You know, if I was mafia and wanted to get a claimed cop lynched I think this is how I'd do it.  Really, it's a good effort.  I would RB them constantly (if I had the choice) and each day when they had zilch I would badger them about being a bad cop.  After a while I'd start sliding in little one liners like "if you even are the cop", "I really hope you faked it though" etc.

Day 1 ended without a lynch...still don't like how Leelou's train stalled without much discussion...you were conveniently MIA during this time...hence I'm curious where you stand.

I find Dawn can be distracting, I know she's new, and I find her, even as town, to sometimes hurt us more than help.

 

Also, looking back, I stayed with her over other, easier lynches, and so I would say no, I wasn't going for an easy lynch, I was going for who I thought was scummy.

Nah, not really. I've been skimming along earlier but I have no grasp on what's been going on. I remember the claims (I think) and that there was no lynch (not even close).

 

@Leelou - yup I know what you claimed (Gawyn, Vanilla Town, under pressure). My question to Thane was about why he's singling out you "claiming town" (which is null) instead of giving reasons or circumstances or anything I mentioned above.

 

I think Thane has a very strange way of handling claims (or at least wording it).

i know i'm one of the hardest people to read, i will try to improve the wat to express myself, if that would help. It all makes sense in my head, but i have to convince you, not me.... 

 

@Len: i tried for a read, but got no result. Which is unfortunate for town, and scum more or less has me confirmed as cop... As for my TG comments: the read i got from him was being town, and i it's a loss for town to have lost him already

There's not a huge amount of pages, D2 and we're on page23.... this game reads quite easily. I'm not buying it, nor your townclaim for the moment.

I'm sorry Mynd, but what? Dawn has this horrible habit of not doing much but being obsessed with a couple players in a game and giving little to no reasons for voting them. She also doesn't listen much to reason. Makes it awfully hard to tell if she is town or scum. I'd rather try to get some sort of feel on her early. Your round about weird defense of Dawn is noted.

Mynd - I look at all things. Right now, I'm looking at Dawn. She needs to actually play though, which is something she fails to do successfully. Even her response to me has given little to nothing to go on. 

 

Perhaps, you should look at the Twilight game I ran or a couple other games on the main board here she's been in. Since you've been away from DM for some time and all. Ya know, just being helpful. 

 

I have a watchful eye on Tina, she seems a bit off. Not sure if it is because she said she's busy or if she's trying to hide as scum.

Sorry I've been gone all.  I've not been well the past couple of days.

 

I have four main things to say now that I am back.

 

1) Leelou reeks.  She brought up my name a ton and kept trying to bounce scenarios off of it and she is flapping about tying things together as much as possible.  Her play here looks like damage control though I have no idea why she would start that this quickly and I don't know what it's for.

2) Hally's post about Dawn didn't make much sense to me.  It feels weird.

3) I actually agreed with Des...  What is going on here?

4) Mynd, TG and Des look awesomely town.  TG so much that after 212 I was almost embarrassed to post this.

I don't think she's terrible.  She shows intelligence, though she is a newer player.

 

So let me make sure I understand this.  You think Dawn, who is a "newer player" by your words, is hiding behind a meta because she is obsessed with a player who voted her first.  This is your reason for voting with Leelou on the Dawn train.  Am I correct?

No. I'm Gawyn, vanilla town. NotBob, Darthe and Thane really reek of bandwagoning. Dawn, I just think she really doesn't know how to play. Which is sad. I was trying to actually kick her into gear, but Mynd came in like a white knight to her defense. I actually don't like any of the angles Mynd is taking and could change my vote to any of them.  

 

 

 

She addresses the stalled lynch....and says it was quite unproductive.  From my angle, I found it VERY productive.....we have two claims.

 

Then, she revises her original casings.  I bolded the points of relevance, red for those I believe are scum, and pink on the whole Dawn fluff because that is exactly what it is, FLUFF!

Actually, everyone who just parked their votes stalled the lynch. Also, Thane claiming cop right at EOD with no one around didn't help matters either. This was one of the most unproductive D1s I've seen in awhile. Mynd is a one trick pony this game. 

 

 

 

A lot of the votes on me feel very bandwagon-y. 

 

1.  Thane - his posts have added nothing new and not entirely sure for his reason on voting me. Looks like a pure bandwagon vote. Scummy

2.  Lenlo - I don't agree with Des. I don't find anything that feels overly forced from Len and he's sitting at null to slight town. 

