Question about Birgitte? [AMoL Spoilers]

I just finished AMoL and I am a bit confused. How was Birgitte able to be reborn as a Hero of the Horn when she was ripped out of TAR by Moghedian? Or are those two events not connected? I assumed that when she was ripped from the Pattern via being forcibly ejected from TAR, she would not be reborn and thus would no longer be a Hero. Was her murder a trigger that enabled her to be reborn?

Thanks for your input.

She wasnt ripped from the pattern, just forced into the real world. She was still a living woman with a soul, im thinking when she died she went back too TAR to await the horn.

Which begs the question why all the fuss about saving her anyway, if Elanyne hadnt bonded her and she died, she'd of been no worse of than she was before moggy threw her out of TAR. I dont supose Elanyne knew that though.

It's conceivable that it might have been a problem had she died then and there, but Elayne bonding her kept her alive long enough to be bound to the Wheel again, rather than slipping through the cracks.

Cracks? Im not aware of any cracks. Though i guess it is conceivable that had she died it could of caused problems. It would help knowing what moggy did. Did she break her connection to the wheel or simply eject her from TAR?

Slipping through the cracks would be a figure of speech. And we don't know if her connection to the Wheel was broken or not, all we know is that if it was broken, it was fixed by the time she died.

I know slipping though the cracks was a figure of speach, im just not sure what you mean by it.

Not to mention would it of been nice to let someone who was helping you simply die?  Elayne and Nyn had no way of knowing if Brigette died if she would be reborn again, and wasn't thinking about the horn at the time.  I couldn't see them saying "ohh yeah, let her die she will just come back when the horn is blown".  Since it was her soul bound to the horn, from the sounds of it she could of been balefired and still come back when the horn was blown.  Yes as stated she wasn't ripped from the pattern, not sure even the DO could rip someone from the pattern.  Basically she was born again before her time, so unlike her normal births were she had no memory of her past.  The way she was brought into the world she had memories and such.  When she died her soul behaved like it would normally, and it just so happened  the horn was blown so she arrived with the heroes.  But it all comes down to her soul is what's bound to the horn.

The cracks would be the theoretical gap between Moggy forcing her into the real world and the Wheel catching up with her and re-establishing the connection. Slipping through would be dying during that gap.

As far as I am aware, the only permanent death would be when the victim is physically in telaranrhiod.  At least for wolves; and probably also for Heroes in between spinnings.

Any other death I take cannot prevent rebirth.

Birgitte locating Nynaeve & Moghedien near the end of Fires of Heaven seemed to indicate that Birgitte was still a Hero; or re-became so sometime before then.
