Gray Ajah Midsummer Event - Welcome to Midsomer

Hello all,  the Gray Ajah is happy welcome to this years Midsummer event.

 

This week is set to be very very warm here in the UK, so we thought we'd find a nice English village to set our event up in. Somewhere with a lovely old church, a pub opposite the green, a little shop, a red post box, maybe even a fete! So we went into the lovely (but fictional) county of Midsomer.

 

 

Errrr...... it appears that may have been a mistake.

 

It seems in the county of Midsomer there are four types of people: murderers, victims, potential victims and police. Oh there are churches, pubs, greens, little shops, post boxes and fetes as well. But lots and lots of murder as a contrast.

 

If you want to better aquatint yourself with the area you could watch the UK drama series Midsomer Murders (or have a look here on wikipedia) and hopefuly all will make sense.

Someday I'd like to see Manhattenhenge, although I expect on the key days it's rather crowded.

Today you could actually see the sun rise over Stonehenge. It's been quite overcast in the past few previous years.

Holy Smokes, when I visited Stonehenge...let's see....<ulp>30-something years ago, we weren't allowed to set foot within 50 yards of the monoliths.
