Being the cop doesn't make you the boss is right

That depends on what we mean by "boss".

When I'm a cop with unrevealed information, it does exactly that. Certainly, it makes me the right to call for a lynch to halt, or for lynches not going past L-2.

Sure, someone who knows better is entitled for making his own play. For example, a Vig may decide to make a shot.

I'm not even sure what there is to argue about.

Was Nolder's L-1 vote within the rules of the game?

Sure it was, during days, everyone can vote whoever he wants to and whenever he wants to, unless his vote is being controlled.

Was it an anti-town action?

Without doubt. When the cop tells you to stop at L-2, you stop at L-2. Period. I'm sure I don't have to spell it out for you even more than I did. This game seems to have active, observant and intelligent players. When I'm dead in the morning, I expect that someone will be able to do so.

That last sentence was meant as a compliment. I really enjoy this game, finaly one with people participating properly. It's fun and interesting.

Also, to clarify the "boss" thing: as soon as I no longer have any extra information (due to no more views or already shared results), I'm just a simple pawn. As I like to be.

It really is. And the town's relative success thus far is a testament to the type of game that is possible with enough people active.

I'm not sure if it's okay to edit.

Being the cop doesn't make you the boss is right so I'll just quote myself and correct.

edit: clarification, wording

If the cop tells you to stop at L-2 you take it into consideration

Your word is not law

Of course not. But you better have some very good reason to ignore it.

I can't imagine what reason could Nolder possibly have to risk lynching a confirmed townie, for instance.

I'm just dying to hear Nolder's very good reason to risk losing the information on Darthe. What could he possibly have that maks up for it?

Posted

Honestly, even being L-2 makes no difference. Assuming a minimum of two scum left, that is still Hammer range.

Of course, then they have outed themselves :). I think that's what happened. Nolder is scum with Darthe, and

somehow they dropped the ball. I think they were trying to, as CS implied, waste his view with a lynch before

he could reveal.

Also, I'm from Hungary and Nolder did his vote at 1am my time. Guess why.

For some reason I woke up at 5am and started with posting my views asap.

In Han's mind, the tournament was never meant to be fair.  No, not at all, for Bolo and O'hara were not meant to be defeated.  And yet, when he looked to the ground their dead bodies were there.  O'hara had been a faithful servant, and though his death was that of a fighter's, retribution demanded a blood payment.

Cautiously Han stalked, now affixing the claw to his severed hand.  It was not difficult to find the one that had spoken, for his voice had given him away.  Coming up behind him, he delivered a vicious kick to the back of the man's knee.  Even as the man he sought went to the ground, Han slashed out with his claw, ripping the man's throat out and ensuring there would be no more talking from this one.

As Han slunk back into the reflections of mirrors, he considered the death around him, the claws, swords, pikes, and other instruments of death man had made throughout the years.  For some it might be difficult to associate these horrors with the proud civilizations that created them: Sparta, Rome, The Knights of Europe, the Samurai...They worshiped strength, and Han knew the same thing they knew.  Strength is what makes all other values possible.  Nothing survives without it.  Who knows what delicate wonders have died out of the world, for want of the strength to survive.

Confession - I read the thread and then left to go play ball and eat. Also watched Gatsby and loved it, really recommend everyone to go see it. I'll post in the morning.

Great Gatsby? It's amazing, watch it when you can. I'm need to sleep but I've been up listening to the soundtrack over and over. I'd watch it again right now if I could.
