[Basic] Girls Locker Room Mafia - Game Over

Blah. Sorry. Been really busy, but that's no excuse. Won't happen again I promise. And to make it up to all of you, let's get this thing moving.

I'm here again. And Ishy still isn't. Meh. Is he staying under the Radar?

 

I don't wanna hammer Ama, but she is REALLY pinging me.

 

This being a basic game, means most people don't HAVE roles... ie, vanilla. Plus according to the rules... "You are not allowed to claim your flavor role, only your mafia role." so I don't know what Ledinna is asking of me.

 

I am pretty sure Meesh and Kae are clear. For one thing, they didn't have to kill Womby as a Mafia team. He was doing a pretty good job confusing town and whilst there were suspicions on him, he gets that practically every game he plays. I love Wombypoo, but he does annoy me sometimes. So killing him, whilst possibly a good Twofer Gambit would be quite pointless. Anyway, I was part of the Twofer Gambit creation and the only reason we used that was because the person we were killing off was on the verge of getting lynched anyway. I'm not saying they couldn't have adapted it to this play... but... *shrugs*¹

 

The only thing that bugs me about Meesh is how coincidental it was been as Vig that every night there's been only one death. *shrugs* But Night two technically was a clever move. *shrugs* The other two nights niggle at me.² But I will let it slide for now.

 

In a basic set up like this, I really doubt there would be more than 3 mafia AND a vig. I am not 100% sure, but gut feel would be 3 mafia, a vig, doc and maybe 1 or 2 more roles and the rest... vanillas. 4 mafia and 1 vig would leave 7 townies.³ Which would be a bit imbalanced to me. *shrugs*

 

Also... can I check how long a person is allowed to be inactive before they get replaced? Ishy really isn't posted for a while. And I'm starting to think he's just hiding under the radar.⁴ Like I said, I get ocnfused when there are SO many inactives.

Quoting this so I can read it while I reply, I'm so tired and my brain is nearly shot for tonight--all my remaining brain-juice is going toward my Psychology exam that's due in a couple of hours. XD

 

Hummm...I'll bold the parts that stuck out and that I wanted to reply to....

 

1. I've heard of the Twofer Gambit before, but I was not in the game in which it was first done and no one had ever explained what it was, so this is actually great. I didn't know it was possible for a mafia to NK one of their own. Bussing during a lynch I totally get, but NKing always seemed like it was totally off-limits.

 

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I have already explained why, in a basic game, this is extremely unlikely. If there were 4 scum in this size of a game, which is what there'd have to be if Maw, Womby, myself and Kae were all scum, there would HAVE to be a doc, AT LEAST, and very likely a cop as well. Ishy is now the only remaining living player who has not weighed in in quite a while, but he's been around, and I doubt that if he were the doc he wouldn't have counter-claimed by now. And notice, no one else has. No one's claimed cop with a town OR scum read, and I've claimed uncountered vig with a scum kill to my credit. Logistically speaking, taking into account this is a basic game and not an advanced, if we were scum we'd have been countered by now.

 

2. Well, I don't know if you've reread the game, but there have only been 3 nights this far, and "the other two nights" were N1 and N3. N1 I shot Tina, which sounds perfectly reasonable if you think about it since I was very positive she was scum and was trying to get her lynched for most of the day but no one would listen to me. N3 I shot Wombat, who was scum, so I don't see why THAT niggles at you. XD And I figured shooting Kae would be a great move N2 because not only did it vet her as doc, but it ensured I wouldn't accidentally shoot a townie, either, which I was worried about after N1.

 

3. I think you're a bit confused, Boopsy. A vig IS a townie. If you are not town-aligned and have a kill, you cannot be a vigilante. I am town-aligned. If I wasn't, I'd be a SK. Your numbers were a bit off, too; I believe we started with 13, so with 4 scum that would be 9 town. Anyway. Just wanted to make sure you know what a vigilante is.

 

4. That's an excellent point you bring up--it would be good to know if Ishy is just lurking, or if he's really inactive. I'd like to think he's lurking, because he's active elsewhere and enough people have dropped out of this game when they were perfectly capable of playing still that it would piss me off to no end if Ishy needed replacement too. Not even joking.

Actually the niggly bit is not why Womby died. I popped champagne and chewed on massive amounts of frog legs for that. What niggles at me is the fact NOONE else died? Which means either the Mafia has given up on NKs or our Doc worked her magic right. Which I'm not saying is impossible, just... seems like the Town's really fortunate to be one step ahead of scum for the whole way so far. *shrugs* Again... not saying impossible... just.... niggly.

