Obama or Romney.
Barack or Mitt.
Muslim or Mormon.
Liberal or conservative.
Democrat or Republican.
Paper or plastic.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Wouldn't it just be simpler to write in GrandpaG?

Just think.
If I won, I could afford to actually retire some day!
WITH benefits!

What?

You think that should be available to ALL of our citizens?
What are you?
Some kind of socialist or something?
Do you know what that would cost?

Nope.

Much cheaper to just keep it for the select few at the very top of the pile.

* nods *

Yup.
That's better.
UUUuuuhhhmmm...as long as it's ME at the top, that is!

Also good gravy please don't tell me you buy into that stupid Limbaugh tripe about Obama being a Muslim.

Baron of Butt Bombs.
King Crap of Feces Mountain.

Do I detect a pattern here?

No.
I don't buy into any political tripe.
Thus, this thread.

It's a pity that our political system cannot be taken seriously but that is the truth as I see it.
The only thing serious about it is the amount of money that the elections generate.
Yes. I would like to have a small piece of that pie. I'm just too lazy to go after it.
Other than taking time to post here, that is.

I really don't care what country she is from.

A vote is a vote.

I don't have any real cash to offer for votes but I can offer some really tempting empty campaign promises!

Only five more months to suffer through the endless bombardment.

Hang in there...we can make it...we're tough...let them give us their best shot...political crap can be survived.

Let it roll off from you by staying under the GrandpaG umbrella of protection.

Show them that all of their money can't buy your vote.

Write in GrandpaG and WIN !!!

Money has never bought votes, it just buys attention. Which of course is that which you most crave.

I do so crave attention be it positive, negative, or neutral. RP. First Fool performance. Posting in DM in itself is a way of putting oneself on display for all the world to see. This post is driving primarily by my thirst for having other people being aware of my existence. And, am I all that different from others? Strange? Odd? I think not. The main difference is that I admit my addiction. And, I am NOT ashamed of it. I hold it dear to me. Without my addiction GrandpaG would have long ago faded away as so many have. And you all would never have had the golden opportunity to write in the name of a candidate who can truly make a difference. Someone who really DOES have the needed answers to the woes facing our beloved nation.

Have you heard about the gang wars in Chicago? Want to know how to put an end to it all permanently? WRITE IN GRANDPAG !

Do you think the unemployment rate is too high? Need a good plan to put America back to work? WRITE IN GRANDPAG !

Do you think that we should pay less tax and have more benefits? WRITE IN GRANDPAG !

Admit it. You have nothing to lose. It's only one vote. Have some fun this election year. WRITE IN GRANDPAG !

Thanks for the attention.

I haven't seen or heard anything in the news yet about me posing any serious threat to either candidate so I guess that the time has come to change my campaign strategy.

* takes off his gloves *
* prepares for some bare knuckle action *

It's time to pull out all of the stops and get down to some nasty politics.

Drastic times call for drastic measures.

Mud slinging.

Negative ads.

Sex sells.

No more mister nice guy.

Here's the real poop:

If you vote for either one of those other guys, you're wasting your vote.

Neither one of them gives a darn about any of you.

They just want to be rich and powerful.

Well, so do I, but that's beside the point.

And, no, I don't care about anyone but myself either, but that's why I'm the perfect person for the job.

At least I admit it.

You want to talk about unemployment? What does the President have to do with that? How many people can he employ or should he employ? Government should not be in the business of getting people jobs. Create an environment that is favorable for good paying jobs? The only control the President has over that is the big club that he can whop the senators and congressmen over the head with if they get out of line. In short, it won't make any difference whatsoever whether you elect one of those other guys or me. None of us will be able to get the job done. The American business community has the control over who works and who doesn't. It is THEIR responsibility to keep decent paying jobs in the U.S. of A. But, their ethic is greed based which means they don't care about the workers any more than we candidates do. They will ensure that their own pockets remain well padded and they will actually believe that the age old system that they thrive in is just and right. If a few dollars have to trickle down to the peons now and again to keep the country out of rebellion then that just can't be avoided so it must be endured. Anyway. If the workers make more money then the government will just take more of their hard earned pay in the form of taxes. So why trickle down any more than is absolutely necessary. Let the leaders deal with the issue. That's what they get paid for.

As for crime...

There has always been crime and there will always be crime. Adding more cops to prevent crime is ridiculous. That's like giving the cops bigger guns. Escalation leads to countering. The trick is to have a well trained force that can respond quickly as incidents arise. Other than that, the old fashion cop walking a beat to give a feeling of presence and reassurance is money well spent. Chasing people to ticket for not wearing seat belts is overkill and not cost effective. Vote for me and I PROMISE that I will do away with all of the crime. TRUST ME!!!

Welfare.

What's wrong with welfare? Nothing. As long as it is not abused. When we care for our citizens in need we show that we are an advanced society. When our citizens play the system to get a free ride the entire population suffers monetarily and mentally. Our government should be heavily into caring for people with physical and mental needs regardless of station or age. Just because a man is well off does not mean that he is any less entitled to the compassion of his community than the man who doesn't have a dime. Those other candidates might tip toe around this topic and try to match me but they can't. I'm the best man for the job. WRITE IN GRANDPAG!!!

Military.

I spent 21 years in the Naval Reserve. It was a good part time job. I'll get a pension with benefits if the rules don't change. I got to travel to many places that I will never be able to afford to visit again. Thank you to all of the taxpayers who made this possible for me. Did I earn the money? Not really. Weekend drills were wasted time. The two week active duty trips got me away from home for a nice vacation but did little to prepare me for any real event. I believe that the military is necessary to ensure that Red Dawn never happens (watch the movie sometime). I also believe that our present system is extremely wasteful. Our leaders used our military might as it should be when we went after the bad guys after 9-11. Then they lost focus and several thousand families lost loved ones in a war that they should not have been led into. The world expects us to throw our weight around and we do. Write me in and I will make sure that we have the best equipped troops in the world but they won't cost us a dime. When they're not fighting, I'll have them filling potholes and directing traffic. Or mowing lawns for little old ladies. GrandpaG has ALL the answers and those other guys got NADAH!!!

Fine print: all of the above is pure BS. Anyone who takes any of it seriously deserves to vote for one of those other guys. (I can't get the smiley to work so insert your favorite here).
