I've been a to a lot of shows, though not so many these past few years.  I used to maintain a list of all of them on another forum, but it's been dead for going on a decade.  I made the mistake of posting this in the reviews forum (it's not a review) a few years ago here and I think it got deleted, so I'm going to regenerate it and update it again in a forum where I think it will be more appropriate.

I never recorded the bands I have seen... and there are already so many thanks to the Graspop Metal Meeting.

In all this, what was your fav gig?

hmmmmmmmmmm.... As a single gig experience, probably Paganfest 2008. Eluveitie, Týr, Turisas, and Ensiferum all playing back to back in a small venue was pretty mind blowing. I actually stalked them to the next city to see again.

I wouldn't put any one of them at the top alone, though Týr is up there. As a general favorite live band, GWAR, Boris, and Dropkick Murphys are pretty strong contenders.  (I might actually be seeing Boris on Friday.  What are the odds of 2/3 of those bands playing here in the same week?)  Blind Guardian and The Decemberists contend.  I actually really love Cracker's live show despite being a relatively standard rock band.  I've only seen Sunn O))) once, but they deserve mention.  And maybe Týr.  Probably some other really above average ones I'm forgetting without studying my own list.

 

There are a few bands I've seen a lot that I don't even like, because they happen to tour a lot with bands I do.  Hah

The Mountain Goats were amazing when John Darnielle was touring more or less solo and would spend half the show chatting and joking with the audience. Not as fun now that he draws too much of a crowd to be intimate, but I can hardly fault him for that.

Eluvieitie are awesome and Dropkick Murphys can really five a good show. I have seen Blind Guardian once or twice I think and I loved to see how strongly the audience reacted to their songs.

Korn can give a pretty good show as well

Pretty sure that covers it. The music scene in Wyoming is nonexistent. Have to travel for concerts.

 

Really wish I could have gone to a mudvayne show.

I have been to a lot of concerts and festivals. I don't know if can remember them all to list them. I never kept track!

 

Favorite concert was Evanescence, Guns-N-Roses, Metallica...hand down the best time I ever had at a one day event!
