As we head in to day 2 and I am somehow alive, some thoughts.

 

Desp - 60/40. Leaning scum. Others also seem to think so which is helping me feel better about it. A solid candidate after an extended back and forth yesterday. Quite vociferous in pushing my lynch, I'm not sure if he believes/d the case or can just talk/wall of text well. If I read the posts back, there is a lot of certainty in his words. Could it be the hallmark of a mafia who knows I'm town? Something I'm watching.

 

Mish - dropped to 50/50. Still very much 'woah' on the force of the attack. I can't quite reconcile her actions as town in my mind. But as I am somewhat alone on this vibe I am treading carefully. If I am the only one seeing the signs, generally that's an indication.

 

I'm being careful with the above two because I'm trying to gauge what is relic feeling and what is evidence. I wouldn't say no to lynching either though.

 

Darthe - Looking town. Looking. Quite happy to throw around the accusations. Must say he has been pretty on point so far.

 

Krak - Saw the logic in my posts. Kept quiet as to the theory (as contrasted with Mish), seems busy but was being quiet toward the start of the last game we played together, where he flipped mafia. Wait and see.

 

Tress - Eh. Thought was pinging earlier, dropped off. Wait and see.

 

Praya - Establishing. Not enough. No slips, nothing to Fos.

 

Cindy - being cindy, as far as I can tell. Trying to wait and be careful to avoid a mis-lynch perhaps. Hasn't really pinged.

 

Peace - Drops some votes off, generally agreeing with the last wall of text that is coherent. Can't say I remember much standing out. Doing the minimum.

 

Hallia - Intermittent. Off the radar a fair bit, always jovial when chiming in. Someone to watch. I could vote here.

 

And I'm forgetting someone.

 

Tiinker. Copped some flack earlier for... something. I think? Maybe someone pressed him on a vote. Either way someone took exception and I clearly wasn't paying attention. But I do know I haven't had a ping from this direction when reading through.

I realise this means I am only not suspicious of like three people :laugh: Was a hell of a day 1 that is for sure.

All I can say to this is... I'm grateful you included the word "sensory" in that. :laugh:

 

Also, I appreciate the effort you put into your reads there.  It was a hell of a D1, I'll give you that, and I'm trying to take a fresh look at things.  

 

I did see your response to the major sticking point I had against you yesterday - I personally would have thought that through if I was going to propose a theory like the trigger bit, and not posted an FOS on one of the people I'd strongly suggested was vanilla town.  Maybe the theory didn't occur to you until you were about to finish the post and hit "send" and you didn't realize that it contradicted something you'd already put in that post.  Or maybe my instincts were right on that regard.  Obviously they were wrong about Kaylee.  This may just be one of those games where my gut feelings take some time to calibrate properly. :tongue:

 

I'm not comfortable with Darthe.  I've got to spend some time scanning back through to refresh my reads on people, but that's at the top of my mind right now.  

 

I'd like to hear what Despo has to say today as well, although I suspect it'll be much the same as yesterday. 

 

Still have a gut read on Mish as town.  Like I said D1, the righteous fury she was putting out felt real to me, although I'm sure others don't agree.  Only Mish knows for sure right now.

 

It's been a long, exhausting day and I'm letting the brain turn off for now.  Hopefully I'll be up early enough tomorrow to put some time into reading back through, but I'll keep up with current developments regardless.

Rorschach, you GOTTA get out of that mentality that "Mafia would NEVER do something that obvious!" I've seen you say this many times, and its just a logical trap. Its called wifom. Some mafia like to "hide in plain sight", as in try and do something that looks so scummy they can later say "Oh I would NEVER be that obvious as scum!"

 

Sure, I understand that. But, at the same time, I would also like to look at the risk vs reward. Trying to hide in plain sight when something brings attention to you seems contradictory. Especially in this case when it is still Day 1. The converse holds true too. I believe that we cannot always use the wifom argument.

Uff, I skimmed through the whole thread. Not a lot of things happening in the first 10 pages and things escalate quickly.

 

Berf: The main thing going against him was the train bandwagon he tried to start. However, at Day 1, it does not look scummy at all and all too obvious. Wifom or not, too much of a risk to do if he was scum. Givin him a pass

WBK: Was the first to jump on Berf's case. Clearly, looks like pouncing on an opportunity when others were looking elsewhere. 

 

Des:  All over the place. It is interesting to see that when Berf posts the "Despo train", Des remains silent till someone votes on Berf and then starts jumping on it

This post looks really scummy to me - he accuses WBK first, mentions that nobody is following his lead on Tress and then proceeds to vote Berf after all that  Looks to be distancing from WBK. Still, giving the benefit of doubt due to it being just one post.

Mish and Tress: Leaning towards scummy but not getting good reads at the moment. Will be looking at them in the future.

 

Darthe looks like town. 

 

Missing some others but not getting much reads now.

Reason?  You mean you can't infer that there has been serious discussion on various topics that you choose to ignore but think the fact that I've voted 4 different players in this game is the scummiest thing you can come up with?

Sucks losing the Cop N1. I have thoughts about this, but they are prob best saved until after the game. Her NK does make me feel less suspicious of Tress at least. I partially thought Tress was scummy for potentially breadcrumbing cases on myself and Kaylee, but the NK makes that seem less likely. So being that I thought one of Darthe/Tress was scum yesterday, starting to lean more towards Darthe now.

This post makes me continue to feel I was wrong about you. Pretty town move to get your reads out on everyone. Overall I think your reads don't look that fabricated either. Think you're wrong about Mish, and I know you're wrong about me, but meh.

Why are you trying to be so ethereal/evasive this game Peace? You're waaaaaay off your meta right now. Could vote you easily.

 

For now tho, I'm going to Vote Darthe. I think his stuff with WBK yesterday was all distancing/gambit type stuff, and he is making no attempts at all to case me, and is instead just pushing everyone to lynch me over and over. Either he's trying to Big Game hunt, or he thinks I'll make an easy lynch for some reason. Regardless, he has stopped scumhunting and has tunneled me since the very start of the game. Not protown behavior there. He also seems to find nothing questionable with Cindy blatantly sheeping him while trying to act grouchy about it, which is questionable for him since he normally notices people buddying to him.

I'm not sheeping anyone. I don't trust darthe, or anyone else for that matter, but if he really thinks you're scum, I agree with him. everything you've posted is manipulation and spin. I gave my reasoning as well as I could yesterday. nothing you've said since then has changed my mind. the more WoTs you post, the more quotes you pile on, the more you try to baffle with BS, the less I trust you.

Anyone who whines about big game hunting is scummy.  There is no such thing as big game.  There are active players and inactive players.  Plus, self-gloss is a bit ridiculous.
