I just can't wrap my head around why town!Mynd would post that dancing gif.  Not that I can understand why scum!Mynd would either, but a slip seems the more likely of the two.

 

As for Tina, the VerbMynd scenario that likely included some Cheech and Chong style adventures reads as more likely town than scum.  Not sure scum!Tina would risk putting that scenario out there.

One thing I wanted to post earlier, but I was debating what to say now and what to wait until Day 3 to say.   None of us are noobs, we are all vets at mafia to some degree or another.  Being honest for a moment, we pull our cases most of the time out of our backsides to see how they react.  Much like real life politics, a lot of what people believe is really what they want to believe.  None of us make low-brow mafia moves in this game, we all are thinking at least one if not two steps ahead of each other.

 

So, it seems that I am the likely lynch target for tomorrow.  Strange since mafia rarely defend or question their mafia friend's lynch train so publicly as I did with Darthe.  I find any lynch that builds as fast as Darthe's should be questioned.  That's called being pro-town.  So, in the interest of not muddying the waters any worse than they already are, here is the info I can provide about me in this game:

 

I am town and I will flip town if lynched.  More on the details of that after the turn of the phase, but for now that is all. 

 

I questioned the lynch on Darthe because it built fast with no real solid reasons.  When he claimed Moiraine and Csarmi cc'd, it was a simple decision to lynch Darthe.  Csarmi's claim seemed more reasonable for one claiming Moiraine.  Don't get me started on character claims, but yes they are relevant in themed games.

 

I would wonder about those who jumped so blindly to believe that I am scum simply because I hammered Darthe after questioning his lynch.  Sufficient evidence came to light and I did the pro-town thing to do.  I still believe that his lynch built way too fast for weak reasoning.  Perhaps he felt the noose around his neck and wanted to out the real Moiraine before dying.  Dunno, but he was indeed scum.

 

Since anything I say will likely be taken as scum by those of you who are playing with blinders on, I leave you with this. Would I really have been that simple minded as to blatantly defend Darthe in such a way in the off chance he would actually be lynched?  This is not my first game with any of you.  I would not have essentially defended his lynch if I was scum with him, especially if I was aware that he was going to claim Moiraine.

The harsh winter had brought droves of miners down from the mountains.  All the inns in Baerlon were packed to the eaves, and the Stag and Lion was no exception.  Min was tired of the raucous noise of the common room and went out back to get a breath of fresh air.  She had just entered the stable-yard when she caught a glimpse of movement in one of the stalls.  Mutch was dozing on a barrel in the corner, so it wasn't him.  Min went to investigate.  When she looked into the stall, a pale, eyeless visage stared back at her.  She didn't even have time to scream.

I am Rand al'Thor.   I am Vanilla Town.  Before you get froggy at this, remember 2 things:

 

1) this is Eye of the World Mafia, not Wheel of Time mafia.  Rand was just a farm boy at this point as far as he knew. 

 

2) like many of us other vanilla towns, it is clear that this status could change as the wheel of times turns. 

 

Tina is scrambling, but I think she is town trying to keep up better than she has been.  I've been there myself.  If she were mafia, I doubt her teammates would let her make the posts that she has been making.

 

Dice will be hard to read since he's being replaced; however, Kaylee's posts will be very interesting to read.

The "Would I do this as scum?" defense disqualifies anything meaningful you MIGHT have said in this post before that (not that there was any meaningful defense before, but yeah).

You might have hardcore defended scumbuddy Darthe BECAUSE you hoped that no one would believe you would so openly defend a teammate.

 

So yeah, nothing about ANY of this does ANYTHING for me.

 

Darthe's train didn't build fast. No one cares that you tried to hammer Darthe (you didn't, Hallia beat you to the punch I'm pretty sure). There was nothing "weak" about the reasoning for Darthe's lynch, you just kept trying to ignore it; Darthe was super obvious. It's pretty clear he was trying to fish for Moiraine by claiming to be her like he did (and Csarmi fell for it), dunno why you're trying to act like that's a mystery. Nothing says Darthe DEFINITELY said on the QT that he would claim Moiraine, so I dunno why you're even trying to use that in your defense. Likely what happened is that he DIDN'T, and that you put that little blurb in cause you're mad at him for not communicating with you better.

I'm so, so done with you trying to make it seem like Vanilla Town can change into something else in this game, some other role. And then when Verb questioned you about this, you told him to look at the OP..... not the role pm.

 

THE SAMPLE ROLE PM DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT A VANILLA TURNING INTO SOMETHING ELSE.

 

The whole "a single word or a single vote can change the weave of the pattern was simply flavor on Wombat's part, and to help stress that a VT isn't powerless- they still have their voice, and their vote, which can have TONS of influence if they use it correctly.

 

Nothing about that indicates in any way that a VT can become something else. This is a Basic game, roles changing midgame doesn't seem likely to happen.

 

As for the Rand claim, meh. Character claims mean so, so little to me. I know Wombat is def the type of Mod who might have left Rand out to give to scum as a fake claim. It IS ironic however, how I've heard you rail so many times about a character not likely being vanilla in a themed game, yet you try and pass this off with a "well, it might change..." supposition.

 

I still think Hallia looks like scum.
