Hey all, sorry I was away for the weekend. Just checking in now and tomorrow is going to be very busy for me but I will do my best to catch up.

Thank you. And no I can't fix it. Posting is all screwed up for me on DM right now and I don't understand why I'm the only one having this problem. Quote buttons don't work. The post button for the quick reply box doesn't work. In order to post I have to type in the quick reply box (which doesn't have any of the fancy buttons and doodads loading, it's just a text box) and then hit more reply options. If that screen will even load (maybe 10% of the time?) I can post from that screen. Or if it's not loading that screen I can try my luck with switching the layout to mobile and for some reason that works a little bit better but it's hard to navigate so after making a post I have to switch it back if I wanna keep reading. If this problem doesn't clear up after easter I'm going to figure out who manages tech around here and bug them about it.

Players continuing to push on Charmei when he himself has stated he thinks Charmie is town is scumtastic.  Once you have someone cleared in your mind your should be moving on.  To me it looks like a distraction technique to make sure someone else isn't profiled.

Also feeds into automatic support from Ape (if he is town.) 

 

Highly suspicious in my mind.

^Good point. I think it's time we either got a reveal and/or lynch Csarmi or move on and start casing other people. I still like Ishy for a lynch at this time but I'm willing to go on Csarmi depending on his reveal.

I think I've pretty clearly stated I have a list of things I feel make cspaghetti look scummy, and it's at teh point now where I'm wifom'ing whether he would actually play that scummy if he is scum. Not hedging, just sincerely going back and forth on it. 

 

The assertion that "once you have someone cleared in your mind you should move on" is legitimately stupid. I haven't "moved on", I unvoted him to see what he'd do, and he predictably contradicted himself by unvoting me. Makes me feel worse about his reasons for voting me in the first place. Like I said, it comes across as though he realizes he dodged a bullet.

 

My thoughts on other people are in the thread. I'm not moving on until we get a reveal, far too many times I've seen scum get brought to the brink on D1 and then let off the hook without a reveal, for it only to bite town in the ass later.

Depends on who is on the team with him. If there are JN players on the team with him, they might have advised him to keep at it with me until I make so much of a commotion I end up drowning out my own case, and the town moves on because it becomes exhausted with the situation.

 

This is scum's go-to method of dealing with me when I latch on with a solid case. I've seen Booboo do it, Verbal do it, and just about everyone tries. Sometimes I outlast it, usually I find a shiny object or drown myself out.

 

So, while I value your point of view, there's some major meta that makes me doubt your reasoning, at no fault of your own. You could not have know this, but it is very much a reality on JN. I'm reading Leelou as town, she can probably vouch for what I'm saying. Booboo's favorite way of dodging me when he's scum is to arguing peripheral crap with me, and complete avoid addressing the case, which is almost exactly what csack was doing.

The "drowning" thing basically happens when I sell my case too hard. I tend to do it when I feel my target, or others, are trolling me away from my goal which is to elicit the responses I need to determine how confident I am in my case. Trolling me away from my focus, on this like getting the name wrong, and debating insults, or rules, is one way to prevent me from staying on-task with the actual case logic.

 

I'd say that cspatula has done that, and I don't know if it was intentional, his own strategy or something he was coached to do.

Hope everyone had a nice Easter and enjoyed watching the Gators get their asses handed to them. I know I did. Will be posting some thoughts straight away, but before I do, I just wanted to make a comment.

 

Ape makes a great point, and him making it is one of the reasons I was so psyched to see the JN players involved this time. Many of us here on DM are much too interested in surviving till the end instead of winning. I never noticed the distinction until I played there. As Town, our job is to find scum. not to keep living. If our deaths smoke out scum, then we've succeeded. When Csarmi says that his coroner report won't be useful, that's a load of crap. The intel that can be gathered from ANY coroner report is useful. With what we've seen so far, there is a lot that can be deduced, and Csarmi's desire to survive as opposed to actually helping is noteworthy, as are those those that have been quick to leap onto an, as of yet, easy case. Putting it all together is the endgame we should be striving for.

 

Reading up on particulars now.

 

Lastly, great finale to WD and great premiere to GoT. Pumped for the new season.

Why not? If you are a vanilla townie, you should understand the value in dying now. Knowing your alignment gives us great context for all the reactions we've gotten.

Crusher is the most stand-up guy I've ever encountered in a forum, and lives his life for his family. When he gets online after drinking a little Maker's it's usually gold, comedy gold. Him voting in the wrong thread is classic. You ruined it.
