Why do you think you would be run up so quickly as opposed to peace? The trains were close, either were likely. As a town PR with a lot of people on your train near deadline, yea I would hope for a certain level of commitment near deadline to see it through and try to survive without claiming. 

 

Honestly RTE. I claimed at 1.21AM my time. I have enough sleep problems, I am not gonna sit up until 6 in the morning just for a mafia game. If that isn't comitment enough for you, though luck.

Kaylee enjoyed herself at the beach. She stayed the night in the hotel instead of her room of the ship. She enjoyed a wonderful massage, swam in the pool and just relaxed. Kaylee planned to relax and forget about the ship and all the horrors. Her plan was successful....

 

The morning came too early for Kaylee. She opened her eyes and begrudgingly got ready. What awaits on board? She shuddered and pushed the thought to the back of her mind. She took as long as she could before heading back to see what there was to find. Kaylee looked around the ship. It seemed quiet as if most were still asleep. Could it be nothing happened? Something didn't feel right but there were no bodies...at least not dead ones....

the NK on aemon is interesting.  might have been for meta/big game hunting, but so few have played with him I can see lurking being the reason.  which puts a mega FoS on Not Bob, Pral, Ishy and BG; who are also mega lurkers as of right now and posted less than Aemon. 

 

Pral is pinging hardcore.  my gut is going crazy on him.  mainly because if the scum is NKing lurkers, he's the #1 lurker in this game.  so why not hit him if their going for no info.  Aemon atleast posted thoughts on the game, which gives us some info, Pral OTOH had like 1 post.

2. Don't think most current DM'ers think of Aemon as "big game". More importantly however, how in the world does one lurker being NK'ed make all other lurkers look worse? Explain your logic here please Red.

3. The "why didn't they go after this OTHER lurker instead?!" argument is weeeeaaaaak. They could have thought Aemon represented a slightly bigger threat than Pray because of his experience.

4. This stood out the most to me: You really think Peace is just trying to "beat the grass" right now? Not only is it pretty much PAST the grass-beating stage (something done to kickstart games at the beginning), but he also seems MORE than resolute about his vote. Hasn't waffled or quivered a bit, has even said a couple of times his stance hasn't changed on Hallia, and likely won't. That doesn't seem like "beating the grass" at ALL to me. Really weak defense of a teammate there, Red.

5. So Ishy's lurky play is starting to ping. Then you mention BG being quiet and lurky as well. Yet later you say you're not fos'ing BG after he asks you, just remarking on his quiet play. So when Ishy is lurky (he hasn't seemed that lurky to me btw), it pings, but when BG does, it's cool?

6. The train on Mish is solid, and she deserves more pressure... yet you're still undecided if she's scum. Wait, what?

7. Strange defense of RTE. So now you're sure that AJ and Ishy are both scum? Cause you're basing your read on RTE off of them being scum. Seems a little presumptuous, don't you think?

here is the classic "vote for majority, while distancing myself from the fact I know he'll flip town"  you see how he attacks the main caser on Lenlo, while doing the reluctant vote.   classic scum move; about as classic as his reaction to Hally's claim (which was to get 100% in her pocket and attack those attacking her (aka Mish))

I explained my logic, go back and read lazy pants.  and yes, iirc Aemon has been on a long haitus and most of the people on this roster hadn't played with him that i'm aware of.  unless he's come back since I took a break, which could have happened.  if you haven't played with a person, you can't consider them big game, I doubt half the roster considers me big game.

3. because if the scum killed for little info (ie: a lurker) which I agree the kill was most likely for, then going for a person with NO game related posts and info would be a better move.   hence the short list slight FoS on those people.   and that's even if I want to touch the WIFOM of the NK for a reason to case a person (which I don't)  its just a food for thought type of thing.

