This interaction isn't between two townies and I feel his arguments against you are rather poor whereas you have been pretty consistent and have made very solid replies.

 

RTE, if you had to choose between Despo, Darthe, and Womby to lynch, who would you choose?

K first of all, why so obsessed with these three?  I don't think you ever explained it.  Second of all, does anyone realize that his so called mod given nightmare contains 2 of the 3 characters he was obsessed with?  Coincidence?  Is it coincidence that I drink my own urine?

Haven't seen much of him the cluster fest yesterday. However, his last minute vote stood out. Darthe called him out for it, I assumed Darthe was trying to be a bit opportunistic there. But with his flip, I can see why he thought so.

Ok, I'm pretty sure Rand is third party now, because if Mynd is telling the truth, than he's not town. He also didn't realise Despo is dead. A third party player wouldn't need to know who is dead, because they wouldn't care, so long as it wasn't them.

Unless somebody comes in with something concrete, I don't see an argument for anybody that's NOT Rand or Mynd.  There's an argument to be made against each.  You're absolutely right in that a townie wouldn't make up a fake dream, resulting in two or three mislynches, so there almost HAS to be one (and potentially two...) scum between Mynd/Rand. 

 

By all means, build a case on whoever you want, but if you're town you pretty much HAVE to vote for Rand or Mynd at this point.

 

 

just saying, I see these kinds of posts more from mafia.  Supporting obvious facts like its between me and Mynd, admonishing someone who, imo, is town for something they probably won't do.  Saying that you have to do something if you're town implying that they are town and the person they criticized is probably not.  Now of course, clov is going to say that he wasn't implying that, but the point of that sentence is to suggest it subtly to other people without implying or advocating for it yourself.

Actually, I'll gladly admit to that.  The more she pushes votes away from you and/or Mynd, the more I'm going to assume she's trying to keep heat off of whichever one of you isn't town.

Yeah I don't know what dawn is doing... I'm actually leaning towards confused town right now though, simply because mynd has started to fos him enough to get a lynch on him ready tomorrow.  Unless of course I get lynched today, in which case, you're not getting no lynches set up tomorrow my friend. (the double negative actually means a single negative, just trying to sound cool there...)

That is how Red would KNOW womby is town - Scum would not give an item to Town.

 

That actually makes a lot of sense.   Town could give to a scum, but no way an intelligent scum would risk losing an item to town just for the off chance of them being "cleared" by giving it to them. 

 

So....it's Despo.

 

It doesn't matter for Wombat now, but the concept as a whole doesn't make sense.  There are good and bad items right?  If you give it to fellow scum, then there's a partial chance something bad happens, or something good happens.  If given to town, if its bad, something good happens.  If its good, town will get it, but even then, things like an nk aren't always completely beneficial to town, if mafia plays correctly.  Also, mafia can get kind of cleared, so therefore I strongly believe that mafia may give items to town.

I am not third party.  If I was, I would have claimed survivor whether I was or not.  Hell, as mafia I would probably have done that too.   I legitimately thought in the beginning when I found out about the visions that they were directly from Blackhoof.  Why would I continuously ask how that was possible instead of going for the much easier, yeah I'm non town and survivor?

I've been reading Red as town the entire game, but I think I have to change my mind here. She did look like she was defending Lenlo. And that did look like a scumslip to me.
If she flips town, Despo is almost definitely scum. If she flips scum, Despo is definitely town because his reads on Red did NOT seem like distancing.

Nope, I am not being coached. And why does everyone read Wombat as scum right now? He's the most town player left in the game.

He hasn't said anything that seemed remotely scummy to me, I guess. I'm not quite sure why I read him as town; it's gut feeling I suppose. I really don't think we should lynch him, since we've already lost 3 townies.

 

I feel like he knew Wombat was town, stated it in the game, and is now trying to cover up for it.

Way I see it, we're in a great position regardless. Pretty sure Wombat is scum, and pretty sure there's not enough derp in the thread to let him live, so we should get another scum flip PLUS the TONS of info from the competing trains will give us

 

If town does derp and lynch me, meh no big deal, my reads are proven genuine, and town will still have the same tons of info to use regarding these competing trains, and those who came out of the woodwork in EXTREMELY unimpressive fashion to fake having a scum "read" on me to try and save Wombat (read: Hallia)

 

Only way this ends badly for us is if either Mynd is lying and doing some kind of grand scheme to lead town wherever he wants, or if Dap is scum after all. Both of those scenarios don't seem likely to me

Another thing I find interesting.  From where I'm reading, pretty much everyone was thinking that Dap was fine, town, and kind of clear.  Now that I'm here and its between me and Mynd, everyone supports Mynd.  I mean, literally no one has voted for Mynd as mafia.  I'm definitely predicting some mafia voting action already.

