Unlike those whom voted to lynch Red, I wasn't convinced that she is mafia. She will flip town after the lynch, which is unfortunate, but as we know in mafia games, is usually the case for a Day 1 lynching that the person lynched is Town.

will is a very strong word to use here Vam. Also, distancing much?

Agreed

i don't see his as distancing honestly. Va never out right claimed i was scum, his vote was more for the majority which is a very townie thing to do. if anything, i'd look for people like you key who are trying to twist this.

i'll be back in a minute with casing the rest of the votes on me and other things.

UNVOTE VOTE: RED to make sure theres a majority.

okay heres the rest of my analyisis since my previous re-read. my views still stand that i made in this re-read located here i've linked it so you guys can review what i've said after i flip innocent and hopefully use it to the towns benefit

Sakaea and ishy are still pinging me the hardest

Well, idk what else to say. My vote's still on Amega, but I'm willing to change it, seeing as how most of you seem to think he's town.

So this is the type of thing you don't want to say. It makes you look like you voted for almost no reason (or at least your reason isn't convincing enough to yourself to stand by it) and it shows the mafia that if they make a strong statement against who you're voting for that they can probably convince you to change your vote. You should stand strong unless you actually think that Amega is town. Otherwise you're like putty - soft, pliable putty.

i agree with Krak on this. it also gets Sakaea on the fence and gives her an easy way to vote for amega yet still wash her hands if amega flips town.

By the way, Red, if you are innocent I appreciate your desire to step back from the tunneling -- which we both are guilty of, to some measure.

That being said, I think you're mafia, due to the amount of evading and misrepresenting during our argument. So my vote stands, and I hope the evidence against you isn't forgotten. If anyone wants me to make a convenient summary on the matter, I'd be happy to.

Of course, that being said, I'll be rereading to make sure the other players get my attention.

i'm glad you dropped it too. it speaks more in your favor because now your not painted as tryign to continue baiting me into it; unlike what i got from Alanna concerning the inactive thing with Amega. i'd also liek you to provide that summary too, just as further information for the town to use.

also, i've been waiting for you to say somethign more about your re-read. i'm interested to know your thoughts on others players aside from myself, again for info purposes. i've seen too many scum claim to do a re-read just to try and help clear themselves.

Third, Red, major over-reaction over a little issue. That's very scummy.

Vote Red

bandwagon vote for reasons others have listed. could go either way.

Cluck! Cluck cluck!

PRs suck when you get them. Some are fun though.

Im moving this weekend so i dont know how active ill be and ive been filming and packing all week (thats why i havent been around much)\

Cluck

hmmm womby makes a good case for this, and we know that player didn't start off with the PR. i'd be watching him to see if this isn't some sort of contrived scheme to make himself appear less scummy and put more scumminess on Wombys PR.

Ok I'm getting mixed signals from some of you. Wom, no clue what's going on there, some of you have said that you get a cornered townie vibe from Ama, but I don't see it, I get that vibe from Alanna more than anyone. But the only one I think I get the absolute 100% correct feel from is Red. From what I've seen in other games, you're way too good of a player to not see the obvious argument being made against you. If you flip scum, it certainly could be an indicator about Lia and co. But the reverse absolutely doesn't stack up if you're town, b/c you have no clue about others being scum or town. And I know that everyone said something about dropping it for the moment, but the only reason I bring it back up now is for this...Vote Red. Your deflecting and defensivness comes across to me as flailing around b/c you know some of us are catching on. Could be wrong, but I don't believe I am.

how did i deflect or flail on the issue Ishy? this vote seems townie imo, but i still don't get how ou guys can't understand the revese implications of connectiong players.

if Hybrid is scum, he would know i'm town. this woudl mean that he could connect one of his team mates with me so that when i flip town my alignment will help to clear them; just liek what he claims "if red flips scum, lia & Alanna are likely scum", which yes, imo by sayign that they shoudl have a greater look at them if i flip scum is implicating their alignemnt as being the same as mine.

i'm just tryign to prevent my town alignment from clearing Alanna or Lia and from preventing or making you guys second guess on looking at them. thats all.

UNVOTE and vote Red her pushing of that argument was teh scummy and difficult to read through

pushing which arguement Jack? the inactive arguement or the linking one cause i pushed both. and why is it difficult to read? you've been convinced i'm scummy because of it, yet you put yoursel fon the fence by claiming it was difficult to read. whcih gives you an out when i flip town.

LOL, in a hurry Jack?

After rereading, I'm also going to vote Red, for taking the smallest thing and blowing it out of proportion multiple times. It seemed designed to keep the focus on that one sentence (and on Hybrid).

how did i blow it out of porportion multiple times? i argued my case and stuck on it then dropped it completely once alot of people asked me to and tried to move onto casing other people. of which was ignored by all bt two people and others brought back up my argument agaisnt linking to use it for the lynch we currently have.

that said, this vote doens't really ping me

so i gotta agree with the rest of the group and after a reread of the issue, it was ridiculous on how defensive you got red. so this leads me to believe that your scum i could be wrong but i dont believe i am.

unvote vote red

bandwagon vote that adds nothing new. could go either way, i'm inclined to lean town considering the defensive townie feeling i've had from you earlier

Gah. I say we wait. It might make me look bad if she flips scum, and there is prob no time to choose a new target, but it would be interesting to see what she says and who she points at.

thsi sounds townie to me.

