It just occurred to me that today could be really funny with no time limit! At any rate, I'm going to be traveling over the next 4 days but I will be able to check in via phone each day at least once... perhaps more if my family is really driving me crazy!!

 

Aemon, I see you land in this sort of predicament so often on day one. This is not a criticism mind you - I consider you an experienced player - rather an observation. My point being though that if you are town, it makes it really hard to see you as town when the first day or so goes like this for you.

I was not overreacting. I think Mynd was overreacting to what Aemon said. Also Mynd was tryong to take control of the lynch, and that stinks. Aemon is going to be the first lynch? Is mynd psychic? Or does he have his own qt where he can communicate with other people to secure the lynch? hmmm...

 

Also, Mynd, if I was scum with aemon I definitely would not be defending him. That's like the number one rule of being mafia. I'm smarter than that.

Note that the post is also internally contradictory; she starts off saying that she's voting for Aemon because he's "rather suspicious" but ends up claiming it's really just to "avoid splitting the vote".

 

This post screams scum trying to justify hopping on a bandwagon, to me.

I understand wanting to get Day 1 over this year, so to speak, but we don't have a deadline, so the jump on Aemon is very suspicious, though unfortunately very townlike. Alanna's reasoning is by far the most suspect, however.

 

Learned my lesson in the Avatar game. Let's not just lynch someone, eh? Let's take the time to get a scum.

 

Still awaiting Redusts return before I possibly change it (quiet little bugger). Though Alanna is now most suspect. Which makes me look harder at Mynd now (sorry, Mynd, nature of playing mafia with you ). Having a feeling of being lead to look left while they go right.

 

Strangely, I'll be more active today. But that's rather irrelevant because I don't see there being much activity for the next few days.

I indeed would not have done the same thing! I'm simply fishing for mafia and right now, I have two observations:

 

1) The bandwagon (real one, not two person) has loaded up faster than me at an all-u-can-eat buffet!

 

2) Alannalynn's post isn't as scummy as Kiv makes it out to be; however, anyone who simply says "that's scummy to me" but doesn't expand on why sounds much like one who is trying to hide upon a vote.

 

3) What is wrong with leading a lynch on someone when we suspect them to be scum? Isn't that what we are supposed to be doing?

 

4) Attacking a player rather than the issue is what scum do.

 

Here is the truth, yes we do need to secure a lynch to gain information and (hopefully) bag us a scumbag.....but we don't need to do this right away, and pushing for a lynch during this holiday of which many of the players here observe sounds like a scumjob to me. We can wait for the weekend, I'll be around.

Mynd, can you explain this further? I can't tell what your position on AJ is. Do you think her post was scummy? It seemed perfectly normal for her as town to me. I can understand Kivam voting for her, as he hasn't played with her and wouldn't know that. But you do know her play style, so I'd like you to clarify, if you would.

I've been running short on time since I'm on VACATION and so my post was quick and sweet. I'll start from Aemon's vote and work from there. I thought my vote was self-explanatory, but apparently not.

Then the last three posts were all distraction attempts. Jokey reasoning, then totally going off to eggs. I understand jokeyness is fun and all, but when you're being targeted a clear head and straight words is best to make you seem more town-like, in my opinion.

See how Aemonkitten is retracting here? I was quite explicit in how desperately he tried to appear like his vote was random, but keep in mynd that this was not his first vote, nor was it the first bandwagon. AK saw the opportunity to slip a vote my way because he knows I am a target for Day 1 lynches and said that my second vote was a bandwagon. A TWO PERSON BANDWAGON?! Come on, even for me that's a stretch AND it wasn't the first one of its kind in this game either.

 

Also, please note that AK isn't bothering to read the vote totals and who is voting for who because he doesn't need this information. Only innocents tracking mafia read vote totals. Mafia deflect and try to discredit.

I just don't get the careless attitude and it sticks out as way scummy to me. The jokeyness is trying to slip under any radar and yet it makes him stick out more than anyone else in my mind.

I'm not sure they would shrug it off so easily, but then again he's trying to look town pretty hard, with his going back on his vote, and playing it all off.

 

 

Then he starts to play "more seriously" after Wombat's comment on his vote and Aemon tries to detract on to someone else.

 

In response to Kivam's questions: I was leaning Song at first but decided Aemon was the better choice for multiple reasons, among those being his behavior and my own want to consolidate votes on someone. We can see who jumps on this "bandwagon" (whenever you feel like calling it that) on Day 2 and see what happens, what their reasoning was, etc, especially if he flips mafia (or even town). I won't say my vote is any more guilty than anyone elses if this turns wrong, I don't know why you would think my comment was to defend myself against blame, that's just dumb. lol.

Just checking in to say that I'm sorry, I hadn't realized the game was starting, and I'd forgotten to check DM recently (came down with some sort of flu/laryngitis/evil sickness bug). I'm still interested, and I've PMed DPR. In the meantime, I'm going to read through the game thread so that I'm ready if/when I get a role PM.