4. peace aint my team mate and I aint defending him.  his play reminds me of Mynd, who doesn't just beat the grass, but sets the bitch on fire and latches on like a paranah.  peaces style puts me in mind of a mynd play.  I stand by my gut read on that and am meh towards it.  (given my hind sight, I guess he wasn't playing the mynd card)

5. I've FoS'd BG over his lurkiness, pressured him by calling attention to it, and stated many times I don't like a quiet BG.  you really are a lazy bones sometimes dude.

6. the reasons for her train are solid, ie, not bullshanks.  she did legit scummy stuff and diserves the pressure she's getting.  I just don't feel the scummy crap is lynch worthy.  not with "omg a healer, your my BFFF now" AJ/GF and "nothing but fluff" Pral still alive.

7. nice twist.  I said Ishy pinged, no that the was scum.  and I said that scum wouldn't be stupid to be the only votes on a train.  which at the time was Ishy, AJ and RTE.  using Logic, if I believe all votes aren't scum, and AJ is my hardest scum read, with Ishy being the one to ping; the logically speaking RTE gets a pass for his vote until I can pressure the other two to my satisfaction.

seriously, you've been playing mafia for like a year.  just because you've never seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.  Kivs Police Academy game had nothing BUT cops in it.  some were insane, others niave, other innocent, ect.  it was a literal goat **** of a game, but fun as hell.   another game had a revolving SK role, that transferred to players upon death (kaths game).  just because YOU haven't seen it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist and doesn't make you the authority in this game for what can and cant exist.  unless your name is Kaylee and you created the set up, you need the stfu with trying to tell people what is and isnt' in a game.  because all it does it make you look like scum.

 

and FYI, I faked claimed an even night doc in an advanced game as a nilla townie, had a full healer CC me and still lived through the lynch.  so don't tell me it cant happen, because I've done it.  and I've also seen games with multiple doc roles in it.  your application for town leader has been revoked for lack of knowledge.

Amazingly I agree with all of Ishy posts.

Len and Tress look scum. Despo makes me wanna policy lynch him (the Hally push).

Players that caught my attention (in some way): Mish, Peace, BG. That and Darthe's scum reveal. Buying Hally's reveal for now.

Too much personal drama last night and this morning to focus and finish the reread I promised.  No time to say much as I have to get ready for work now.

 

Mish is coming across as a bit aggressive and emotional but I usually associate that with her as town.  Still not sold on the Peace train either.  If I had to guess, I'd say both are likely town, although I'm less confident with Peace.

 

My gut feeling is that Red is mafia.  No time to go back and pull quotes, but the fact that she misinterpreted one of Mish's statements in a highly illogical way seemingly just so she could call her out on the illogical statement is part of it.  There's more but I'm going to be late for work.

Someone's sure to accuse me of trying to start a new train to derail the lynch less than 12 hours from deadline, but if I didn't vote her, I'd get accused of being scummy for not voting my strongest mafia read.  No way to win on that one.  However, I don't want a random and am willing to move my vote as necessary. Mish already revealed so this is somewhat unnecessary, but I thought I had said that my read on her changed from scum to town. She's right, she does tend to AtE more as town. Doesn't mean that will always excuse the AtE, but her willingness to give reads on everyone unprovoked tells me she is definite town. So I believe the claim.

Right now my biggest scum reads are probably on Tress and Red. Tress is subject to why me fry me a not this game, and seems VERY self conscious about how her actions will make her look. Guilty conscience much, Tress? Red meanwhile pings for a few of her disjointed thoughts in her wot, and mostly for her defense of Peace, where she said he was beating the grass (which was obviously untrue). I think it was an example of scum trying to link themselves to a townie looking like they would get lynched.

Btw just remembered something, about that quote I said that Red posted. I was pretty sure Aemon posted it, but someone corrected me. However, I still think I'm right, because I had responded to it as part of it was directed at me (the "your reads seem very contrived" or something like that). Don't have a comp right now, on my phone so not gonna search for it. Can someone quote the original post tho, just to make me feel more comfortable about my sanity? Thanks in advance.

