I don't like these vague insinuations. What makes you so sure he's scum. I'm a little annoyed at the moment, and also starting to think YOU are the scum, now setting up for 2 birds in one stone.

Well at least we agree about vague insinuations. Are you still referring to Tyrin because if so you need to clarify that. Night strike, your last few messages only say "you" rather than a name.

I meant when Despo voted peace, who in fact turned out to be a scummie. Unless Despo is some solo scummie (Fain's probably solo, right?) or a whole other team of scum ... Although I suppose some Forsaken might have worked alone in the series. I find it unlikely that Despo was on a team with peace. If he's Fain, then maybe he shouldn't have been vocal in finding scum?

Maybe Turin can specify what he has for a case?

Night is ending now. If you receive any night action results, please do not post anything about them until Night has officially ended!

Sorry for the delay everyone. I was, erm...distracted by the AMoL prologue. Yay!

In the last hours before dawn, someone creeps through the house in Falme where the sul'dam and damane lie sleeping. The intruder slips into a room on the second floor and smiles wickedly at the girl sleeping on a pallet there. She won't survive the Night.

(Player) Egwene al'Vere, Town Dreaming God, has been killed.

Day 3 begins. Your deadline is Monday, September 24 @ 2PM CST.

With 17 alive, it takes 9 to lynch.

Despo, in smash bros the reason EP died was Lily used the absorb power that night. When it was used, the person using it was unaffected, which you knew as your mirror ability was very similar. That is the only game I have ever played it was used so I asked. Nolder seems to say it can go either way as a mod call.

As to you, I can see you easily as mafia this game. You know that I read you better than most. You have most calling you town. My presence could cause you difficulties. Hence... Maybe you take a chance thinking you can get the claimed cop lynched.

Your day one push of setup talk was distracting from the goal of looking for mafia. On day one there is no basis for said discussion so to keep bringing it up is not helping. To throw the possibility of forsaken and to claim they are worse than mafia is also anti town IMO. It is a classic mafia technique to shine the light on anything that lessens the pressure on your team. It works too (I.e. game of thrones). Or not (chrissy in spider). Add some Despo mafia comments and I can definitely see you as a Mafioso.

Peace? You never met a bus you didn't like. If you are going for town cred, drive the bus.

Ahh yes, I forgot EP wasn't using the Absorber ability that night.

I'll admit that you usually do seem capable of reading me better than most, but at the same time you have admitted yourself that you usually find me scummy. In fact, when were not teammates there's always some point in the game where you pretty much start going against me pretty heavily. And the fact is, while a bit of paranoia can obviously be healthy in any mafia game, and I am most certainly not vetted as town yet, I don't have a problem with you being wary of me, but the way you're already starting to tunnel on me seems strange, since there are already other suspicious type folks in the game.

In fact, I find it pretty odd that you call me out for trying to get the claimed cop lynched, when you yourself were already casting doubt on his claim as well. This doublespeak from you seems like you're trying to manipulate multiple sides against one another. Forsaken much?

Speaking of the Forsaken, I still think that if they are third party, they honestly represent a slightly bigger threat to town. The way I see it, we prob have two competing mafia teams, Fain and co. vs. the Seanchan. Peace was right about one thing: scum do tend to have a bit of fun posting more often, and with them having teammates it's usually easier to draw connections between them. Forsaken in this game will prob do a much more effective job at lurking in the shadows and not standing out.

Not only that, but there is a good chance that the mafia could end up taking each other out with their NK's, making it even easier for us, yet the Forsaken most likely will not expose themselves as easily.

Another reason I think the Forsaken could represent a bigger threat is the chance of NK's. Lynch a mafia member, and his team will usually retain their NK. Lynch a Forsaken, and there's a good chance that town will have one less NK to worry about.

As for bussing, you know of course that I have no problem sacrificing a teammate to help achieve a goal, but you also know that I am a fairly good scumhunter. The fact that you immediately jump to the conclusion that I bussed Peace seems like you're trying to discredit me.

I think Turin is being ambiguous on purpose in regards to me. We'll see once day comes tho.

As for Fain, I have been toying around with the idea that Fain could be acting solo. I mainly felt he was grouped up with other Darkfriends cause of the storyline to TGH, but we shouldn't chain ourselves to cannon, for we would risk gaming the mod.

I suppose Fain could be the SK like someone else mentioned, and that the Forsaken are in fact in control of the Darkfriends. At least one of them that is... I could see Ishamael being the leader of the Darkfriends with Lanfear and Fain being third party.

Blech. Pretty much every person I've had a town read on has been killed. And a Dreamer, assuming that's what Player was, can be a very powerful town role.

There is some good news however, in the fact that we only had 1 death. I think Alanna purposefully made the scene a bit ambiguous so we wouldn't be able to immediately discern which group might be responsible for the death. If it was Seanchan, then the Forsaken kill we saw night 1 could mean we have an odd night SK. Same goes the other way around, if it was Forsaken.

Another explanation for the sole death could be that GF is telling the truth, and was targeted last night but there is another protective role of some kind out there. But this could be wifom, as GF could be part of a mafia team that just withheld their kill to make this seem like a possibility. Gonna withhold my vote for now.

Ahhh okay I assumed it was a reg Dreamer type role. More of a JOAT kinda

Kae, can you quote it or something, mafiascum is blocked on my work computer.

The Dreaming God is a role that possesses a list of many flavor names for one-shot abilities. Pregameand during each Night, it must compulsively choose one ability to use. The Dreaming God is not told what any ability does, although the flavor name of each ability may provide some kind of hint in this regard.

The Dreaming God's one-shot abilities do not necessarily target players. The intent of the role is that each ability causes a global passive effect on the entire game - for instance, allowing all players to speak to each other privately for the duration of the game, or drastically shortening the deadline. The Dreaming God's abilities are generally spread in effect between positive, neutral, or negative effects.

Dreaming God has no inherent alignment. Its name comes from its original flavor in Mind Screw Mafia, where it was the role name of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Hmm, this is a strange turn of events but fits with my previous reasoning. We obviously have some xshot variables and if I am not mistaken we will see a kill from Fain again soon, but then this is all conjecture based on a single day so who can say? Nonetheless it seems apparent that the reason there were more kills off the bat yesterday is because of the massive player claims (massive meaning big time characters). For now I am following exactly what I said before and voting LZM

MODNOTE: I'm going to update the second post with links to the start of each day. You can also find final vote counts there.

Thanks Despo.

 Not sure what to make of that role.

Anyone ever played with it and can explain the mechanics to me?

For reasons I do not intend to divulge I will state that I know of it. It can be a completely erratic gamechanger or practically useless but having it gone may remove some WIFOM. If I am not mistaken the main point of it was to help Mat or some extremities group in the game. Ie: the role could have used an ability which took us back from day 5 to day 2. Or it could have given the mafia an extra kill. Or made everyone hated town for the next day. Things that may or may not be useful to certain individuals etc, but the user wouldn't be fully aware of which power they were unleashing on the game for balance purposes.
