WT Character already approved: I had a novice named Merilaine Candwin in 2009 but she’s been lost in the winds of time. Things changed and I was retired from Rping at that time.

Personality weakness: She tends to need certain things done to her standards, or it really bothers her. Stitches need to be neat and precise. Clothing needs to be without wrinkles. Personality -Goal oriented personality, adoring order. Can be sweet and kind, or brisk and irritable pending on the situation.

History

(Should include any major events in the character's life prior to joining the Division, as well as any significant RPs since)

Third born child of a merchant and his seamstress wife, her family was neither poor or well to do but straddling a fine line between where there was just enough for comfort most years. She lived with her family just outside the walls of the city near the granaries. Educated in reading, writing and math as a merchant’s child should be if any hope was there of continuing family businesses. She had a flare for sewing in particular, which was helpful in maintaining her bold color choices that she enjoyed with a childish zeal. (She is so not going to adore Novice White..) Her other love? Attaining whatever goal she’d set, whether through her own means or guiding others to see it her way. She very much loves her family, and she’s been blessed to never have faced hardship or tragedy, which in turn gave her a chance to form her goal oriented personality. If she’s never had to face true adversity, then she was very much able to work and maneuver her way to what she wanted or needed.

***

Having finished her lessons and her chores, she was off in a corner of her parents shop sewing when two women entered. One went directly to her parents to begin the process of purchasing cloth as well as a few other items but the second woman? She moved to watch the girl ply her needle from beneath a mop of loosely pinned dark hair. Needle slipping between the fibers of the cloth, drawing the thread through the weave to bring together what was to be part of a noblewoman’s daughter’s skirt. Blue eyes had lifted up to the woman and watched her with an equally curious expression. Polite questions and comments revealed that the spectator was Aes Sedai, although her ageless features were a definite clue to that revelation. Conversation soon led to a small teardrop of a stone being brought out, sewing being momentarily abandoned while Aeire was walked through a small exercise that indeed revealed she could learn to channel.

The woman soon let Aeire return to her sewing, moving to speak quietly with her Sister companion. A discussion with the merchant and his wife and soon enough Aeire was leaving Cairhien with the Aes Sedai to be deposited at the Tower for her learning.

No one had ever said nor asked if she wanted to go, and Aeire could be as stubborn as a bull when she didn’t desire something. Perhaps she would find herself cast out, or perhaps those within the White Tower would be able to convince the child that her plans and goals could only reach further than she’d ever dreamed if she gave it her all!

(It will be interesting to find out how the mighty mite from Cairhien turns out. =) )
