in the future though please note that Night is supposed to end ~48 hours after the lynch goes through regardless of whether or not everyone turns in their Night Actions (please note for the purposes of determining activity I still expect you to send in a "No one" choice if that's what you're doing) so if I mess that up again just yell at me

 

oh and also Night is supposed to last two days even if everyone has turned in their Night Actions

Steam fills your eyes and chaos reigns in the locker room. "Get out of here you creeps! I'm going to tell my mom about this if you don't leave right now!" A shuffling of feet is heard followed by a scream and a flash of light. "Yeah and while you're at it why don't you tell her about that snake tattoo on your back," the boy with the cracking voice snickers, "I bet she'll be real happy about that." A girl screams in pure rage and the sound of feet slapping concreate is heard weaving in and out of the rows of lockers. "Give me that camera you freak!" A few seconds later the cracking voice is heard again, this time sounding of desperation. "Tommy! Help! She's too fast!" The door to the locker room opens and the steam clears just enough for onlookers to see two figures running as fast as they can towards the door. The one in the lead turns left around a corner, away from the light. The second figure hot on the first ones tail makes to follow but then stumbles and falls head over heels, crashing towards the door. No one saw who tripped her but by the time Sarah got back to her feet she was being shoved half naked towards the open door. "Go to the nurses office and get that cut on your head checked out. I don't care about your clothes! You'll get them back when I get things sorted out here. GO! NOW!" The door slams shut behind her and the boys can be heard guffawing in the depths of the locker room as the steam builds up again.

I think this is unlikely, Red is a good enough player to realize someone would think that. However, I am suspicious of Hoof atm because of the whole "I'm gonna lay low so I don't get lynched D1" thing. Well, it's not D1 anymore, and he's at the top of my list right now.

Well, even though it's only Day 2, I will admit some surprise at Tina being town. Obviously I didn't have much of anything to go on regarding her, but I have to admit that as far as Day 1 suspicions go, I actually was pretty convinced. Looking on the bright side, personally I'm glad we know her alignment now, because I might have caused a lot of distraction going after her in the days to come, and it would've been for nothing. XD

 

With that "certainty" totally shot, I'm gonna withhold a vote until I can get a fresh feel for things, although my suspicion of Hoof is still there. I'd reread, but I think I'm gonna go based on memory for the time being, and what we get from here on out.

Actually, I just saw this again and actually read it, and I feel the need to respond.

 

I'm reading this as "she posted tons of stuff during night phase, which is an indicator of her not being scared of being killed." If that's correct, then I'm gonna have to FoS you for faulty reasoning.

 

First of all, metagaming, but I'm pretty sure Red likes to post thoughts during night phase in pretty much every game.

 

This is because of the second thing that is not metagaming, but simple logic--she's posting it BECAUSE she's "afraid" of getting killed. She'd rather get her thoughts out there while she's alive, rather than risk being dead in the morning and unable to share suspicions.

 

That could still be a sign of scumminess, wanting to appear overly town by trying to share her thoughts while she can because she might be NKed, but your reason doesn't make sense.

On the one hand, it seems like she was just trying to get the day started, but on the other, the way she did it seemed kind of off to me. So I'm happy with that vote for now.

 

thsi vote stinks. i dislke how Sakaea puts herself on the fence, either you think shes scummy or agree with her motives, you can't have it both ways.

 

 

 

His actions are the scummiest? Really? It seems to me as if Hoof is in a "Damned if you do and damned if you don't" situation. Post on D1 and he gets lynched. Don't post on D1 and he still gets lynched. And for those who haven't played with me before, I am the single, biggest opponent of meta-reasoning. Hoof is lynched on D1 every game he's in. Does this mean he's not scum this go-round? Who knows, he very well could be. I certainly don't know at this point. But I have yet to see a "scummy" post from Hoof that would lead me to believe that he warrants a vote on him. And I get that he originally said that he was going to lay low to avoid his usual D1 lynch, but I also get his desire to actually be involved. Signing up for a game and then just lurking while waiting to see how everything plays out is a scum tactic, period, as far as I'm concerned. So I have no desire at all to make a case on Hoof, I would much rather see how everyone reacts to Hoof's play, which looks to me as someone who would rather be involved in Nol's game as opposed to just someone who wants to just skate through. And whether he's scum or not, that's a playstyle I'd rather deal with with.

 

 

That's exactly what he was doing until he got called on it!!!!! He may have been making posts but they weren't contributing in the slightest. So how does you not seeing him as scummy make sense??? Makes me think you two are together. You're the only one to defend him so vehemently. Others have voted for me but just becasue I think they're using your "easy" resoning.

Interesting post, this. Nice way of drawing attention to hoof while trying not to draw attention to himself.

 

Here is Maw trying to bring the Hoof/Soyo thing back into the forfront. alot of us at this point were keeping our votes on Soyo because of his poor reaction to pressure. an opportunistic scum would see this and could attempt to get him ralled up again to keep him on the defensive and help secure his lynch.

it is a two-bladed sword for us, since if he flips town we look at his suspects, if he flips mafia we look at his suspects since we think he is distancing.

 

here Hoof is bringing attention to Soyos list. i disagree with the underlined and that seems more like an opportunistic move scum would do. Soyo was Vanilla, therefor his suspect list is just who he thinks is scummy; it's not set in stone and there is no reason why we shoudl pay mor attention to his suspect list by itself anymore than we pay attention to other players suspect lists.

 

 

 

I didn't vote you because I felt sorry for Hoof. I thought your reason for voting him was scummy. He says he won't be as active on D1 because 9 out of 10 times, he gets lynched on D1. But we all sign up for these games because we want to play. So he makes a few posts. Not one of them was scummy, at least to me. And he makes them because he enjoys playing and wants to be involved. Yet, he's very careful in his posts to keep them from containing anything that could be interpreted as anti-town. Now, did he break his word? Seems so. But his reasons for not laying low doesn't ping me this time. And for you to call him out for merely wanting to be involved, just doesn't sit right with me. Is it overly scummy? Maybe not, but unfortunately, you're in the bad position of being the only one to stand out. And at this point, I've stated why I voted for you twice and I'm going to drop it now. But with a week still left to us, maybe you'll get lucky and Maw will slip up. I did say I would be OK with voting for him too.

 

It seems every time you defend him you accuse him as well. There you stated he lied, and is intentionally not contributing so we can't get a read on him. How is that not scummy? Can anyone tell me how that is not scummy? If he is so intent on not being noticed so he doesn't get lynched, don't do things that draw attention to you. You know like calling somone out on a lie, and not contributing... that sounds familiar... oh yeah maybe I should follow my own advice... or I could play like hoof and say outright that I'm just going to goof around and not look for mafia... no why would I not want to look for mafia? Hmmmm....

on my re-read Ishy post pinged me hard, especially the bolded part. how can you know that he was "very careful in his posts to keep them from containing anything that could be interpreted as anti-town" unless your in communication with him outside of the game and are discussing how he intended to play D1.
