Seeing as Our Lord Mod has set a deadline, I guess I should get of the fence and case some scum. The only people who real srick out so far have been Red, Moon, Jack and Blackhoof.

I cased Blackhoof and Moon earlier. Moon has not pinged me since but Blackhoof did. So I went a bit further with my case on him.

hmmm.... good point!

i vote berf for derailing our montyh python thread!

Blackhoof voted Berf for trying to get the actual game started. At first I was ready to dismiss this as a joke vote.

except.... SCUM!!! dun dun dunnnnn!

vote min

Then he votes Min once a little bit of pressure is aplied to her. This is also where the unvoting problems begin as well.

vote moon

she is CLEARLY a witch!

a tar valon one, at that!

Just before this post Min had placed a Vote on Moon. A few posts later Blackhoof votes right along with her. So now he agreeing with the person he is voting for.

OK.

I'm very sus on Blackhoof though. Vote's jumping all over the place, a lot of posts contributing nothing but gabble, as if to say "Hey I'm no threat, just a dude laughing it up! Isn't this great guys?"

Well, to be honest i havent put much thought into this game. im too busy getting down with my other ones, so i just check in and say something odd. besides- it is day 1, no real action happens today.

Blackhoof - Acting suspicious since 1995

So here he says he has been busy with other games and has just been goofing around. So what I get from this is; he has been randomly jumping votes, while not really considering if it is a good option or not. Just hoping to get a lynch as fast as possible. Of all the other people who have been pining me, Blackhoof leads the pack. So I am reasonably sure he will flip scum.

Vote Blackhoof

Right now I'm concerned by both Moon's jumping on Min and Blackhoof's crazy voting but that's typical from what I've seen.

Hmmm rarely get scum on day one but I would like to see what the vote count is before I come down on either side of the fence.

Ok, who wants to volunteer to go first?

Ok, honestly, I wouldn't say this pinged me, but it irritates me. No scum would actually volunteer to be lynched, or at least I highly, highly doubt it.

Second of all, Red's no lynch thing bothers me also.

And the people who haven't posted as much (berf, player, jack) I'm also suspicious of, cus scum don't have as much reason to be active right now.

So, anyone have any thoughts on any of this?

That actually really bothered me too about what Wombat said. It just seemed a really offhand comment that served no purpose other than to start pushing for votes.

Plus the whole forgetting to unvote thing. Blackie has played enough games for that to be a confusing-sowing technique, rather than newbness.

I can't believe I didn't even really give this that much attention. Doing a reread, it makes me much more suspicious of Blackhoof.

All in all, I think my eyes are most on Wombat, Blackhoof, and Min. Going to wait and see though before I cast my vote.

See above.

I think red is either having fun, or has a role.

Anyway Wombat Role fishing? I hadn't even considered, to be honest, I'm not that clever at this. I was leaning toward Red just getting into the spirit of the game's theme.

Red I was wondering if you could clarify whether or not you are operating under a Post Restriction or just having fun? Either is cool I am just a bit confused.

I have my duck, and I have my case ready for you below. I now think searching out the scum shall be easier than before.

*points at a random villager not playing the game*

You there boy!! Get the scales ready too-sweet!!

First I shall case to comment on the Wombat Wagon we have lurking on the surface. I have yet to see anything scummy from him, in fact he has not pinged me at all. Yet we have GF professing him to be her best option without listing the reason for this accusation. Woman, calling someone a witch is a serious accusation of one you have yet to present proof. Smells a bit like vote distancing to me and trying to ride the coat tails of a faulty lynch.

Yet for the Wombat lynch, GF is the last of those who disserve comment. Tis more fruitful to look at those who used “joke” reason to jump on his lynch then bailed at the first cite of a duck. Min, Charis, & Trench come to mind. I’ll get to these in my quote-feast right now.

TinaHel, I dont know you either, but for voting for me, I give you a kiss! *kiss-kiss* Oh wait... it's not a vote for Presidency? >_> You know I almost wanted to vote you back as an OMGUS vote, HOWEVER, Wombat bringing to light this startling revelation about not having ever seen the film... well, that's just grounds for execution! Off with his head!!

Vote WOMBAT

Here to me is the most scummy of the Wombat votes. This put him at about 4th or 5th which is near the tipping point. Again, the only reason used for voting on Wombat and piling on the votes is the lack of his seeing the source material. Never in my history of playing one of these games have I seen lack of knowing the source material being a concrete reason for lynching someone; yet suddenly this is the case for Wombat.

I only voted for Wombat as a joke.

Here Min starts acting scummy. There was no pressure on her for her vote on Wombat that I found yet she volunteers this information as if there was. It came out of left field and smells like maneuvering to me or subtle distancing of the lynch and allowing herself an easy way to jump off the lynch.

