There was no mistaking Thelsier's look. He noticed the area up ahead and was looking to her for confirmation that they indeed reached their destination. Winifred smiled warmly and nodded, feeling content as well that they've finally made it to the Stedding. Midnight had already left them to join some of his friends. That could have potentially made her jealous, if it wasn't for the fact that being jealous of other wolves seemed completely irrational. Still, she allowed herself a pout.

 

As they walked through the Stedding many acknowledged their presence, nodding their heads or welcoming them back verbally. Winifred answered politely but she didn't want to delay. There was plenty of time for chatting after Thelsier went through the Sage. "Follow me, Thelsier, our first stop is a visit to a Sage. We'll find you something to eat and drink afterwards."

It was the first time in what seemed like forever that Thelsier felt at peace. The half smile, a remnant of his old manner from before everything that had happened, slowly crept back onto his face. Though it slipped occasionally as small packs of wolves stalked amongst the trees. He told himself that he wasn't scared, not exactly, just cautious which he thought was sensible given the circumstances. Even with the occasional tensing, Thelsier could not shake the feeling of finally being at home, at a place where he could be accepted, which turned the smile into a wide grin.

 

Though he was worried about meeting this Sage, who was he or she or it, was there some trial he had to complete to gain acceptance. Oh Light, what if there was some sort of test, he had never been very good at those. The worries compounded as he thought there might be a mistake, what if he wasn't one of these people. Shuddering slightly at the thought of what might happen if he was to be rejected, but grim determination took hold and he tried to come himself before meeting Winifred's Sage.
