I agree with Asmo that in a basic game, character names should not be tied to roles. However, it is undeniable that this game does have a theme, and that character names can be useful to sort out claims and fakeclaims. Look at what happened with Moridin. I don't see the point of the argument.

Moridin was picked off because he made a terrible fake-claim and because you countered him - role names didn't have a thing to do with it!

The only significance that the entire name argument has is that it is evidence that Graendal used it to try and distract players with it while positioning herself to look good when Moridin lynched scum. That's it...

Why in the world would anyone bother to play a game where you could figure out who was who based on a character name? That defeats the entire purpose. That's like saying that in every Star Wars game, Darth Vader has to be mafia - it's simply not the case.

The fact that so many people read the quotes where Graen says "I'll buy that reveal" and then a minute later, "but there is a problem with the name" is alarming. This is either obvious scum straddling and trying to look neutral, or Graen is new to the game, which would be funny given the amount of attitude attached.

Arez give it up, nobody said anything about the name, POET for all we know could be in the game, but POET is NOT an Admin. If someone is going to claim they need to atleast know what they are claiming before hand. When Halima revealed I knew one was scum and based on the botched claim it had to be Moridin simple as that.

Also your whole last statement is a complete "Holier Than Thou" statement. You telling me you never posted something and then spotted a falicy right after? Complete and utter bull.

Cool well when you get a case that will stick on me Asmo or should I say Arez, (I thought I recognised that attitude of yours), then come with it. You are coming at me with nothing.

This is an absolutely SCUMTASTIC post - what is the matter with you people?

Dragging real identities into the game is absolutely meta and scummish. Amazing how you don't have a minute to waste on explaining yourself (until you get someone to stage it for you...) but you find time to post this kind of nonsense?

I also got a newsflash for ya pumpkin - I ain't Arez. LMAO at people wasting their time gobbling up your meta game-slop.

You telling me that in a game where everyone is judging you for every post that you make, you never thought to try an mislead them with a seemingly innocent post? Complete and utter bull. You my dear, are full of it.

Actually I am telling you that, I'm usually manipulating behind the scenes as scum or straight out arguing illogicaly.

So you agree that you are scum - glad we have that settled!

That's not what I said at all lol. Like I said before, feel free to lynch me, but a few of you will be hanging yourselves when you do.

Honestly, you've already done the "go ahead and lynch me" scumdance - you don't need to do it again. Also, the "Sure, I manipulate when I'm scum, but I'm all logic when I'm town!" thing doesn't typically fly well. Just FYI.

Classic.

Right because you are doing some epic scum hunting by tunneling on a townie. When this game is over I'm going to enjoy bursting your bubble with an I told you so.

Last time I checked, I led the charge on the Moridin case while Demandred defended him and you focused on SH.

Halima CC'ing is what got him lynched, but when we look back to see where people stood, I find your position and focus questionable.

Can someone please clarify what's happening here..

Asmo is on Graendal because she's played scummy in his opinion? Reasons: bullying, claiming to "know" the game setup, somethingsomething, ???he doesn't think SH is scum??? because Moridin tried to sheep SH?

Graendal defends herself, thinks Asmo is town bulldogging her, wants to vote SH because she thinks Moridin tried to defend another scum mate (they couldn't afford to lose another)?

Correct?

So it's safe to assume that, Asmo and SH are "teaming" up, Graendal and Halima are "teaming" up in this "debate".

I think it's more logical to assume that Moridin tried to sheep SH. I thought it was VERY obvious SH was going to die when I replaced in this game. I was surprised he didn't get lynched.

In a situation like that, I think scum often try to gain town cred by defending someone they know are going to die anyway. But then it backfired the hell out of him.

So I'm thinking, did Moridin distance himself from anyone in particular? Cause I'm either going for that person, or I'm going with the Asmo side of this argument.

Verbal sat on the edge of his bed and put the volume up slighting on his TV to create background noise; putting the ear bud into his right ear, he spoke calmly into the receiver.

