You guys might not like my attitude towards inactives, but it's pretty close to Min's. And Gen's posting elsewhere but not playing here more or less told us that we weren't important to her. Honestly, I'm glad that's where my vote was. If you guys want to FOS me or even lynch me over my crusade to stop inactivity, at least I would have died for a cause. *smile* (That would be a new one in mafia...) Personally, I'd rather scum hunt.

 

I'm not sure who I want to vote, because I just woke up, so I'm going to read all this again first when I'm more awake. And then we'll see.

I've explained my reasoning on Gen and that's all I've got to say. I don't regret saying she needed to be lynched, I don't regret being on her ballot

Kiv I dont understand that vote. I voted on a reason you would of most likely voted on yourself. The only element forestalling your vote is the fact moon claimed. So you voting me based on that isnt really a reason.

I think it's a good time to start pressuring an inactive and see if we can get them playing. I could go with either Wolf or Gen, but since at least Jack is likely to join me on Gen, I'll go there. (One vote is not pressure.)

and lastly, i've quoted this for two reasons. 1st this is the vote that starts the Gen train and advocates the "pressure" on an inactive. thing is, when this post was made it was over the weekand and on Day 1, this means that what happened (a fast bandwagon) was the likeliest thing to happen. so i'm not buying Lily's last post of "theres a differance between voting an inactive for pressure and for lynching"

 

i'm not saying her aim was to lynch Gen, on the other hand i'm pointing that finger at Jack.

 

 

the 2nd reason i point this out, is because she advocates voting Wolf, yet a few pages ago acknowledge my replacement of Wolf and even welcomed me into the game. also there is her reasoning for voting Gen over Wolf which pings me as well. not to meniton the fact she felt she had to state one vote isn't pressure when most of us know this already.

Okay I've never seen a doc claim so fast. You only had one vote on you! Now if you are the doctor you've just painted a massive target on yourself and if you're not and stay uncontested then the majority of us are going to believe you're the real doctor until someone else claims. I doubt any healer is going to step up and claim on Day 2.

1) Moon that reveal--where did that come from? This soon? That was the most suspicious thing I've seen thus far and I'm really going to have to think about you.

 

2) And this is just an opinion, not really related to placing suspicion on anyone. I'm going to have to say that I 100% agree with Lily and feel like we did the right thing with Gen. As I said, not related to winning for Team Town or anything but in the total of one week that I've been playing, even I can already tell that inactives seriously slow down a game. If it's a RL situation you have going on, ok, I can deal with things like that but she was soooo active all weekend and couldn't drop by just to say "checking in"? If it's a scum move and she just wanted to lurk a bit, we get rid a bad guy, and if she's a townie (as was this case obviously), we don't really lose as much on Day 1, and maybe we hopefully speed up the game a bit. Sure Day 1 is always a little slower, but if we have someone that's actively causing it to be that way, better to lose them now than later.

 

And btw, Moon and Jack seems scummiest to me.....

There was no kill last night; unless you think the mafia chose to give up its kill on purpose (highly unlikely), or that our doc protected someone other than themselves Night 1 (completely ridiculous), it's obvious that the scum targeted the doctor - and therefore already know who the doc is. I'm not saying Moon is definitely the doc, but her play was exactly right if she is the doc. And if she isn't, the real doc ought to counterclaim immediately, since the scum already know their identity

It wasn't forced incredulity at all. All she's done is give them a certainty. For one thing we don't even know if it was a healer because it may well be a role blocker. If it was me I wouldn't have claimed until there was atleast 2 or 3 people on my lynch especially when it takes about 8 to finish me off. That way atleast I could be fairly certain that 1 of the 3 that started the lynch are anti-town. This straight up immediate doc claim doesn't seem right but I'll bite until we get an explanation.

but, really, i cannot fathom why moon was so quick to claim. either she guessed lucky or the mafia did a 'no kill' (why would they do this, though?), so if she thinks because "woot, i guessed right!" she will be instantly validated as doc, because of a lucky guess, she is wrong.

 

although, lack of a counter-claim seems to indicate that she is the real doc, unless the doc wishes to remain incognito forever.

 

the problem is, that is she IS the real doc, she must now default to self-protecting for the rest of the game. she will be useless as a power role and the scum can cherry-pick targets at will because they know that no sensible doc would risk not protecting themself.

 

however, she will be a vital asset if it comes down to a handful of people and it is a lynch-or-lose situation, because she will be a confirmed and NK-immune townie.

everyone pushing for a counter on the doc claim has a major FoS in my book. it sounds like you guys are trying to cast doubt on Moons claim so a team mate can counter her and you guys can set up the lynch on her. Blackie & Tiinker are especially pinging my radar with this and if they keep it up i say we lynch one of them honestly.

 

a counter claim on the doc would only hurt the town imo. it makes it more likey that we'll lynch the real doc, and likely it will get our doc NKd even faster than now, or atleast tie the docs hands. if Moon isn't the real doc, then i applaud the real doc on staying hidden and not jumping up to counter Moon and taking the bait.

 

either way, until Moon starts acting more suspicious, i see no reason to question her reveal yet.

i dislike this greatly from you Min. you were the first to suggest someone counter Moon, even if it is only questioning if it was goign to happen. given your experience as a player, i question your need to say this out loud and FoS you for laying the ground work for casting doubt at moon's claim and for having a counter claim step forward.

Blackie, heres alot of WIFOM surrounding Moon's reveal. she doesn't have to resort to self protection but she might; who knows and its best left no said because it takes away the guessing for the scum. moons a good player and i trust her to make the right calls.

im not saying that i dont believe the whole reveal...but if you cants see the hazards or faults in revealing doc over one lil vote. Then you have problems. revealing over one vote shows insecurity over defensive attitude and inexperience. Now i dont actually want a counter claim cause it would be just one word agaisnt another. and the real doc dead that night.