I've done stuff like that before. Just ask Despo about Wotopoly. Heck, 2-3 times I spent ~4+ straight hours crafting an intricate full-proof fake claim just to win. It is noteworthy that I've almost always been scum in these instances, though I did spend an unhealthy amount of time trying to win Darthe/Wombat's 3-in-1 game.

- AJ/GF is not off the hook, I dislike how GF has faded into the background and Aj's actions D1 with Hallys claim still stink to high heaven.

 

- Dice/Hally, I severely dislike how you've faded into the background Dice.

 

- BG continuing to lurk and not help scum hunt sends off major flags, he disserves to be a train today.

 

- CS has taken up where Ishy left off with the lurking; to include with the mostly fluff posts.  ping on him as well

 

- Pral, and Yates are the worst lurkers in this game; gut says atleast one of them is likely to be scum.  they need some pressure.

 

- Despo has been pinging mostly as town, but this new muck up on his part pings hard core.

 

- Mish's claim; meh no thoughts on that, I prefer to wait and see.  but it makes sense for her claiming when she did, given how close to the lynch she was and how close the deadline was.

 

- RTE is moving up on the list with his actions towards Mishs claim.  not because he's questioning it, but the types of questions he had.

 

- Tress is playing careful; makes me wonder why ....  I also dislike her attempt to use my reduced activity as a way to paint me as scummy and trying to insinuate that i'm avoiding the game.  that's underhanded nd manipulative; I've not exactly made it a secret i'm only able to play mainly during the weekands and its not like my posts are nothing but fluff.   its less about post count and more about post content if you ask me.  I know I can't post as much, so I make my few posts count.

here is the classic "vote for majority, while distancing myself from the fact I know he'll flip town"  you see how he attacks the main caser on Lenlo, while doing the reluctant vote.   classic scum move; about as classic as his reaction to Hally's claim (which was to get 100% in her pocket and attack those attacking her (aka Mish))

 

 

Notbob, key, Hally  semi-pingy vote, no insight, just a "for the majority"  but given the time stamps and closeness to the lynch, they're less pingy than BG and Ishy's votes.

It could be you forgot he was dead while catching up... but I'm thinking more along the lines of you looking for any post you could try and twist to make look bad

 

1. the read wasn't out dated.  why you defending AJ/GF so much?

2. I explained my logic, go back and read lazy pants.  and yes, iirc Aemon has been on a long haitus and most of the people on this roster hadn't played with him that i'm aware of.  unless he's come back since I took a break, which could have happened.  if you haven't played with a person, you can't consider them big game, I doubt half the roster considers me big game.

3. because if the scum killed for little info (ie: a lurker) which I agree the kill was most likely for, then going for a person with NO game related posts and info would be a better move.   hence the short list slight FoS on those people.   and that's even if I want to touch the WIFOM of the NK for a reason to case a person (which I don't)  its just a food for thought type of thing.

4. peace aint my team mate and I aint defending him.  his play reminds me of Mynd, who doesn't just beat the grass, but sets the bitch on fire and latches on like a paranah.  peaces style puts me in mind of a mynd play.  I stand by my gut read on that and am meh towards it.  (given my hind sight, I guess he wasn't playing the mynd card)

5. I've FoS'd BG over his lurkiness, pressured him by calling attention to it, and stated many times I don't like a quiet BG.  you really are a lazy bones sometimes dude.

6. the reasons for her train are solid, ie, not bullshanks.  she did legit scummy stuff and diserves the pressure she's getting.  I just don't feel the scummy crap is lynch worthy.  not with "omg a healer, your my BFFF now" AJ/GF and "nothing but fluff" Pral still alive.

7. nice twist.  I said Ishy pinged, no that the was scum.  and I said that scum wouldn't be stupid to be the only votes on a train.  which at the time was Ishy, AJ and RTE.  using Logic, if I believe all votes aren't scum, and AJ is my hardest scum read, with Ishy being the one to ping; the logically speaking RTE gets a pass for his vote until I can pressure the other two to my satisfaction.

seriously, you've been playing mafia for like a year.  just because you've never seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.  Kivs Police Academy game had nothing BUT cops in it.  some were insane, others niave, other innocent, ect.  it was a literal goat **** of a game, but fun as hell.   another game had a revolving SK role, that transferred to players upon death (kaths game).  just because YOU haven't seen it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist and doesn't make you the authority in this game for what can and cant exist.  unless your name is Kaylee and you created the set up, you need the stfu with trying to tell people what is and isnt' in a game.  because all it does it make you look like scum.

