the single worst mafia plays I've ever seen you (or anyone) make.

 

You need to be way more flexible.

I just don't even know where you guys got half of your scumtells from. My list of tells is satire because you guys literally make up scumtells or have no idea what is and is not scummy. I know this because when I'm scum here it's insanely easy for me to wreck the town because I can just lie brazenly about what is scummy and what isn't and people sponge it up.

I think that some of your scumtells are actually non-scummy things that mafia made up in the past to implicate townies and you guys just never realized it was bullshit and clung to it out of laziness or ignorance.

The players that should be listened to in the future, and I'm hoping aren't scum, are:

Pral
Red
Nyn
Vos
TG
RTE

This crew isn't loud and obnoxious but has one important quality: common sense. Well, Red is a little more spray and pray, but each of them is more analytical in their approach than someone like cory who is loud first and thoughtful later or Des who just latches onto the very first thing he doesn't agree with and rides it to endgame because his ego won't allow him to reconsider his own hunches.

So my ultimate point is: as much as possible, ignore what Darthe, Des, and Wombat are telling you.

They'll scream the loudest but there's scum in there and if they're not outright manipulating you, they'll just be wrong.

 

Whomever has that silence ability should use it on one of those three every single day because they will derail the thread otherwise.

Think for yourself, look for stuff that sounds insincere or doesn't make sense in the context of the "flow of the thread," and try to salvage this game.

Sorry for what happened with Cory and myself, I didn't see that coming.

30 pages in and scumTommy, scumBat, scumTsuki, scumNyn, scumDarthe are all viable candidates.  I'm completely baffled by the cory/tommy strange AtE play that seems to mirror each other so far and is so far off anything I've seen from either of them previously.  I'm flip-flopping on Des because he's spewing as per normal and some of his thought processes are garbage, but I'll put him slightly townie.  So far this game has been so much of dealing with AtE that I have formed all of zero town reads in the first 30 pages.  Possible slight townies might be Red, Mynd, Dawn, Pral, lenlo, but nothing solid.

Honestly if you had a louder "presence" in these games it would be to the benefit of most towns since your reads tend to be good, or at least, well reasoned. There's only room for 1 or 2 tone-reading gut-spewing players per game and we have too many of them right now. But even barring that, most people just don't seem to know what is and is not scummy behavior.

So I've offered to lynch myself first because of the hole the cory situation has left me in, the fact that my hydra buddy never showed up, and because I'm a Paranoid Gun Owner, so I'll just end up getting investigative roles killed if I'm left alive. I'm also hoping that people will listen to my town and scum reads when I flip town because as of now players I've tried appealing to (you called it buddying, apparently) have called me lock scum despite me offering both my claim and my life to save someone I am dead certain is a townie (RTE).

I'm trying to get myself lynched over RTE. You looked at that situation and said "haha, you both want to die first, you're both scum!"

 

Never would a townie have that mindset, it's absolutely ridiculous to believe two scum would be competing to be the first to be lynched on D1.

 

I could just bus RTE, or he could bus me, there's no sense in ensuring both of us are on the chopping block. None. And it's not WIFOM; it's just fact.

 

So your pushing of this makes you either scum or the worst player I've ever seen (which, granted, is not out of your range. You tend to throw games by playing bad. Still love you though.)
