*for those who dont know what i am on about, the teletubbies were a children's show about a group of weird creatures with televisions in their stomachs that talk with a baby-faced moon and are chased by a vacuum cleaner around their underground home.

 

My daughter has a teletubbie toy. When you press it´s tummy it begins to play the teletubbie song. But "press" doesn´t actually work, instead you have to hit it hard. So basically children learn how to beat cute toys and their mothers gets crazy by listening to the song over and over and over... Very evil toys.

It's a little bit hard for me to comment about the going ons at this point. Mostly because I'm personally not in a stage where I feel any sort of pinging towards a specific direction (yet). Sure, there's some controversial opinions about certain topics, such as joke votes, bandwagoning and so on. I respect the way every person chooses to look at it. Not sure if my own outlook on those matters would contribute in any way, but if anyone is interested in what I think I have no problem saying it.As far as joke votes go I think they are valuable. It gets people talking and it can help as we go on with the game and start putting the pieces together. Some of those joke votes could very well be intentional as far as the baddies go and might help making a connection along the way (and might not. Still, it remains as some sort of tool). As far as bandwagoning goes. It's good when it's on a baddie and bad when they're on a townie LOL Which is a dumb remark, perhaps, but it doesn't make it any less true. Might sound a little idealistic but seeing as there are so few guarantees in mafia games... every lynch is based on a house of cards that could either hold or collapse. In previous games I sometimes voted for people that I thought could be townies, but decided to rely on other's instincts and avoid a random kill. Sometimes it paid off, sometimes it didn't. As for Meesh's thoughts, I don't know if I she's indeed on to something or not. But it's definitely not something I'm going to dismiss. I'm going to keep it in mind and come back to it as the game progresses.Nyn

maybe I'm just too used to inflammatory posts where people are looking to pick a fight over their opinions

either way this was a pretty boring post that is only notable in how neutral/boring it is

she does make a promise to "come back" to Meesh's thoughts as the game progresses so if she held to that maybe that will make an interesting post

However, ironically enough, I like it there. Her whole voting reasoning....perceived hostility and changes in activity seem flimsy reasons to vote for someone. And voting BG to try and disproof that there might be a connection between them? Not very convincing. And yet, after BG's reveal she doesn't delay in unvoting. Sort of feels like she voted for him in the firs tplace because she felt pressed to due to circumstances. I also generally notice people that seem to switch their votes around a lot and in a random fashion. It's natural to debate between people that seem to have votes building on them but it's quite different to start shooting off in different directions without actual reasons.I'm not sure how I feel regarding BG's reveal. I think that's a matter to explore further in the upcoming days. And in regards to previous discussions (since I wasn't around) I'm not quick to condemn Nolder over wanting the discussion to move along over a topic that has been talked to death with the same couple of people (I would know... I do it quite a bit myself in other areas of DM lol). It boils down to repetitiveness and emotions running high because of the growing frustration. Not very conducive. she's provided the reasons that most of us accepted as proof of guilt

of course we can't forget that Song/Ledinna was in fact town so anyone on the lynch earns a finger wag for now and perhaps worse later

First off, Unvote As I do not know why Arlow had placed his vote.The entire interplay between Nolder and Soy and then Nolder and Pandy was interesting. I think there might be something going on with Nol and Soy. The argument did seem a little weird. Added to Nol's nearly condescnding brush off of Pandy leads me to question him.( I did like the semi A Few Good Men ref tho)At this point I will vote Nolder.

I wasn't overly concerned with this vote at the time but now I'm wondering if I might get a more detailed explanation?

what exactly about our argument seemed weird? and as I didn't even question your vote before now do you still find my "brush off" of Pandy scummy? I am assuming you found it scummy anyway since if you were just probing you could have said these things without the vote

That's probably fair enough. My only (bad) defense is that I still don't really get the whole D1 tricks for casing folks on the small things. It takes me a little longer to figure things out. For me to be all "FoS at player X for being the fourth person to post about topic Z." Is not me and feels wrong. Even commenting on the Nol/Soyo thing is a total crapshoot. I guess it is about laying a groundwork of previous statements to look at later. I am better at analyzing the history of the posts with refrence than digging out the clues as it were. All that said it has been overall quiet lately with the obvious exceptions that most are aware of. I'll read it again and see what I can find and try to give some thoughts.

IMHO part of D1 is to make a somewhat big deal out of little or even nothing