“So now what? They’ve already got Nae, are you sure she wont talk Quibby?”

Quibby responded, in his normal confident tone. “Ofcourse she wont, she knows better than to.”

Barm sighed, rubbing his temples. “Well its still not good that we’re already down a member. I also don’t think Nae will turn on us ..”

“She wont.” Quibby interrupted in a confident manner, using the tip of his rather large pocket knife to clean the dirt from below his well groomed fingernails.

“How can you be so sure,” Nyn hissed, annoyed at Quibby’s cocky manner. A cold chuckle answered her back, “Because, she knows that I’ll take no issue with hunting her down and gutting her like a pig if she does. For that matter, if any of you do.” Nyn clicked her tongue in an irritated manner, “None of use is going to talk Qubby, you know that as well as I do. So you can take your male macho posturing bullshit and shove it before I come over there and cut you myself.”

“Alright you two, knock it off!” Barm snapped, having enough of this bickering; the last thing he needed was his group fighting internally, right now they needed to work together as a team. “Look, I know we’re all on edge right now; but we can’t let this divide us. That will do nothing except give Jason and Jenn the advantage, something we can’t afford.”

Verb walked over to the mini-bar and withdrew a candy bar and a shot of Tequilla; if he had a cigarette on him, he’d be lighting that up as well, but a $5 candy bar and $7 shot of alcohol would have to suffice in the midterm. “So what do you suppose we do then, Barm?”

It was Quibby who responded, “We should give them something else to consider, like a distraction or something.” Barm stroked his chin and nodded absentmindedly, “That’s actually a good idea Quibby; did you have anything in mind?”

Quibby thought for a minute, then fished his sharpening stone out of his bag and began running his blade over it, a swift wisk-wisk sounding from his work. Sharpening his knives was his zen place, something that helped clear his mind and helped him do his best thinking. After a few seconds, he spoke again.

“We could kill some people, here at the hotel. Fellow DMers. That would occupy the fuzz and plus put the rest of them into a panic. Hell, it might even get Jason and Jenn to cancel this little foray. “

Verb chocked on his candy bar and slammed his fist against his chest at this and Nyn responded in a cold tone. “Yeah, commit murder in a crowded Hotel with lots of surveillance and the police crawling all over it. Great idea!” Barm chuckled at the overwhelming amount of sarcasm dripping from Nyn’s tone.

“No, actually this might work. I’ve still got the software I used to hack the server. I’ll bounce it off a few IPs around the world and run it through a scrubber and shut the security system down near midnight. It’ll take them about 45 minutes to restore the power which is enough time to do what needs to be done. Quibby, do you think you could manage lifting a master key for us?”

Quibby glanced across his bed to the table, not breaking his steady back and forth movement of the knife. “Already did.” He answered in a smug manner.

Barm nodded, pulling up a map of the Hotel on his laptop and choosing a room. “Alright, we’ll meet at room 203 about 5 minutes after midnight; Quibby, bring your knives.”

They all agreed, and disconnected the call.

Winterwinds was flipping idly through the channels on his television, not able to get to sleep. He couldn’t believe that anyone on DM would do this, but he also couldn’t disagree with Jason and Jenn; if they said this was happening, then it must be happening. He stiffened as the door opened and a group of people walked into his room unannounced.

“What the hell!” He threw back the bed sheet and jumped out of bed in alarm, flipping on the lap as he stood there. Barm and Verb approached him and Quibby hung back hiding his lovely set of friends. Nyn stood by the door and slid the chain lock into place. Before Winterwinds could react any further, Barman d Verb jumped him; slamming him to the ground and shoving a balled up sock in his mouth to muffle his screams. Quibby withdrew one of his bigger knives, and approached Winterwinds in a very methodical manner.

“This is Diane, and she’s dying to introduce herself to you.” Winterwinds eyes widened is pure horror and panic as the realization dawned on him what was happening. He screamed and kicked and struggled, but it did him no good.
