Nice save healer! :) I've done a reread multiple times, but nothing is sticking out... We need a bit more activity here, especially with the shorter deadline... I haven't been as active as I hoped, had tests last week, and a movie marathon all weekend, but I've been able to catch up easily.

I've managed to reread quickly the first day. A few things that I have noticed. How some people are reluctant to vote. Of course the Mafia will give things away of they start voting for the innocent, so they are less likely to start something. Now the only thing of course would be the fun beginning votes. We all do that, and there are quirks...etc. But it's interesting. Player and Aust never voted at all. Mav's was only on song AFTER someone else had. Another that stands out is AJ. she does her fun vote on Aust, mucks about for half the day then doesn't change her vote at all.

Talya, it's a reference to another game on JN that I played with Red. It essentially boiled down to a decision by the town to talk about the "innocent" and muddy the issue so the mafia didn't have a clear cut choice for a winning NK. It doesn't have much impact on this game.

 

 

There is something I agree with in your observations, though. Aust never voted early. Suspicious.

Read through the last bit from day 2. All a bit odd, I vote Mav, didn't want to claim finder unless I had to. Now voting for scum, I would say they would have guessed I was finder. I say who I think is scum. And put Verb and Red in the same area. Red doesn't like this neither does Verb. Verb votes then followed by Red, with some rubbish about me thinking the comment was to me and not to her. she pulled me up on not seeing the comment was to her, not to me...I actually said to Verb it was a mistake, but still looked like they were being a little too cosy.

 

Remember mafia are going to be reluctant to vote first in case they choose the Innocent! It doesn't let Verb off, if he was Mafia he would have guessed who I was and so know that I wasn't the innocent. Red well she was second anyway, but I'm not sure that both are. If they had both done it and I was the Innocent, it would ring alarm bells like mad!

 

Then AJ jumps in and votes Mav, why? I don't get that, she didn't give a reason, I hadn't claimed. Then Aust and Arlow creep on me for a vote. I reveal and Red switches her vote. Then there are few comments saying well done to me Song, Leelou and I'm sure someone else said it, but why? the lynch hadn't been done yet I could have been false claiming, it felt all a little too contrived.

 

I have a few that stand out AJ and Aust are the main two. Red and Verb...I'm still not sure about them...their little agreeing...a bit contrived maybe :/

 

Then Kathleen comes in and doesn't even mention that we have a scum...and hasn't said too much on what is going on.

 

Now I think that Verb is jumping on something I said and using it. Who's to say I haven't included the Innocent in my lists or lists to come...did you really think I would be that silly?

Talya, I didn't out right jump for joy that we got scum, I never do. Every one else does and it always seems fake to me, even though it usually isn't. Anyone can type 'woo hoo we got scum!" and most people, do and did. I didn't want to be redundant and have my post come off as just another of the same post everyone was doing. I tend to try to have a real point to my posts with some input, which is why this game is so hard for me. With no one really posting I'm having trouble finding anything that stands out to me, with nothing standing out I am not really having anything to add. Its frustrating me, but I am trying.

 

While I didn't jump out and state the obvious, "woo hoo we got scum" I did acknowledge it, saying "Well that was a nice thing to wake up to. Are we gonna take advantage of having the extra person today?" Perhaps you didn't see it, but I did say it.

 

I, like Leelou, will wait to hear from Aust before I place a vote today, unless something major happens and there is a good reason to go elsewhere. I'm really just not picking anything up since the game is really so dead!

Sorry I had a major weekend getting ready for deployment. We had to pack up everything to send over there (already!!!) and I had to get all my paperwork, do some classes, and get my medical and dental stuff together. Stressful to say the least. I however am back and will be posting and being more active. This will probably be one of my last mafia games for while, as I start training in less than a month.... *bursts into tears* will do a reread and see if I see anything and get back shortly.

Sorry guys - I've been majorly tied up the past few days and unable to really post - and as it is know I'm running out the door to work.

 

Just really quickly though - I never vote early. I always like to really think things through and observe people before making my vote, and we had very little to go on these past few days except for Talya's viewing.

 

Anyhow, things should be calming down for me a tad this week so I'll be a bit more regular.

lol i'm here Talya, just getting together my responses and doing my read through. as well as having to upload and do stuff for work and being extra tiered cause i didn't get home until 11pm last night cause i went to the Horents/Jazz game all the way in NOLA. btw #34 for the Jazz is a beast, dude was on fire for 3 pointers last night.

Verb and i have been trading jokes at eachother this entire game. this stems from the fact (for me anyways) that i ALWAYS find verb scum and sometimes out & out disagree with him. therefor i get nervous when him and i agree lmao for all i know he very well could be scum playing up to me to get me to not suspect him since apparently we were on the same wave length. only the corner report will tell.

A question, Talya. How come Aust is high on your list? In your post, i only saw mention of him once, and in the same sentence as me. If that sentence was your reasoning for him being high on your list, then why not me as well?

