this is the most interesting first day I've encountered in my short mafia career, I'm loving it!

I agree Moridin, though trying to keep up adds to the interest. I feel like opinions are being formed for me at points, and at others I simply have nothing of worth to add.

Lanfear will make one last plea, even though Lanfear is unsure that it will help.

 

Poll time! Lanfear would like everyone to think very long and hard on this, because it's a toughie.

 

Is it scummy to call someone out for blatant bandwagoning?

Its day one. Blatant bandwagoning is one of the few ways to start the game moving quickly. I dont think its particularly scummy on day one. I still think we should let you live until atleast tomorrow incase your telling the truth

Day one is always the hardest. I am glad Kivam is giving us so much time at it. Someone rattles someone and the scum tells can come out if they are there. Band wagoning on someone to move the day along is not scummy in my opinion. It is helping obtain information so the day can move along and the game can as well. I also agree that the one role we must protect is the Avatar. Any other claims other then healer or finder can be collateral damage. I will say I was going to vote for Lanfear and didn't initially because of her role claim. It does seem possible she is telling the truth. I say "she" because of the name, not because I know who has the Lanfear account.

 

So, in the spirit of moving things along....

Lanfear if you are telling the truth look at it as a sacrifice for the greater good. If you are mafia then all I have to say is "gotcha". We do need to move things along and a coroners report would be nice to have. I am just hoping we have the right person. I have seen a lot of fake role claims and honestly until someone dies I am starting to not trust anyone.

Making sacrifices for the greater good is all well and good, but Lanfear would like to point out that the sacrifice has to pay off. In this case, if Lanfear flips innocent, what new information do you have?

 

P.S. Yes, Lanfear is aware that there has to be some way to get the votes consolidated Day 1. Lanfear simply does not believe in bandwagoning the first person to get to five votes. This is essentially a random lynch, except that the mafia have a way to direct it.

Why would we care about 'multiple games'? We are playing this one. Your comment made no sense to this game. And shortsightedness?

Previous games influence current games, meta and all. Seen too many fake important role reveals? You are likely to ignore Lanfear’s as fake. Seen too many people reveal too early? You are likely to be one of those criticizing when Lanfear revealed. If you’ve played with others, you begin to note their play styles; you learn their tells. You watch for these and others. Seen people ignore mechanics causing losses that could have been prevented? Yeah, you are likely to actually care about mechanics. It all adds up in the end. These are examples of impacts other games have on future games.

 

If you don't mean that, then again you're just taking words and shoving them into sentences they don't belong in.

Explain where I changed what you said or meant. I didn’t that I can see. I explained how I meant what I said; you disagreed. Big difference.

It has the potential to verify what you said about the nations. Not much, but, hey, we're in a pinch since no one seems to like Lanfear (which is incidentally killing you) and it's been a week on day one began.

Lanfear it isn't that we are band wagoning for the heck of it. It is more of a you seem scummy and are the most likely suspect at this point. Not to mention your reveal is not a role that is really needed just in case you are telling the truth. It will actually give us a lot of information. If you flip scum we can look at those you went after as being more then likely innocent. For those that seemed to support your thought, which off hand I can not think who did, but they would be viewed as scum.

 

If you flip innocent then the reverse is possible. Then again you could be running a gambit that will really mix up things.

 

I will say that if Asmodean had more votes on him I would have kept mine there. I honestly think he is mafia.

And he also ignores the fact that the slower we take to actually start playing, the sooner someone is randomly bandwagoned because "it's almost the deadline and we need to lynch." Lanfear thinks this feels like a subtle defense of Asmodean.

I am intrigued by this response. I think the trip with the Aelfinn and Eelfinn must've addled your brains dear Lanfear because none of the quotes quoted in your response were in fact mine. So you must think about me an awful lot to get me mixed up with a different forsaken. I'm sorry that your play for my friend Lews didn't pan out, but I always pegged you as someone a littler smarter than that. Someone is getting a little over defensive considering you don't have even half the votes. The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

 

 

I came with the reasonless bandwagon just to see how you would react. ATM you are far from a lynch and have nothing to worry about but your getting very skittish. Intesresting....

Mordeth, I agree with your assessment of Lanfear. The reveal with a low vote total was a bit odd, especially for someone who claims such a strong town role.

 

Asmodean at this point I see as scummy, per my vote on him for early #3 bandwagoning. However, I do not forsee this changing on day one where we have no information.

Asmodean what really upsets me about you the most is you can't keep the mafia account and your personal one separate. Now, understand as a person I like you however, you are playing really stupidly right now. I know you haven't played much mafia, but following a mod's rules are VERY important. One must follow the rules. Cause the mod is god and controls the mod kill button. Being as defensive as you were with hardly any votes makes me very suspicious of you. Usually when some one is overly defensive when poked or has a few votes on them and flips out like you they are mafia or have an important town role and paint a target for the mafia.

As unfortunate as it is that Lanfear was not scum, this does give us an opportunity to look for people who slipped up in their accusations of her. It sucks, she had a potentially handy role if used correctly, but it usually town on Day 1 anyways.

Psst...we are using the alt accounts. I've seen many of all the examples you noted. So? The only bearing that could have on this game is to meta other players. But......we are using alt accounts.

I'd like to bring attention to this comment. Why even say that? All it does, to me at least, is make it look like you knew how she'd flip and are trying to make yourself appear innocent. Sorta like mafia would do.