I unvoted Wombat because of the bandwagon forming. I didn't want to be responsible for a possible lynch being formed on him as a joke. No one would want to do that.

And here, soon after the above quote Min unvotes Wombat and feels the need to explain why she unvoted him. Again, without any pressure to do so. I had commented on this before now and even after my re-read this still sticks out to me.

Following Min’s unvote, Trench & Charis bail off his vote as well; which stices me odd and why I point to those three for being the best possible option for scum on Womby’s lynch.

And finally, to sum up my analysis on the Wombat lynch, I’ll post these quotes and my reasons for quoting them.

And when I get nightkilled N1, make sure to kill AJ, thanks.

This right here is the only really scummy thing I’ve seen from Womby, but is something I’ve seen him do as town as well so I can’t use it to judge his witchyness yet. I believe Min pointed it out, but I agree that this comment can be used to frame of falsely clear AJ and is dangerous for Womby to have said.

Red - writing up Walls-o-txts in Mafia since 2009

Posted

*Red reigns in her horse hard, causing him to rear back on it’s hind leggs*

And now we have the trap I laid concerning the no-lynch

I've got 5 pages only. And Red, really? No lynch? OMGWTF

Red = Scum?

Red went for a No Lynch on day one in the last game, and flipped Mafia. Possible Pattern or Coincidence?

Here we have two posters who immediately take the chance to paint me red (oh yes pun intended) and scream which with so little. Notice they take a background approach, suggesting rather than out right FOSing.

Leading the town much?? Oh yes, these two are prime suspects to me in this whole trap that’s been sprung.

I think it's interesting that so many of ya'll are getting pings. I have not at all really, except for Red discussion of a 'no lynch.' I can't see where that's helpful at all on day one. It would put us ..... right back to where we are right now, knowing nothing about anyone else. At least a random lynch might get us a scum, or give us a path for who to go after.

unvote, vote Red

Kay takes the charge on this. She blows the entire mention of the no lynch out of proportion and leads the lynch on me.

She also advocates a random lynch over one that is from the majority; which gives the town no information to go off of normally and has more chances to hit town than scum via #’s

I'm really looking at those who blew Red's no-lynch mention out of proportion. In no way did she advocate it, she just mentioned it after saying we ignored her previous scum-hunting. LOL to those who fell into the trap and ended up voting for her. But "meh". I like it when no lynch is brought up day one, it provides options and gets discussion going, but it is never really a good idea, in my opinion.

This can go both ways, btu is worth noting for comment. AJ talks like she knew this was a trap from the beginning but only posts this after I’ve said “yes I was beating the grass” so for me, this can go both ways. A scum trying to get on the good side and distance herself and gloat at the fact she didn’t fall for it or a townie who was able to use the info.

For right now, the jury is still out and I’m keeping this in the back of my mynd.

We have Red and her suggestion of No-Lynch. There was nothing scummy about the suggestion(though I don't think a No-Lynch should be used) in my eyes. However, the fact she came out not long after and revealed her 'ploy' wasn't a particularly good move. She should have waited for longer, to see how many others 'fell' for it. The people who voted Red for this are mildly suspicious in my eyes. This move also makes me wary of Red - it could be a move by scum to frame innocents for the lynch.

I sprung my trap because it was meant to be short lived. There are 3 separate events happening to give us enough info for a controlled lynch and lots of info without allowing the Scum to use the No-Lynch argument to side rail any trails on one of their team mates

Half of the players (or atleast the most active so far) had commented about the No-Lynch; I got enough reactions for me to judge from (to include those who didn’t react when before they have reacted) to get a good judge on how well my test worked. It’s also given the town info, which was the aim. It’s lived it’s usefulness for me, so I pull it before the tool can be turned against us by the scum.

Why should I have waited longer in this case.

And further more, we have these tid bits of note

Checking In here.

I am a little surprised at Wombat's reveal.

So I'm going to guess that either he is the dry dull historian that the knights slaughtered. That doesn't mean he is mafia.

Whatevs, I'm going to

And now for something completely different.

Vote Csarmi

For that sneaky bit hiding where you said this:

ps: I saw it like 20 years ago, didn't find it very interesting and I don't

Moon had a good find here. CS sneaking something into his post (while the words were harmless) the action of doing so shows deceit and misdirection. Why would he do something like this and what was his aims for doing so??

Interesting pick! I vote Blackhoof for voting berf for derailing the thread! And by doing so, derailing the topic at hand FURTHER!

Nyn

I commented on this before and my comment remains the same. Nyn accuses Blackie of derailing the topic when there was no derailing going on, and she does this not only with a vote on blackie but when a votewagon has been started on him.