 

and FYI, I faked claimed an even night doc in an advanced game as a nilla townie, had a full healer CC me and still lived through the lynch.  so don't tell me it cant happen, because I've done it.  and I've also seen games with multiple doc roles in it.  your application for town leader has been revoked for lack of knowledge.

i'm brash, to the point and I don't sugar coat anything.  nor do I use kiddy gloves in this game.  you've played with me enough times to know this.  this is my play style, you don't like it "tough titty said the kitty when the milk ran dry".   its never personal, its mafia.  its the way I play, always have and always will and I make no excuses at all for my play style.  if my play style offends people, then they need to grow a thicker skin, point blank.  this isn't a game for coddling or holding hands, its for back stabbing, lynching scum and playing Das de Mar.  if you take that as condescending, then that's your interpretation of my words and play style, which I can't help.

Too much personal drama last night and this morning to focus and finish the reread I promised.  No time to say much as I have to get ready for work now.

 

Mish is coming across as a bit aggressive and emotional but I usually associate that with her as town.  Still not sold on the Peace train either.  If I had to guess, I'd say both are likely town, although I'm less confident with Peace.

 

My gut feeling is that Red is mafia.  No time to go back and pull quotes, but the fact that she misinterpreted one of Mish's statements in a highly illogical way seemingly just so she could call her out on the illogical statement is part of it.  There's more but I'm going to be late for work.

Someone's sure to accuse me of trying to start a new train to derail the lynch less than 12 hours from deadline, but if I didn't vote her, I'd get accused of being scummy for not voting my strongest mafia read.  No way to win on that one.  However, I don't want a random and am willing to move my vote as necessary. I feel like I've been around for more than just defending myself (although ironically I can't respond to this without it being a defense). I can pull quotes if you'd like.  Yester"day" in the game I had other things on my plate so I couldn't be around as much.

All right, so I went back and reviewed Tress and a large majority of her non spam play has been in defending herself, primarily against Key.
 
Key wonders why Tress didn't vote Darthe if she thought he might be trying some sort of gambit. Tress responds quite clearly she never thought Darthe was mafia. So looking back at Tress's original statements I can see what she is saying... gambits don't = mafia. In fact, I'd say she's actually being quite defensive of Darthe for some reason all things said and done.
 
It seems that Despo's mini-Wot casing of Tress covers some of these bases already though so I'm not going to re-state what he said since I found basically the same things in reading Tress.
 
What I did find interesting was this quote:

Ok, I believe what Tress says here is true of Tress's normal town play. So, let's analyze her play this game for a minute:

• Ignoring pre-game posts, it seems that about 1/3 of her posts have been spam/jokes/real life/etc. At least 15 of her total posts.
• About 10 of her posts have been almost entirely defensive without much scum hunting. There are what appears to be OMGUS cases at Key mixed in these as well. I call them this because her cases against Key seem to be almost entirely about Key's suspicion of Tress. I come from the mindset that a legitimate case is hard to build when its based on someone attacking you.
• There's about 7-8 what I'd consider to be directly related to seeking out scum, but even these are either quite short or also contain a large chunk that can be considered defensive as well.

In any case, my point is that I'm not getting a sense of quality over quantity from Tress's posts. In fact, it feels the opposite. Tress's posts don't feel that helpful to the game except in attempting to save her own skin.

Announcement to my mafia games: My internet has been cut off, and my phone is cut off too, so I only have acess on my husbands phone until monday. This means I'll not be able to get on as much, since he has work, and I can't occupy his phone all the time when he's home.