Vote #9 for Red, that didn't take long.

you already voted for me, and your "that didn't take long' comment doesn't stick well with me. i've been getting a major scum feelign from you, and it's yet to go away

I realize I haven't posted much recently, sorry everyone. I'm here tho.

Since Red is basically lynched, I'm not gonna add my vote, cus I think her claim is legit. Which is unfortunate, but that's day 1 for you.

i don't like the fact that you don't throw in your vote honestly. things can happen that prevent a majority, lieka vote blocker or stealer. this feels like trying to align yourself with me and yuse my alignemnt to your benefit

Seems like you two are doing everything you can to cover for Red. Hmm. FoS at the both of ya, will be keeping an eye on the two of you, especially when Red flips scum tomorrow.

Who is the two please?

Why so sure of her scumminess?

i'd still liek that answered, for info purposes

Vam posting right after I did and saying basically the same thing I did is weird. His whole "she will flip town" makes it sound like he knows for sure.

I said what I did because I'm inclined to believe Red's claim of bodygaurd. That doesn't seem like a role scum would claim to try to get out of a lynch.

Posted

Red I was referring to the whole hack and firth you had with Hybrid. It was difficult to reread the same posts over and over again.

How is me thinking it is distancing twisting it? Just because I don't think the same thing that you do? And you talk about twisting :p.

I never said he claimed that you were scum. I said it sounded like he was distancing himself from the vote. It reads as distancing (to me) because there is no need for him to say it and it sounds like he's just "assuring" the rest of us that he's not scum because if you flip town then he's "clear" because he didn't want to vote for you.

The day seemed to linger, everyone finally came to the conclusion that Red was guilty in some form or another. As two people held Red, someone found some cord to make a noose out of. You put the noose around her neck and watched her swing from the catwalk.

You took her down and checked all of her personal belongings to find out she was telling the truth.

Red, the Personal Security (guard), is dead.

It is now night, you have until Thursday 8 AM to get in all your night actions. If you do not wish to use it, please let me know.

Vote Count

Red (10): Amadine, Hybrid, Lessa, Ishy, Jack, Key, Ameg, Alanna, Krak, Red

Lessa (1): Wombat

Hybrid (1): Christine

Krak (1): Wombat

Amega (1): Sakaea

**Kill has replaced Lia.

So Rwd was telling the truth. I've got a rash suggestion. I'm guessing there is a beloved character in this game based on Red's role. That's a player who if killed skips the next day phase and we go straight to night. I'd suggest them coming forward next day phase to be lynched so as to not cripple the town in an end game scenario.

I had to look that up, Jack. I agree, skipping a day phase at end game would suck hardcore. So the Beloved should prob come forward.

Wasting a day cycle and giving the mafia a free kill makes sense?

Sakaea was already on my radar -- I'll get to my reread when I get home from work -- and this bumped her up even further.

Posted

But Jack's just going on a gut feeling, we don't know that there's a beloved role in this game or not (or do we? if so please let me know). Asking for a reveal when we don't know for sure who's who. Sure, based on Red's role, it's a possibility but not always guaranteed. I just think we should wait for more info before calling folks out for a reveal just yet. And while I do agree that it's better to find out before endgame, we are still just on Day 2 after all.

Posted

It is not better to find out before endgame. It is best to not find out until the mod posts the setup. Barring that, the later we find out, the better. When we find out, we either lose a day or tie down our healer, leaving our power roles unprotected. I would encourage any beloved role to keep quiet until L - 1. FoS anyone suggesting otherwise.

Posted

If there is a Beloved, which I'm inclined to think there is, and they want to reveal, I bet the doc would protect them at night. So it's not automatically setting them up to be killed. And according to the mafia wiki I looked it up on, the whole skipping-day-phase thing only happens when they are lynched, not NK'd.

Posted

Killing a beloved character early is the best move. Also at night our finder and any other investigative role will also get a chance for another investigation. Ish I'm not calling for character reveals or role reveals. I'm calling for an effective strategy that won't bite us in the end.

Wombat how can you say it's the same thing losing that role later as it is earlier. No matter how you slice it a beloved character is an anti town role played by a pro town player. The beloved dies later in the game the better for the mafia. The earlier is the better for the town.

Sakaea's the only one who really jumped out at me.

@ Red: I had to think about what Ameg had said. Just him saying that didn't bother me that much, but when Ishy and then Hybrid jumped on the idea and ran with it, it seemed like a scum plan. Hence, scum-tastic.

This was what originally pinged me. I don't really buy this: if it was Ishy's and my votes that made you think of this as a scum plan, why vote for amegakure?

I realize I haven't posted much recently, sorry everyone. I'm here tho.

Reads as distancing, to me. Not so much the fact that you didn't vote, but that you threw in the "I think her claim is legit" with no explanation.

Vam posting right after I did and saying basically the same thing I did is weird. His whole "she will flip town" makes it sound like he knows for sure.

WIFOM.

Also, calling suspicion on Vambram when he did roughly the same thing as you. (To be fair, he did it to a greater extent than you, so major FOS on him)

The mafiascum wiki (I don't know of any other mafia wikis) mentions that this is a variation of the role, but the original role triggers from any death.

The plan proposed here is pretty anti-town. It opens up the doc. And for all that you dislike leaving the Beloved around until end game, that's exactly what will happen if the doc protects her.