REd, i think you have it mixed up...It was you over familararity that stood out, not the joke bit. I posted what I thought, THEN Verb made the joke, which was right after I had posted and I thought it was to me and answered him back, then he said it was to red, and I joked along side him back...The fact you keep giving me reams on this is so out of proportion it's laughable. So i see it as you trying to make something that just isn't there. You back and forth with Verb looked scummy, but I didn't know which one or whether both, so I put you together...*shrugs*

 

Arlow, I also mentioned in my first post about day 1 that he didn't vote all day. I know he said he likes to think before he votes (well good for him) but he still doesn't vote and we are close to the deadline. How much more do we need. And he was quick to put the vote on me. Now I have seem Aust go for it when town to say why he is innocent. I'm almost getting a give up sign here. though I could be wrong, as this is from what I have seen rather than what I have viewed. Arlow attempts to bring back up the play convo surrounding Song's dislike of Perrin. normally this woudln't ping me, except that at this point Mav was already under suspicion as was Kat's pressure for Mav removing his vote or to explain it.

 

this to me seems like scum tryign to bring back up a distraction spam subject. seeing as Mav flipped scum and he was drawing fire, it could also bee seen as an attempt to draw fire away from him as well.

I wasn't trying to pressure Mav to take the vote off. I was just curious why s/he didn't. I guess I probably would have, so it seemed odd to me that s/he didn't. If s/he had had more of a reason than 'a joke' I wouldn't have said anything as I completely believe in standing your ground when you feel you have reasoning, even if no one else agrees with your reasoning. But being that it wasn't a serious vote and it was bringing heat onto him/her and s/he seemed to be saying that s/he didn't have much real reason to back it, it seemed odd to me that s/he kept the vote there.

 

Sorry for all the s/he and him/her stuff, I'm not sure if you are a guy or girl Mav.

 

the two underlined portions are direct contradicitons. i find it less likely that you are scum because of this, but still it's a post that pinged me; especially since my main reasonings for suspecting you over this are void with mav flipping scum.

 

 

 

Alright, to a point Csarmi I can sympathize with you - standing out on day one can just automatically make you a target. Deciding though to make a play to try to spur some activity, you have to know that this will bring some heat on you and you have to be prepared to deal with that - so that means knowing where you want to go with whatever play you make.

 

Im willing to watch and see where you go wih this for a bit. I know from seeing you in another game you are pretty fearless when it comes to making bold plays. But if you're town you have to be careful not to become so much of a distraction that we don't gain any information from whatever it is you're doing.

 

this post pings me. at this poit in the game CS is being defensive, has questioned abotu lynching the Innocent & has role fished. plenty of reasons to warrent a vote tbh. this has the feel of scum knowing he will flip innocent and wanting to appear the reluctant townie

 

 

Red, why do you say that you are willing to switch your vote to CS, but don't actually do it? Are you waiting for more people to vote before you do? Looking a bit scummy, especially if you have no guarantee that you can come on tomorrow/today (whichever it is for you). I'm not trying to distract people away from voting CS, indeed I'm going to VOTE CSARMI because of the question about roles. You can find the info on the Welcome to DM Mafia thread what roles might be included in an Advanced Mafia Game, and so shouldn't have to ask. I think he may have been rooting around for someone to accidently hint at their role, and use that for a NK.

Well who do you find scummy? Sounds to me like you're trying to distance youself if he ends up being scum. I haven't heard many other people offer up any ideas on who to lynch.

 

this still holds merit and even though i believe you Talya it is still the most scummy vote on CS's lynch and song has a valid point as to why its the most scummy vote.

 

 

 

It seems like a lot has happened, but right now I'm a little "iffy" on the situation. I mentored in the Firefly game and was on the receiving end of CS's pranks (he claimed finder as doctor, and I was mentoring the finder), so yes he's a bold-in-your-face player. But I'm really just "meh" right now. He was playing very scummy to more experienced players, and rolefished, innocent fished, and was all around ... fishy? Ew. Aust pretty much said the same as me below, that's why I quoted it..

as a conclusion, i'm willing to vote AUST

 

out of everyone from my re-read, he's pinging me the most on both days. the "on the fence" post day 1 and the "buddy up to the finder" post day 2 are enough for me until i see somethign more scummy.

 

 

2nd on my list is Verb. it's more of an overall game play with him than a single thing i can point to. he seems to be okay with any lynch at all and doesn't make the case but backs up cases. for this i point to Arlow throwing suspicion on me for saying "FOS CS for your actions, but i'm gonna keep my vote on Kat right now". also, looking back on the interaction between me and Verb i can see where Talya is comming from, so this makes me suspicious of him. then theres the last post with his over enthusiatic attitude about talya surviving; which seems forced to me.

 

 

my 3rd is a toss up between Song, Arlow & AJ. i'm gonna wait until i get responses from them on what i've dug up before making a judgement there.

i was talking about the way that the Mafia have to be careful about how they vote. If they come out blazing about the 'Innocent' then they would stand out to the town. I was looking at votes that were second on people rather than first. I noticed that you were almost the second person on Kath, Arlow unvoted just before you did. But I couldn't remember how much before. It may have been that you missed it and thought you were the second or that you didn't care (ie town) I just noticed it that's all.
