The following will give you the main points for bio writing and early RP'ing.

When writing your bio :

  • No visible cell or gang mark that can mark you as a Darkfriend and be used to track you down
  • Any aged allowed and we take people of all ethnic groups (but no Wolfkin; wolves can smell evil and wrongness)
  • Unless its a secondary or tertiary character, you start at the bottom rank wise. Dreadlords start at WS 0, Darkfriends and Spawn start at a low WS assigned by Staff.
  • No one is going to kill heaps of spawn on their own, the spawn is not your litle mouse or toy doll that you can shred like it was paper. They are big, bad, mean, and know how to fight. They also have special skills that make up for lack of WS.
  • The Shadowspawn can historically only be met in the Blight bordering countries.
  • There are no Spawn in Seanchan
  • Remember books, the further out in countryside you originate, the less Shadow stuff you believe to be true, and the more you think is myth.
  • Theologically, Lightfools and Darkfriends are mortal enemies and most normal people would consider it right to kill Darkfriends, possibly on sight/ without trial.
  • The Chosen are not going to be appearing in your house, they have better things to do than worry about an ant they can crush under their boot heel.
  • Unless you transfer in, you do not know how to channel if you are to become a Dreadlord initiate. Also, certain weaves are restricted to particular levels, and even to specific times. Please check the weave list for details. The weaves most commonly misunderstood are the Traveling weaves. These are restricted to Mae'shadars in retro, and Dreadlords in main plotline time. Initiates are considered to train in retro and out of time.
  • Do not write that you have strength in OP or any element, scores are assigned randomly by a list so you may end up with a low score, and not be very strong in the OP.
  • No stumbling upon the Fortress or the Tower of the Black Dawn. They are both located deep enough within the Blight that any attempt to find them would see you dead long before you could even glimpse them on the horizon. The only way to arrive the first time is by guide (after this, skilled assassins and channelers would be able to Travel there on their own).
  • No one comes to the Fortress with a restricted item, (i.e. angreal, Power-wrought objects, etc.), or Talent without advance permission of the RP Group Leader.

Some of the above rules can be approved for RP's by Staff, but in most cases these can be considered general guidelines to be followed even after your bio is approved.