Is it really a joke, like she claims; or is this an attempt by scum to help push the vote on an innocent? Depending on Blackie’s alignment, this will reveal a lot to me about this statement and in turn about Nyn

Red I was wondering if you could clarify whether or not you are operating under a Post Restriction or just having fun? Either is cool I am just a bit confused.

Nay sir, I say NAY!! I can not and/or will not confirm or deny the existence of said PR or whether I’m by chance having fun, or if I may perhaps be role playing or whether I’m just trying a new posting style.

It is too soon in this fair game to reveal such information for sure and said information really has no bearing on the game nor on our catching scum. in fact, that you wish to focus on this with the dead line looming rather than finding scum and looking at those who all agree are scummy does not speak well for you and speaks greatly of a distraction attempt.

I bid you to consult the shrubbery instead good sir!

Are you saying "Nay" to that fellow Trench?

I must say that Red made some very good points, I have to agree that Wombat's acting has been not so scummy.. So I will unvote

Personally I find Christine and csarmi the most scummy, but I will now start a reread, so maybe, and hopefully, I will find something Red might have missed (and will check the validity of Red's points)

Posted

I personally think any casing on the first day is ridiculous since we're all checking in and accusing each other for fun. If you've noticed I havent made any case against Wombat and did unvote him because he was a Day One Fake Vote - as are the many that occur on Day One due to having no info whatsoever. Red, I think you're trying way to hard to throw off suspicion and look for a witch where there is none. Bad Red. I was looking at Jack_D for my vote, but you've just jumped the line.

why thank thee fair maiden JLM, i take that as a comlement of the highest esteme and love dearly playing with Mynd (and many others) in this game. though i humble my own self by saying i'm not nearly as masterful with words as Sir Mynd is.

*Red picks an apple and gives half to her horse, adjusting herself in her saddle*

and in a bid while waiting for more repsonses to the cases i have posted, i shall give my attempt at posting a vote count

Vote Count

Wombat (2): BG, Charis

Blackhoof (3): Tina, berf, trench

Key (1): Sakaea

Leelou (1): Tiinker

Sakaea (1): AJ

Moon (3): csarmi, Min, Wombat

Vieira (1): Jack D

Min (2): Moon, Blackhoof

Jack D (1): GF

Red (1): key

With 25 alive, it takes 13 to lynch.

Kill, your vote on Wombat didn't count because you hadn't unvoted Blackie before voting him.

also, i had forgotten to agree with others, but all thsi "forgetting to unvote" by Blackie is suspicious. it could cost us the majority later on if the vote counts are looked at carefully. Blackie tends to always rub me as scum, so it's not enough for me to want to lynch him, but is enough for me to comment on and keep in the back of my mynd

oye vey, be truthfull and call it what it is Charis, and OMGUS. when enough info presents itself reguardless of the day, a case should be made. i never accused you of making a case agaisnt womby but rather FOSd your voting responses to both him and your quickness to follow suit and bail off his vote. i have realitevly low suspicion on me, as i've only got one vote on my and most of the suspicion is from people trying to use mettagamming as a voice for me possibly being scum rather than my actual actions in this game; to declare i'm attempting to throw off suspicion is to say i'm worried abotu suspicion being casted upon myself.

i've never been concerned about suspicion as a player of this game reguardless of alignemner, infact i encourage people to test me this way when i flip the town gets more info from those who attempted to sally me in this game.

BRING IT ON!!!!!!

How do I 'blow it out of proportion?' I'm not saying OMG or yelling, or all question-marky. All I said is that I don't like your discussion of a no lynch because I can't see how it's helpful for the town this early. See the last line of my post for why I don't think it's helpful. Also, the time I was on the scum team with you, you voted for a "No Lynch" out of the gate and that could be what you are doing now.

I don't advocate a random lynch over one that's majority - I'm advocating a random lynch over a no lynch, hence the "at least" at the beginning of the sentence. Even a random would be better than a no lynch because, like I said, it would at least give us something to go on.

Shame on me.. Well at least my next vote will be counted then, once I've decided which one I shall vote..

But I think Red is doing a good job, and though it may be a bit too early for bulletproof cases, this is as good as most I've seen. And it's never too early to do cases, it just might be too early to really think they are bulletproof :)

I hoped someone would notice it (if not, I might have quoted myself). Sounds like a good practical joke to me. BTW, that is NOT the only post I hid something inside.

Red, you know better than that. Next time I see a scummy post in a thread full of BS, I'll point it out again.

Ok, I just got NK'd in my other game, so my full attention shall now be on this quotefest game.

So we now have a deadline, but still no clear majority. It's been said, but I shall say it again: this game is a pain in the arse to find scum.
