I'd like to reiterate that I was redirected last night. That's why I voted for Cuathon... Though there could be 2 redirectors, but it makes more sense to me Cuathon or Red are lying. I'm disposed to say Cuathon based on yesterday and today's actions, though if he flips town then Red is up.

 

I've been thinking of this too. And I'm sorry for Cauthon for having this kind of a first DM game, but if we have a deadline that close and with all these ^^ things...

I'm sorry for you. But as you said yourself, lynching you would indeed give some perspective of this game. And if you don't want to play anymore, then this is also the easier solution for you and mod (no more replacers to look for)

I think that I have enough votes on me now that the lynch won't be derailed so I can make this my last post:

I think that Red and Kae are mafia. It is somewhat covered by Red's meta, which is why the meta is anti town. Red identifies a lot of things as scum tells which aren't such as the comment on the miller. She pushes really hard on stuff and she only gets away with it because of her meta as a "bulldog" which fyi, is offensive and speciest. Her meta protects her from a lot of slip ups because "impulsive" and "aggressive" people act similar to really guilty and off balance scum. In most of the places I play she would just keep getting policy lynched till she stopped. 90% of the time that kind of meta is only good for providing cover for mafia and offers easy opportunities to follow her lead. I can call her meta anti town also because as mafia I would just leave her alive and watch her throw everyone off my scent. Just think about it, if you were mafia would you rather have reasoned stable players who don't draw lots of attention or would you rather have someone like Red? I've also won numerous games by playing the "aggressive" player and both leading and confusing the town, its a pretty useful mafia trick depending on who you are playing with.

 

I am also pinging off Soyo, Tina, Corrosive, and Des. You kids have fun now.

 

I was on the fence about which of you (you or red) to vote... I added my vote for pressure, not neccesarily to see you lynched. That being said, with what you said, and my already major suspcions about her, I believe I'll switch to her.

I didn't actually keep track of names of votes for me. Its just a reasonless ping. I looked at names on the list and the black box in my brain said scum. I don't know why. I don't want to be unvoted. I am just providing a reason to vote Red tomorrow. That is why I think Red is scum. I suggest you vote for me because the deadline is soon. I can't vote for me cause modkill. I wouldn't want a random player to die if people don't vote by the deadline.

You mean a fool? Fools are poor game design. I would hope a serious host wouldn't use one. In any case if I was a fool it would be too obvious.

As the sun set, still the group could not make a decision. They argued back and forth, but still no one was put forward as today's candidate to die. The clouds rolled and twisted in the sky above and as the sun set a jagged fork of lightning arced downwards from the clouds. The brilliant light blinded everyone for a few moments and when their eyes recovered they were stunned to find Berelain's smoldering corpse on the ground.

What do you all feel a fair deadline would be? If all actions get submitted i will break day, or you can hold it off until the 27th to give everyone a chance to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones. Thoughts?

I believe several people are traveling this weekend. The added time would probably help them not feel so harried to keep up as much with the game so they can enjoy the holiday. I would vote for the extension.

And I'd like to hear from BG as well. Because Levity's claim on re-directing him on Night 1 clashes with him saying he was not re-directed at all on that night (There's also the matter of night 2 where he was re-directed and Cauthon claimed he re-directed Ishy, but that's not really suspicious, cause there could be a second re-director at play that was trying to screw with us).

 

And I'm fine with waiting so people can enjoy the holidays, if that's what the majority wants.

This post pinged me, and still does. If he got a scum result, he should have shared. A Lightsworn result he should have kept to himself. The only reason, and I'm pretty sure Red said this, that we kept the list we got to ourselves, is because I didn't get mine, and the scum don't need to know who gets which list. We can confirm things from the list we have from the last day phase, and while I realize you all may not trust that, you have to see that that is safer than the scum being able to permanently roleblock the person whose list they don't like.

 

Your results do concern me as it helps me to vet you in my own mind if truth is spoken. Many of your results can be given from insider mafia knowledge, especially if the mafia has a tracker/watcher type. I've been on a mafia team that had both before. So, until I see a list of who was targeted last night. I say nothing. RBing AND silencing Kae seems like overkill mafia.

I've never seen a mafia team have a tracker/watcher type role. Seems to me that would be pretty unfair to the town.

RBing and silencing me was overkill in my opinion too, and it was extremely annoying.

I know some people have been saying that having a watcher/tracker team is overpowered, but it really isn't. There's not a whole hell of a lot of difference between having each role in the game, and having those roles be on a mason team. The only benefit is we can talk to each other, and we know each other is town.

BG, you also said I revealed early, which is part of why you still don't trust the reveal. I revealed when I did because I didn't want there to be a chance of me coming back to being dead. This is the most fun, most useful role I've had in a while, and it's useful to the town.

Why do you want the list of who was targeted specifically? It troubles me. You don't know what list Red got. So you could have asked for whatever list Red was handed. Or, alternatively if you don't buy Kae being role blocked and silenced then you could have demanded both lists. And yet your focus right now is on the list of people that were targeted. Seems rather fishy.

This, very much. Why did you ask for a certain list, instead of just whatever list we had? It seems pretty fishy to me also.

 

I thought it was pretty straight forward I was referring to the lists and not the watcher/tracker being together as a Neighborhood Watch team Red... ya know... considering Cuathon said nothing about the team aspect. Two different points completely.

 

As for wanting the list, I know who I targeted. You do not. Therefore if the name is on the list of who I targeted, I have more reason to believe you. Course IF Kae was blocked then I can understand you not wanting to say, as you said you want to leave it WIFOMY about who has what role... but leaves me at an impasse still about the truthfulness of your claims.

