Very good! We have a fine round of contestants today. So let's play Jeopardy!

In this first Jeopardy round, players will be given several answers in different categories. Players must PM to me their responses in the form of a question by midnight Eastern Standard Time tonight. And the categories are!

...followed by...

The Forsaken

...and finally....

All right, players, here are the answers. Good Luck, and remember to PM me your responses in the form of a question.

This handsome fellow made life much more difficult for Elayne by seducing her mother Morgase and all but toppling her from her throne in Caemlyn.

Sure, you can skip questions all you want. You just won't get any points for them.

Also, for what it's worth, answering a question wrongly deducts the points value from your total. So unlike certain standardized tests, it doesn't pay to blindly guess.

And at last we move into the Final Jeopardy round!

In this round, players begin by PM'ing me how much of their accumulated score they wish to wager on their final question, based on their knowledge of this category:

Matrim Cauthon

Players have until midnight Eastern Standard Time tonight to let me know their wagers.

Tomorrow I'll post the final Answer, and players will have until the end of the day to PM me the correct response. When the scores are tallied, we'll see who wins this week's game of Jeopardy!

So remember, you can wager as much or as little as you want, from 0 points up to your total accumulated points, but you must PM me your wager by midnight EST tonight.

Good luck!

All right, our contestants have locked in their wagers. As a reminder, the category for Final Jeopardy is..

MATRIM CAUTHON

And now, here's the Answer:

When Mat systematically searched for this particular Darkfriend who was hunting Elayne, Egwene, and Nynaeve, he had none of his fabled Dark One's luck. It was only when he gave up and picked an inn at random did he find the man.

Contestants must PM me their responses by midnight Eastern Standard Time tonight. Remember to phrase your response in the form of a question.

Good luck!

All right, time's up. Let's see how our contestants did.

We start with Led Zep Man, who started Final Jeopardy with 2400 points. What was his response?

Unfortunately, that non-answer is going to cost you, LZM. What was your wager?

2400 points

You wagered everything, leaving you with a score of 0 points. Sorry about that.

Next, we move to Cross, who had 3000 points. Let's see what you came up with for a response, Cross.

Who is Comar?

And that is the correct answer. Players will recall from Book Three, The Dragon Reborn, that Mat overheard Comar receive orders from an unknown nobleman (actually the Forsaken Gaebril in disguise) to kill Elayne, Nynaeve, and Egwene. And what was your wager, Cross?

500 points

Which brings Cross up to 3500 points. Well done.

Next we come to Dar'Jen Ab Owain who began the round with 5000 points. And what was your response?

Who is Comar?

Very good, Dar'Jen. Players can read about this villain in The Dragon Reborn, Chapters 46 and 49. And how much did you wager?

3000 points

A big wager, bringing you to a total of 8000 points. Very well played.

Next we come to Turin, who played a strong game, coming into Final Jeopardy with 8400 points. Let's see the response you came up with.

Who is Comar?

Turin also came up with the correct response. Comar was reportedly a member of the Queen's Guard until he was caught cheating at dice, a curious fate given that it was Mat who stopped the assassin. And how much did Turin wager?

2402 points

Combine the scores together, and Turin ends the game with a score of 10802, and is currently in the lead!

And finally, we come to Mrs. Cindy Gill who played perfectly. Cindy answered all questions in Jeopardy and Double Jeopardy correctly, leaving her with a total of 10,800 points. But did she come up with the correct response in Final Jeopardy?

Who is Comar?

She did, indeed. Mat tracked down and dispatched Comar in the Golden Cup Inn, after a long and fruitless search in Tear. And what was her wager?

10,800 points

Cindy wagered big, risking everything. So with a combined total of 21,600 points, we have a clear winner....

Mrs. Cindy Gill is this week's Jeopardy Champion!

Congratulations, Cindy, and well done to all our contestants. Thank you all for playing, and good night!