Okay, that makes more sense. I actually didn't think that would be a big deal, but I guess knowing what I know it makes more sense to me than to all those of you who kind of have to take my word and Kae's for it, plus logic.

 

The way I see it, there was no other kill because:

 

1. I stuck my neck out there to make sure people knew Kae was vetted, but I didn't say how, SO

2. The mafia assumed I was probably the cop, but whatever they thought, they knew I was probably some power role since I was hinting VERY strongly at it, SO

3. They shot me because I was unrevealed and they thought Kae would be self-protecting, BUT

4. Kae protected me (which she said earlier) so their shot failed.

 

That's what I think happened.

 

 

And I know, I really want to know how Ama flips. We need information right now, or a good, solid mafia lynch, or both.

It's good that you're keeping an open mind, Ledinna; however, I do have to say that in a basic game there is pretty much no other way Wombat as scum would have died at night and nobody else. As scum I couldn't have organized that, because I wouldn't have known there was a vig at this point and they wouldn't want to work with me anyway. Also, there would have to be a doc in this game at least, if there were going to be 4 scum to start with, and they would have counterclaimed Kae by now, especially once I vetted her.

 

My point being, don't completely rule out any option unless you have info from the mod telling you to do so, but also try and focus on realistic ones as much as possible--there is pretty much no other way you can explain how Wombat died and why I led the lynch on Maw (and started one on Wombat first).

 

It's also very interesting that you bring up the possibility of 2 scum remaining--I'd been running numbers in my head assuming there were 3 to start with, but 4 doesn't seem far-fetched. Still keeping my eye on you, Ledinna. And what do you think of BG and Ishy? You haven't mentioned them.

About BG - at first I felt that he's just lurking which made me a bit unsure about him, but now I get more towny feelings from him.

 

Ishy - he has been away so much that it feels kinda scummy. I don't get scummy feelings from his posts, though, so I'm not sure. And if he starts to be more active now, and he really was just too busy back then, that would give more direction. Still, a little more scummy than townie, if I have to choose.

The girls began lining up one by one at the door. Some wraped in towels others in their underwear or even less. All of them obviously female. "Carol, Lee, Ellie..." The names rattle off as the coach takes a rolecall. Everyone looks around nervously as this is going on, wondering when another attack will come. As the steam finally clears the rollcall ends and there's one extra figure in the crowd wraped in several towels. "What's your name sweetie?" The coach asks. "I'm Tabitha Tobisy," the girl says in a raspy voice, "I'm an exchange student from Canada." The coach raises his eyebrows but before he can say anything two of the girls rip the towels off "Tabitha" and reveal none other than Tommy Thompson. "Well son, you've sure made a mess of things today. I gotta head up to the principals office and let him know what happened." Tommy stares at him blankly, "You mean you're not going to expell me?" The coach turns around. "Hell no, you're my best player. I've got something much worse in mind for you. You'll be sitting out homecoming game while someone with not even half your talent plays." Tommy's face twisted in anger at that but also with relief that he wasn't being punished further. "Got it coach." The door closes and the two girls looked around at their teammates that were left. They all nodded and as one grabbed Tommy's hands and legs while they tore his last remaining bit of clothes off. After it was done they pushed Tommy to the ground, laughed at him, and walked out of the locker room with their trophy and all the towels they could grab. As the door was closing the last thing they saw was Tommy putting on a pair of pink and white underwear that he stole earlier and heading dejectedly towards the door.

At night you may choose to kill another player. You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

 

I have no idea on the theme tbh, I'll let someone else guess that. XD

Hmm...You know...I didn't even think about the doc at first, but the first time I remember actively thinking the mafia had shot Tina was when Red got shot N2...and as you know, I was agonizing majorly over whether or not I should shoot her. I don't think the mafia knew there was a vig, but I felt like maybe the mafia were trying to frame me, which wouldn't have been difficult, considering I started off the game in the spotlight. XD So yeah...part lucky guess, part intuition? XD

Aww, thanks, BG. That actually means a lot, since I felt like the first half of the game my reads were all wrong. I made a big effort starting D3 to reread and try and figure things out; I'm glad I was able to contribute so much after all.

 

Although, I have to say, Kae did a great job on N3--I would've been dead if she hadn't taken the risk of protecting me.