 

@Ama, I didn't say I 100% didn't believe both happened to Kae, I said it seems like it would be wasteful from a mafia perspective. Also the roles list isn't important to me in vetting them, so I didn't ask for it. I want to see if they saw the person I visited get visited, simple as that. This being blocked thing makes it convenient not to reveal and keeps them protected if they are lying. My interest is in finding if they are lying or not.

 

But it also makes it so you force us to risk having the more useful of the two of us NK'd. I see your POV, I just don't agree with it. If you are our finder, I wish you would just view one of us instead of trying to force us into revealing who gets which list, which isn't a very town play, IMHO.

 

I'm not going to put the quotes, but I just want to say, when Nyn had her theory about Spirit, and I said he wasn't targeted that night, what's your opinion on that, BG? Also, Nyn asking if she was targeted N1, and us confirming it, opinion on that also, please.

 

Okay, got ninjad. Went back and found it too. I was looking at your earlier reveal. You think I'd be that sloppy as mafia to miss that?

I think it is pretty weird to instantly vote for me because I am suspicious of a really really bizarre role claim.

Red came off incredibly defensive as soon as someone said his role claim was suspicious.

 

She pressure voted him. Big difference between that and being "incredibly defensive". And I've already covered the overpowered role thing.

Why do I have this sickening feeling that Red, Kae, and BG are scamming us all... I really don't like that people who have already claimed roles won't reveal any information... I'm still catching up but as far as I've seen Red has only revealed N1 actions and and neither red nor BG have revealed N2 actions. Reasons: Red supposedly wanting to protect which of the two roles she and kae has, and bg for some odd reason won't reveal until red does... it's all to twisted to me...

 

I also find it interesting that the mafia didn't simply whack one of those three. I mean that's three reveals and the mafia hasn't even taken a shot at one of them? I don't like any of their reveals and frankly am starting tho think they're all full of it.

 

Well, I also am starting to feel like BG is scamming us, but you have my word that Red and I are telling the truth. I know you don't know me very well, but I hope those of you in this game who do will vouch for me that when I give my word, I don't go back on it, and I'm not lying.

And I also find it surprising that the mafia haven't taken a shot at BG, Red, or myself, unless it's because they can never be sure who the doc chose to protect, and don't wish to risk wasting an NK.

 

So, at this point, I am gonna say that Cauthon is WAY more scummy then Red.

I wonder though....Now, I could be way wrong, because, well, my mind isn't what it used to be, but I would rather lynch Cauthon.

So if the point is to keep her thoughts out of the game, it was doomed to fail.

 

It think it does make sense. They eliminated Kae's involvement from the thread, which leaves Red a lot more exposed to us pressuring her for information. After all, finding out which list each of them gets would be beneficial to scum. The targeted list can flush them out of any role claim they might attempt which would limit their maneuvering throughout the day considerably. So the one that gets that list is the one they need out of the way.

 

As for why neither Kae nor Red got lynched during the night? My reasoning is the following. Scum don't know who the healer is protecting. They don't know which of them gets the targeted list. So there's a significant chance that they'll either nightkill the wrong one (aka the one that gets the role list) or get deflected by the healer. Not to mention that by nightkilling one of them, they'll be confirming the other one for us, via coroner report. Why do that if they can keep them around and keep us second guessing claims? So yes, scum kept them around but they also crippled them at the same time in the sense that they are unable to share their information with us without revealing who gets what.

Well I am going to check in here once a day tops. I am somewhat glad I didn't slog through the 500 or so spam posts in this thread since it would have been a waste of hours of my life since I'm getting lynched the first day in. Given that I am town and haven't been acting at all suspiciously in my opinion I can only conclude that it is some sort of culture clash that people are pinging off me so hard when the stuff I have been doing has never been considered scummy in other places I play. Again I am not taking it personally, I just don't think my chance to get the wagon off me is high enough to justify the time it would take. Since it looks like the player base here isn't viable for my huge size game, and I dislike both joke votes and the various excessive types of spam posts, I will bid you all fair well after this mafia. Now hurry up and lynch me. And since asking to be lynched is pretty much an anti town play, maybe just do a policy lynch on me :)

 

Also Cuathon... As of this whiney post about people being predjudice against you, you had a total of 2 votes according to Ama's vote count. Cut the I'm new at DM meta out and make an efficient casing on Red or whoever you think is being manipulative.

Well Cuathon, look at the bright side. If you do flip town, then Red is #1 on my needs to die list.

 

FOS you so hard for this. Cuathon, no matter how he flipped, has no bearing on whether Red and myself are town. Which we are. I would very much like an explanation of this remark. The more I re-read the last days events, the more I feel like you just want Red dead, which is almost as anti-town as you can get at this point. And since she is now celebrating Christmas with her mother, she can't defend herself either.

 

I will be back and if we need my vote I will vote for Cuat so it doesn't go to random.org but I disagree with why everyone is voting for him

 

He never did, even tho he showed up about 90 or so min before DL to drop the Jester possibility. I find this odd.

I also think an extended night would be just fine. Starting today about 4pm PST I'll be pretty much not online at all, except for just a bit tomorrow morning before work.

 

tl;dr for Eds :tongue: I think BG's play is very suspicious. If he was actually our finder, he should have just viewed on of us instead of creating all this confusion and WIFOM.

 

I'll be very interested to hear BG's answers to the questions I posed.
