Saying Goodbye

I never thought I'd be making this post. I have stuck this place out for 2 1/2 years, I've seen about half a dozen WT DLs and a zillion staff members come and go. And as much as I hate it, now it's my turn to step down.

 

As we all know, Russ was recently sacked, and Andrea is replacing him. Part of the condition of Andrea taking over was that she fire the current WT staff and start anew. Even though Sirayn and I have done no wrong, we have been fired, for being associated with the recently sacked Russ. And try as Andrea might to keep me on in some way, it's kind of hard to accept a token position when you are wanted gone by the powers that be.

 

So, heartbreaking as it is (and I assure you I'm in tears writing this), I am stepping down as Freshers Admin, I am stepping down as Mistress of Novices. I have loved my position dearly, and I am devastated to let it go. I don't know who will be replacing me, I don't know who will take over the bios, or the requirements, or the prank approvals, or the zillion other things I do. That is for Andrea and her new team to decide. I am sorry that you, the WT members, have had to endure so much change in such a short time. If I could fix it for you, I would. :)

 

I have a few RPs to finish (those novices waiting on the MoN, I won't leave you in the lurch), and then I am leaving DM. I won't say for good, but right now I'm a little too heart broken about the way this has played out to stay. I will truly miss you all, but I will be RPing still, just elsewhere. If you want to play with me, you still can! Just drop me a line and we'll work something out.

 

I wish Andrea and her team much luck. I know she has the best interest of the division at heart. The WT was always home for me, maybe one day I'll be over this enough to come back, and be pleasantly surprised at how it is flourishing.

*hugs tight* No one could possibly replace you. I know just how hard you've worked, how much you love this place, and how much you brought to the WT. I know what it has cost you too. I hate the way you have been treated in this, and I hope the powers that set this in motion know just how hurt you are.

 

Of course, it's no real loss to me, as I will just play with you on the new WT RP site :D

I'm truly very very sorry to see this, I don't think the powers that made this decision of dissolving the WT staff knew what they were doing. They've lost one of the best staff members I have ever known in my 2 years of being here and I think it's more unfair then they realise just what they are doing to both the members that I know you care about so much and well as the image of DMPSW. The person they choose is going to have a hard time filling in for you big ole clown shoes!  ;)

*hugs* I think everyone who has ever RPed with you knows how much the WT meant for you and how hard it must be to go. I know I'd maybe better keep my mouth shut, but right now I'm really really sorry and sad about how low DM seems to have fallen. I really wonder how it'll turn out if this trend continues...

 

I'll stick around here, but see you at the new site too and am excited about how this will turn out :D

You've no idea how stupid I feel for not reading this before. :( Kristen, you've been the most awesome staff ever, and to me were a great inspiration as a Gray Aspirant and then one of the coolest Gray Sisters around. :) I'm really sorry to see you go, and will miss seeing you posting here. On a happier note, I look forward to roleplaying with you on the new site. :D

Lavinya, from my experience you have done such a fantastic job in your position and always been a wonderful RPer. The same goes for the other ex-staff that is being canned. There is definately a mix of emotions going on within me right now, and sometimes I am one to make a scene...I don't know.... I just don't get it...

As I said before, a lot has happened in the 3 months I was gone from these boards and this is one of the sadder and more difficult things I find. You are an incredible writer and an inspiration as MoN, ever I dare not do mischief. *smiles* I know I will still see you on the WT boards, but wanted to let you know here as well that your writing and your person will be dearly missed. :(