@ Rand - i really hate to lynch newly replaced players in games.  especially a monster to read like this and seeing you put effort into catching up makes me feel even worse.   but i can't ignore the info Mynd gave us man. 

 

I hate that Mynd has already pointed it out - which just makes it tripple-confusing-wwwwwwifom - but find it strange that so many - and perhaps you in particular - don't question the truth behind Mynds claimed dream, and his results.

another thing i want to remark on. theres been two kills each night. one was a scum the other was on a suspected cop vetted townie.

What makes you sure scum didn't shoot Des? I agree that it's more likely that they shot Pral due to him soft claiming cop. But the way you mention it like it's a given looks fishy.

Well... Mynd get over here and confirm that you got a nightmare, and that the mod directly said that either me/Dap, Despo, or Womby (? or someone else who died don't remember) is antitown.  Cuz when you do, its you v me.

 

And also, if Mynd got a positive ability when he said the name 3 times, why aren't we also doing that?  Are you guys just too scared to be silenced or get something bad?  Cuz if you are, and if you guys are set on lynching me, I could try my hand at it.  Worst that could happen is I die, and then you lynch Mynd regardless right?

It wasn't a positive per se. He had a 1/3 (I think) chance of the dream killing him right there and then.

18/4 = 4,5. So either 4 or 5 scum.

 

Could easily see that we are left with 3 scum, 1 TP and 7 town. Or 4 scum and 8 town, maybe even 3 scum and 9 town. Ain't that bad.

 

I don't think Mynd is third party. If we lynch Rand today and he flips town, Mynd is dead tomorrow and he would lose. So either he is town and telling the truth or scum sacrificing himself to take out townies. Rand COULD be third party, but if he is I don't understand why he is denying it so badly.

 

The other far out but still possible solution is that they are both scum. Mynd named three players, one team member who was probably gonna be lynched last of the three. Then he got two townies, lose a team member and enjoys being cleared. I don't believe this is the case as it stands now but it's a possibility.

 

Is it just me or are everyone just a bit too naive and guillable and not enough paranoid in here?

I love how we had to bring in someone who is one of the smartest people in the world of his age to come in and replace, because there was no hope anyone else could cope with this game.

Yea, I get your point. But I think the mafia team is hanging back and riding this one to sweet victory. If it wasn't for Mynd's dream I'd be voting Red right now. 

 

We are getting our behinds royally handed to us this game. And now it is a question of whether we trust Rand or Mynd, or whether we are both town and we are all going down the rabbit hole again.

 

I don't care how this sounds. Mynd, I want you to role claim. There's been enough BS flying around at this point about your dream and at this point I want to know whether it's worth keeping you alive or not. Because frankly right now I'm inclined to believe Rand believe it or not.

  I'm feeling very townish on Dap.  The one thing that Lenlo did of significance before getting frozen was to make a more than casual case against Dap.  I don't think he would have done that to a fellow scum, especially just before baiting the Mod with the H stuff. 

 

 

Forgot to add this.  The scenes read like Lenlo got silenced for Hastur.  However, Hoof came in with MODSPEAK to specifically point out that he didn't kill Lenlo.  It's still possible scum team has a silencer, although less likely given that Hoof never denied silencing Lenlo.  So Lenlo could have cased Dap and then silenced himself, or it could have been due to mod baiting.  Either way, we don't really know.  Hence, I'm less sold about Dap.

 

Also, H stuff....you should go to Japan and do a google search.  Or just ask people to help you find some...heh.

 

 

To clarify on both the Lenlo freezing and my Dreamer/Nightmare status:

 

I don't know if you recall, but I also invoked the same name three times to test it out.  I placed my vote on Tommy because if I got frozen too, I wanted it there on who I felt was the most scummy at the time.

 

Instead of being frozen, I was told that I would have a Nightmare during the night where I could submit three names and I would either be told if at least one is mafia, if all of them are innocent, AND I had a 33% chance of dying. It was essentially a one-shot Dreamer deal with the chance of brutal cerebral murder.  I was also told that this would not work like those wonderful toys floating around here.  It was something much different. 

 

I actually was going to select Red/RTE/Dap until the Tommy flip.  I held off for a long while before submitting the names. I chose Dap/Des/Womby.  I was told at least one of them is mafia.  By POE, I think Des/Womby would be a good lynch.

 

So since this was my result for the H business, I'm positive that Lenlo's silencing was a direct result of invoking that name.
