DM mafia has become notorious for leaving lynches right up to the minute and often misses deadlines.

I don't think this is a game where the town can afford to let that happen as often as most people are used to.

I already responded to the grammar one, which I haven't seen a response to yet.  And why would I defend EP, then Nolder from EP?  I'm just putting out my thoughts right now.  And both of the people I defended turned out to be town.  So I'm either mafia that is trying really really hard to get some credit, and even after I caught heat for defending EP, went onto defend Nolder, or I'm town thats just putting my opinions in this game.

Can someone sum up the case on Rand, I was on him on D1, but it seems the reason he's being run up today is different? I don't really trust any reads I have from D1, because I can't remember if I formed those thoughts before or after the mod scenes. Too lazy, and not enough of a sure-thing, to waste time going back and trying to retrace my thinking.

 

Bottom line on Rand is that he indirectly defended Nol when pointing out the "grammar case" EP had on Nol was wrong.  But Wombat responded that EP's case wasn't as much based on technical grammar as it was based on context.  At that point, a train formed.

 

And then Rand proceeded to put his foot in his mouth

I see nowhere where you explained how you defended a confirmed townie after they were confirmed, what you did do is defend 2 people who were recieving heavy amounts of heat who just so happen to later be confirmed town

 

So firstly I happened to be right, and secondly by that logic you can suspect anyone who defends anyone else on a lynch.

There is the exact same probability that I was defending Nol because I thought he was town than I defended him because I knew he was town and wanted town credit.

Unlike almost everyone else in this game, I don't have the ability to post here on Dragonmount from either a smartphone when I am not at home, or even from another 

computer when I ain't home. Clearly, I am home now, and it has taken me an hour to read through the 13 pages of this thread which were posted after I went to 

sleep. Obviously, I cannot be nearly as active poster as the rest of y'all who appear to have more than one consistent option of being here online on Dragonmount.

Last night, I read through the game thread and admitted that although I saw a group of people who were active that I thought were scummy, none of them stood out to me as 

being more scummy than the other. After that post, its true that a few thought I was fence sitting and that I should have made up my mind as to whom to vote on the lynch. 

Then, I read Wombat's case on Rand for a Day 2 lynch. Wombat normally does not say a lot in DM mafia games. Therefore, when he did make a long and solid post 

casing Rand, I decided to check it out carefully. When I found that I agreed with Wombat's case against Rand, I decided vote for Rand.

For various and sundry reasons, people starting voting for me. 

*shrugs* There ain't nothing that I can really do about that if the reasons for voting against me are because I cannot post a lot, or that I am a little cautious before pointing FOS' or casting a lynch vote. I do not like to make random votes just to get a reaction from someone. That ain't my meta.

 

At this time, I see no reason to change my vote against Rand. I was going to change my vote to Nolder because I thought he was acting the most scummy during my re-read of the previous 13 pages of this game thread. However, then DPR posted a scene showing that Nolder isn't possessed and that he is human, thus confirming that Nolder is still Town. Therefore, my vote for this Day 2 (our Hour 2, whichever way a person prefers to see it) remains on Rand. To me, it appears that Rand's behavior in this game is the most scummy.

@ Ape: I mentioned the No Lynch D1 in a drunken post. likely to try and get reactions, because that's just how I roll. no one even commented on it. Wombat OTOH mentioned it for real and got traction with it, so if you want to bark up the no lynch tree go bark at the one that got people to vote with him on it.

Nothing really changed between day one and day two. On day 1, I joined in on the lynch train on Rand because I thought the case made against him was a good one. Also, I believe that a voted lynch is better than a random lynch or a No lynch. On Day 2, Rand was one of the ones who I believe is scummy. Nolder was the other one. When Wombat made a good solid case against Rand in Day 2, then I decided to go with that case along with my policy that a voted lynch is better than a No Lynch or a Random Lynch. 

 

Perhaps (and I know this is from my POV alone) he turned scum, realized that I was town, tried to get some town credit by avoiding my lynch, but now when pushed went back on it anyways.  

 

I have not turned scum. I believe that you, Rand, are scummy and I ain't the only one who is voting against you. I am not scum and I was not trying to get some town credit by avoiding your lynch. Remember, I said previously that I thought that Nolder was being scummy. He would have been a good vote for the Day 2 lynch. before I get back to my catch up, I wanted to examine Wes's intro post.

 

 

As dusk fades, the last touches are put on what has to be one of the most elaborate ghost-catching setups ever imagined.

 

“I can’t believe there’s this much stuff! It’s like every hunter within 500 miles showed up…”

 

“Dude, this is awesome. I can’t wait to see what we get…”

 

With that, a screen lights up and eight FLIR cameras are brought into play.

 

“There you are my lovelies… nothing gets past you without us knowing about it!”

 

Other investigators check thermal detection devices and EVP recorders. Then, a call is echoed to join everyone downstairs.

 

You find the entire group gathered in the driveway.

 

“Welcome to The Tencer House!”

 

A cheer goes up form the crowd, enthusiastic, though a few snarky mumbles worm their way through the crowd.

 

“First of all, a big thank-you goes out to all of you for coming…this is awesome! Because of you, we have more equipment than any ghost investigation I think any of us has ever been on! Believe me, If the ghosts are here, we’re gonna find them!”

 

There’s a jovial mood among you, but an undercurrent is still there…

 

“And listen, whatever we find gets credited to everyone here, so please don’t carry old grudges and competitions. We’re all just here for the ghosts!”

 

A cheer goes up, and the positive mood is sweeping.

 

“Okay, we’ve divided up the house into zones and everyone knows where they’re supposed to be. It’s almost dark now, and we’ll split into groups in just a minute, but first, I really think want to mark this historic moment with a group picture!”

 

Everyone nods in approval. The crowd jostles together to fit in all 33 investigators and everyone is just set when the flash goes off.

 

“Excellent! Let’s see what we’ve got!”

 

A laptop is produced and an image of the 33 of you appears, everyone smiling. It looks great…

 

A second laptop is produced.

 

“Let’s see if anyone is possessed by an evil spirit!”

 

Laughter ripples through the crowd just as the FLIR image winks onto the screen.

 

“There we are! How fitting!”

 

And there you are, 33 of you outlined in the subdued reds, yellows and whites of a normal human being’s signature.

 

“Believe me, if anyone was possessed by a spirit, it would show. I’ll make sure everyone gets a copy!”

 

Everybody seems happy as they split up and head into the house to begin the investigation.

 

But a slight sense of warning tingles through your fingers and toes. You voice your concern.

 

“Dude, I don’t mind investigating, but they ought to have a little more respect for what happened here, and for possession in general. It’s not a joke…”

 

Your friend smirks.

 

“Relax. There are so many people here I doubt any spirit activity will even be captured. Let’s just hope we even get a little something…

 

You nod and go along. But it still doesn’t feel right.

 

okay, note the underlined parts. we were in the Driveway when the picture was taken, then we headed into the house. meaning when we were all human we were not inside the house.

 

@ Ithi - can you check the time stamp on your item PM and see if it is around the time stamp on the linked post from Wes. my guess is that this is whent he items/roles went out, to include when the first possessed appeared.

1st 2 bolds = likely investigation items. note that there are specifically 8 FLIR cameras mentioned. so either only 8 of these one use items or only 8 people with this role/item. I wonder if each camera has a limited # of exposures/pictures it can take.