3.  Hallia - For the moment, getting a town read from her. She's actively voting and posting in the thread. Something she tends to avoid as scum

4.  Dice - 3 posts, all meh. Nothing with any real content in them. Unless he picks up activity he's going in my Dice is laying low as scum pile.

5.  Leelou - town

6.  Verbal - yes, I called Des pretty. Problem? I haven't had enough interaction with him yet to have a solid feel for him. Still null

7.  NotBob - I hate ISOing NotBob. Spammy and votes seem bandwagon-y. He's been taking the path of least resistance. Null to slight scum

8.  Dawn - Her first 3 posts had to do with Darthe, her "defense" post was an OMGUS vote. Nothing says town. She has an easy meta to hide behind. I'd like to actually see her break out of it to get a real feel from her. 

9.  Despo - I don't like peaches, so if I ever had any then yes you can have them all. Des is Des. His last game he was really off, everyone in his scum list is someone I'd pretty much expect to find there early. Null so far. 

10.  Mynd - Seems to be trying to scum hunt, feels a bit forced since he appears to be going on outdated meta. Play styles have definitely changed over the years and he should have started to realize this from the few games he's been back in. Not sure how I feel about it just yet. 

11.  Darthe - Can you give an example of what exactly I'm tying together? 

12.  TG - annoyingly distracting with the upside down text, seems to be scum hunting atm, even though I don't agree with him

13.  Tina - Asking questions, but not really questions to try to figure the game out. Tina normally asks the tougher questions, seems like she is almost trying to force her meta. She has claimed to be busy, so that could be it. Like I said she's someone I'm concerned about though 

14.  Krak - I actually like it when he's more active. He seems comfortable and nothing forced. Townie vibes

Verb is starting to feel a bit more townie. I'd still like for him to interact with me more. 

I liked NotBob and Des's posts a bit more as the day went on. 

I know Len has issues getting serious, but nothing is really sticking out from his posts. Still a solid null and I'm not liking that. 

Dawn needs to come out and play. 

I feel a big part of the reason day stalled was Mynd.

She speaks of changes, but most of those were "Still the same" hence the use of the word "still" which means NO CHANGE.  Normally, when a scum player gives us five players they think are scum, usually one of them is a mafia partner.  My gut says she is scum but I don't believe any of those are scum....i don't YET believe at least.

 

 

 

 

I'd like to hear if anyone has a different take, but I'd be fine with a Leelou lynch today, claim or no claim.  By the very definition of a "fake claim" we can't use her character claim or the VT as a basis for anything.  Some of us are vanilla town but we know that might change as the wheel weaves, so her role claim might not be current.  Either way, we can't use this as a basis for not lynching her.

I also would like to have known if TG protected someone last night.  I have an idea who that person is based on my latest read through.  That person also would have made a very likely target for the mafia based on that person's posts.  I think the mafia did not expect TG to go down instead. 

 

I'm on the road today.  One of my many cousins is getting married.  To someone with the last name Frey.  Should be a rather boring wedding.  I'll not be able to post until the late evenings for the next couple days, but I should be able to catch up by Thursday night EST or Friday morning. 

 

Here are my reads as of this latest run through:

1.  Thane - claims cop.  Not buying it 100% based on other things I have read, but he will be undone eventually if he is a LLL.  Ask him for his reads each day.

2.  Lenlo - I see what you did there.

3.  Hallia - I really don't like her swooping in to defend Leelou's weak case against Dawn.  REEKS of scum.

4.  Dice - Dice? appearing only active when everyone else is asleep?  It's as if he lives in a different hemisphere as most of us. Total SCUM!!! /sarcasm 

5.  Leelou - (see above)  Take away the Gawyn (VT) claim and she reeks of scum and onions.  At worst, her lynch would give us a lot of info.  At best? SCUM!

6.  Verbal - I saw that! Don't think I didn't! 

7.  NotBob - I think his intuition is telling him the same things that mine is telling me.  Scarlett Johannson looks awesome naked.  Oh yeah, and Hally/Leelou are scum.

8.  Dawn Csarmi - My read on Dawn was town to begin with.  Csarmi is acting like someone who took over a town role and is scumhunting.  Which he is.

9.  Despo  - I need to case this guy on my next read through.  A couple things caught my eye regarding his votes and the reasons behind them.  Watching him close now.

10.  Mynd - TOTAL SCUM!

11.  Darthe - my most neutral read.  Not null but that I could go either way with him right now.  Scumhunting and making the same points I was thinking about. Lean town.
