Blind Mag stepped onto the stage at the GeneCo Opera House as she had hundreds of times over her years as "the Voice of GeneCo"... but this time she knew would be different. This time would be her last.

 

She had announced her retirement as GeneCo's soprano, and they hype that had gone along with her decision mostly masked the terror that was to come. GeneCo had granted her sight many years ago with their technologically advanced implants, and with her contract broken, it was only a matter of time before their repo man came to reclaim her eyes.

 

She had her plans to rob them of their victory. Her swan song at the opera would be most... memorable. She glanced into the wings and saw that the Largo family was there, all but Amber, who had been eagerly awaiting her chance to seize Mag's spotlight. That would come soon enough. Stoically, she connected herself to the rigging that would fly her above the stage so that none would miss her boldest performance to date.

Blinded, Mag was unable to see which of the Largo family slashed the rope that suspended her above the spiked wrought iron fence. It mattered not. Her final performance had been most final indeed.

 

 

Peace, Blind Mag - Town Cop, has been killed.

 

Meanwhile, in a less savory part of town, Amber Sweet was rushing to meet her Zydrate connection: me. Graverobber, at your service.

 

She hurried down a dark alley, as she had dozens upon dozens of times. Miss Sweet, you see, was addicted to plastic surgery, and as a result, addicted to Zydrate. She was nearly to her destination when she was grabbed by the arm and roughly spun against a wall. A man stood before her in a black rubber suit, goggles glowing an eerie blue shade in the shadows.

 

"You have something that belongs to us. Several somethings, in fact."

 

Amber Sweet clutched at her surgically enhanced breasts and began to protest loudly that she could not be slated for repossession. She was Rotti Largo's daughter, and more likely than any of his other children to inherit GeneCo. He would never... but the knife stopped that argument quite nicely.

Mostly the cyan ones. I feel nervous about her volunteering to be lynched, but also think she is sincere about being a townie. I just don't feel like I have anyway to support a vote.

 

Notice - I will be out of town this Saturday, so there might be a lack of posting from me on that day.

 

As I watch this progression, to me it looks like Kronos jumped in the game and tried to start something with Ishy, just a bit at first, and then did nothing but straddle the fence ever since. Since Ishy flipped mafia, my guess is this was a plan to get some posts in, but not really case or even have to vote. It's the complete lack of any sort of decisions that's setting off my scumdar

And second of all, you are casing kronos like he has experience. Kronos is new first of all, he's not someone experienced, and second of all, fence-sitting isn't even that bad.

Fence sitting isn't horrible, but after his first post or two being a little more aggressive, it seemed like a ploy to me.

Oh man, I didn't realise that we lost the cop! I evidently didn't read the Night action thing thoroughly enough. That was a big loss for the first night. Going to reread to look for connections to Ishy.

Ok, just finished my reread, and I've noticed that Basel Gill has gone quiet for a bit, but BB does appear to be lurking. I'm 90% certain that I'm not going to get a good response from her until tomorrow because of RL stuff, but she hasn't actually helped town much at all, still is on a very low post count and seems to be hiding too much. Just going to vote BB to try and get some more activity out of her.

So, I'm just going to go ahead and outline theories everywhere and on everyone.

 

First of all is John Snow-He hasn't exactly posted much, as Random said. However, I did notice a post of his in the middle of the game, when enough had happened for a comment to be made, where his only post was spam. He was reading the thread but chose to post spam instead of something game-related? I'd love to hear more from him.

 

Basel-Again, would love to hear more from my lovely mentor, but he is pining me a bit...when we were both called out for inactivity, he turned up and voted me quick-smart. No further reasons for his inactivity and no votes on him. Of the two of us it was a fifty-fifty who was going to get the inactivity prod votes and his mysterious arrival when his name was mentioned (part of what built that first case on Rand) was not commented on. Also, he posted practically nothing, and then jumped on the Cyan train. He's a very good sneaky scummer I remember from my first game...FoS

 

Random-Have to think about this one more. Posts have generally been pretty helpful and seems like a decent scum-hunter bloke, the vote on WBK strikes me as a bit odd, but...getting basically a town read, but have some weird feeling he might be the vig...

 

Nolder-Alrighty, here we go, my original point: he voted without reason, admitting he hadn’t read the thread. The other voter for him to follow at this stage was Ishy who is now proven scum, which is a big deal for the Nolder train. He claimed a power role but didn't specify-so no-one can counterclaim? Unfortunately, if he does have a town power role, then he is either the Town RB or the doc. Also, he ignored his train for a long while before revealing, posting cases on other people and such. If he was going to reveal, then why not do it earlier? Definitely on my list.

 

WBK-getting the idea that he is just a noob, but is over-playing that card a bit, I feel.

 

Darthe-Basically getting a town read. Hasn't really done anything stand out except for opening Cyan for a hammer.

 

Kae-She was getting the activity going and such in the first few pages, getting a town read fro her until that weird refusal to put Cyan at L-1 and the quick hammer soon after

 

Rand-I think he made a few mistakes and then got frustrated at having to dig himself out, but he also defended Cyan, and Ishy was quite aggressively Rand-hunting in the first few pages which was either actual lynch-mongering from the scum which implies Rand is town, or just blatant distancing, but personally I think Ishy was pushing too hard for it to be distancing. So basically, town read from Randy

 

Dice-LURKER!!!!!! Need to hear more stuff from the southerner! Don't really know what to think yet.

 

Mish-refused to get on the Nolder train, I think this could have been a scummy lynch delay tactic. She jumped on Cyan instead with dodgy reasoning. Cyan had a few good reasons to be voted (although now proven false) and Mish's was relatively irrelevant. Next person to join this weak train was Ishy, I believe, or at least very soon afterwards. Mish also then defended Starry from Peace's accusation of him defending Rand. And now Peace is dead. Major FoS

 

And finally my good friend Starry :p -Very defensive of Rand first up, not a big deal, Starry plays defence much more often than he goes aggressive, however, when Peace accused him of defending Rand he made some sappy excuse and Mish leapt to his rescue, something that was followed up by Peace dying. Keeps playing that 'I'm a bad player'/noob thing, and on top of that, he's edited twice. I don't like it. Add to that his most recent scummy vote on me for inactivity of all things after a night like that and Starry is getting a big, fat FoS from me.

 

I'd love to address the reasoning behind why people are dead.

 

Cyan was the first to go. Her lynch I feel was almost completely scum fuelled. Mish voted for her. Ishy voted for her. Basel voted her.

Seeing as we now know that Ishy was scum, it makes me very suspicious of these early two that kicked the train off. When Mish cast the first vote, the focus was entirely on Nolder. Her refusal to vote Nol and her vote on Cyan have both given me serious pings.

 

Peace was NKed. That means she did something to warrant an NK. All I can see that she might have done to achieve this, is this little exchange between her, Starry and Mish. Starrik has pinged me several times and he went very defensive on Rand (refer to several of Starry's early posts). Peace called him out on it. Starry gave some dodgy little excuse and Mish leapt to his defence. Peace kind of dropped off the radar for a bit and boom, next thing we know, she's gone.

 

Ishy was scum, dunno who the vig could be, I've just got some weird gut feeling it might be Random...

 

So basically, I'm looking mainly at Starry, Mish, Bas and Nolder.
