Did you know that if shop mannequins were real women they'd be too thin to have babies?

There are 3 billion women who don't look like supermodels and only eight who do.

Marilyn Monroe wore a size 14.

If Barbie was a real woman, she'd have to walk on all fours due to her proportions.

The average woman weighs 144 lbs and wears between a 12-14.

One out of every four college aged women has an eating disorder.

The models in the magazines are airbrushed - not perfect!

A psychological study in 1995 found that three minutes spent looking at a fashion magazine caused 70% of women to feel depressed, guilty, and shameful.

Models twenty years ago weighed 8% less than the average woman.Today they weigh 23% less.

Today women are lovers, mothers, and career women. Who else is able to balance such a load, and do it with a smile?

The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman must be seen from her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, The place where love resides. The beauty of a woman is reflected in her soul. It is the care that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows. The beauty of a woman, with passing years - only grows.

I loved the facts posted in the OP. My husband and I talk about this constantly. I'm a big girl (and now I'll have that song stuck in my head, and loving it) and I'm an artist. Not just an artist, I'm an animator. I've trained my eyes to see and capture people from every walks of life; old young skinny fat normal abnormal tall short. And I know that the alienation is universal no matter your gender or your weight. "Skinny" girls are called unhealthy and told that their sick. "Fat" girls are told the same thing. We're brainwashed by a plethora of doctors constantly pulling us in all directions as to what is "good" and what is "bad" and nobody is okay anymore. The BMI (body mass index) was lowered when I was 14 and I went from being Obese to severely obese without gaining a pound. But I fool every carnival "guess my weight" because I had years of being an athlete; I competed against others in order to be trained by an olympic coach for swimming but didn't make the cut. I was in second place instead of first. But I'm unhealthy because of a number.

I don't really know where I'm going with this except that I feel that everybody should feel they are beautiful because they are. The human body is a complex and gorgeous specimen and should never be held up to one example.

Seriously, was I the only one that saw the title and thought, 'No you aren't, you're moderatly attractive.'

The problem with health is that everybody is an individual. And I'm not talking remotly in the mental sense.

Most people think that milk is good. So there's a generalization that milk is a healthy thing to drink. But there are people that milk gives them stomache pains and the trots, so it's not healthy for them.

Some people need more calcium than others, some need more iron, some need less protein, and there is as many combinations and degrees as there are people.

I personally don't trust doctors to do more than splint a broken bone, or whack my knee to see it kick.

And to be more in keeping with the subject. Beauty isn't important. Attraction is. And they aren't one in the same.
