Fair enough. But I usually dislike that kind of hints, because they are so vague that they can as easily be misleading and lies. So usually if someone makes that kind of hint, I find them more scummy than pro-town..

Nol. i'm not kidding. honestly, if your going to do that to peoples quotes you lose all integrety in my eyes, which means i'm less likely to sign up in a game your playing in. like i said, if you change the words in a quote, we can't trust your cases because unless we go back and check EVERY SINGLE QUOTE you post to make sure you didn't secretly alter something; we can't know whats truth and what isnt. meaning i'd be more apt to vote and lynch you based on this rather than on game play which isn't the spirit of this game and honestly will ruin the fun for both myself and for you.

 

altering a persons quote is about as bad as trying to purposefully hurt someone in this game, and it's not cool.

 

 

when I change a quote it's generally pretty obvious, such as bolded sections

and even if it's not I always say something to the effect of "I changed something here"

I never do it to deceive so I don't see what the issue is here

the first time you see me do it in a deceitful manner feel free to call me on it but until then all it is is just another way of making a point so lay off please

I don't want to get involved in this too much, but I just want to point out to everyone, lest they be drawn into Red's way of thinking simply by the force of her opinionated yelling and their lack of being there in that "other game," that Nolder is NOT the first person to change someone else's quote, and he is NOT a LLL because he DID say "FTFY," which means "fixed that for you," and something to the effect of "this isn't who she was talking about, but it's the same reasoning nonetheless." Not everyone noticed it at first (I know I didn't) but he was very open about changing the quote and wasn't doing it to be deceitful, but to make a point. Which brings me back to my first point about Nolder not being the first to do that. It happens all the time. I read the Game of Thrones game thread the other day and it was definitely a pretty common occurrence there, and no one took this much offense to it.

It's just another way of making a point, and I would place it on a level with twisting words to suit your purposes, saying things like '"Yes! Yes! Lynch me!" -Min' (who has said no such thing), paraphrasing incorrectly, and other forms of banter and the like in mafia games.

 

So, take a chill pill.

Oh, and in case anyone was wondering, that other game is Lily's Mythical Creatures game, which is over, and in which Nolder was town (as was Red, and myself).

 

I think we should just leave this issue out of the game, because honestly I'm not seeing a reason for it to be brought up. You claimed Nolder was being all deceitful and sneaky in that game because of the quote-changing thing, and it ended up being a big misunderstanding and a totally "innocent" behavior. Not to say that the fact he's doing it now clears him of being scum, but IMHO it's a null tell, and just creates a distraction for everyone else.

 

Not to mention it could be Red trying to lead the town using whatever means she has, so I figure, just chill out and focus on stuff that's actually relevant, kks?

I must say that I also don't like that Nol said so fast that there would most likely be no cult. And I also don't like people changing quotes.
