I am most definitely not scum this time around. I just can't get used to calling it wolfy sorry. But you are kinda rolling in with a lot of pep Shanti *stares suspiciously*

Just excited to have another game to play.

You also claimed to not be "scum" in both of our previous games. Forgive me if I don't believe you.

*watches*

@Tigs

Initial mindmeld, but she started pretty peppy in Peg + Cat as well... Is extra pep a bad thing wrt Shanti specifically, for you?

If Shanti was peppy in peg+cat as town why were you suspicious of it this game?
Mostly her rapid-fire entry here drew my attention as different to last game, and the pep/play tone seemed possibly overdone.

Went back and looked - the rapid-fire is different, the pep/play is similar enough. #earlygamesmallthings /shrug

What's your take?

This quote confuses me. I call shanti out for being peppy this game and Cass tells me (correctly) that Shanti came into the last game peppy. BFG (sorry I left you off the list earlier ) comes in asking me why I was suspicious of Shanti for being peppy in this game if she was in P+C and Cass answers like she was suspicious of it too.

How come Cass? Do you think her pep this game is suspicious or no?

It's a consideration, so I'm watching, but not enough to chase her on it specifically, no: I don't know her well, confidence improving is a thing, and like I said there are hints of similar enough tone in the last one that /shrug.

The rapid-fire entry is a more notable difference. Watching her with popcorn to see where she goes from there.

What caught my attention more, after re-reading her Peg + Cat (and the reason I quoted it) was your "But you are kinda rolling with a lot of pep Shanti *stares suspiciously*".

Which you followed by answering that you don't find pep a suspicious thing for her, so ?

Have other thoughts on this wrt WBK and BFG but will need to go pull quotes.

For now @BFG - were you chasing up Tigs or I when you quoted above?

Oh cool I'm not the only one

You're not the only one what and why?

First my post doesn't post, then it posts double...

so u dont respond to votes on melmac Alf??

what gives? too busy chasing cats?

Was there something to respond to ?
I started to give this post points

so u dont respond to votes on melmac Alf??

what gives? too busy chasing cats?

Was there something to respond to ?

yeah a vote straight out of the gate

But it was a vote before I even posted, with no actual reasoning.

So, again, was there something to respond to ?

Cause I'm not seeing it if there is.

this post lost the points.

Ive seen both you and shad mention this person, both negatively. Thats not good for them, may need to review... Alf?

I think Darthe can stay WTL/possi-scum today.

At this point this is very directly either a front or conf bias.

Either one makes me itch to lynch you.

Tamiyo fought the urge to clutch her newest journal to her chest, though ignoring the impulse wasn’t difficult given the monstrosity in front of them. If anything, Ajani’s orders were quite simple to follow; it was remembering to breathe that was the difficult part. Her heart pounded a frenetic rhythm out, bringing a heightened sense of awareness to the fact that she was least equipped for combat of the four of them.

Near the far bank of the river, Ajani brought his hand back to his side with the speed of a melting glacier. With the same slowness he extended his other arm, turning both paws down and never once breaking sight with the gargantuan. A gentle flow of mana welled within him for a moment before he sent it toward the creature. It sniffed the air once more before giving a hearty huff, exhalation sending a cloud of leaves twirling before it in a puff. It seemed to lap the air before it, a bright pink tongue obscuring its teeth. After a bark and a grunt it trundled up to the river bank, dipping its head in the flow and yanking it back to spray itself with water.

Still crouched low, Ajani made a few short strides to solid ground, passing directly by the gargantuan. As it dipped its forelegs into the eddies he motioned gently to the rest of them. “Careful,” he purred, not once looking at his companions. “Behind me and to the trees.”

The shaman Sarkhan went first, confidently yet carefully following the leonin’s instructions. Tamiyo still felt that any second she was going to give way and either lose her composure or her footing, neither of which would lead to pleasant results. One would anger the beast in front of them, the other would leave her with soaking garments and ruined notes; she couldn’t say which would be worse. Somehow, at an agonizing pace, her boots continued to carry her forward, carrying her petrified body past Ajani and to the safety of the forest. By the eighty-thousandfold kami of kakuriyo, what spirit decided to craft this demon clothed in flesh?

As Garruk joined them and Ajani started from the riverfront, a great bellow echoed out from the top of the cliffs. Another massive gargantuan, this one with a single horn and comprised of strong muscle, barreled down the near-vertical rocks with such momentum that Tamiyo was surprised the entire path behind it didn’t collapse. She lowered herself to the ground, readying herself. The leonin made a mad dash for the trees. “RUN!” he yelled, and they were quick to comply. Tamiyo looked back once to see the newcomer smash directly into the side of the wooly gargantuan, just as it had pulled its head out of the water. The ground shook with their battle. She didn’t care to know who was the victor of the encounter.

They ran a ways until the earth no longer quaked and the sun was barely in the sky, eventually finding one of the lesser tributaries and following it. By unspoken agreement they sank to the ground, content to rest. Tamiyo raised a ward above them against nighttime rain, barely mustering the will to do anything else. Ajani cast his own wards, which seemed to her designed to keep smaller vermin away from their encampment. “I will take first watch,” he announced, warming himself next to a fire Sarkhan had kindled. “Garruk, take second watch.” With the beastmaster nodding his assent and no other point of conversation, they settled down for the evening.

Tamiyo unstrapped her pack and used it as a makeshift pillow, staring up at the canopy above. She wished she could see the sky. Otawara always had a clear view of the skies and clouds below, of the star-filled sky and the bright moon above. Her thoughts turned to her family, her parents and husband and their many children. She thought about conjuring up a vision of them, even found herself reaching for the tiny trickle of power to do so, but stopped. The only thing it would do would be to remind her that she wasn’t there for them.

Her ward glowed softly in the air, minuscule flashes of luminescence as the first raindrops fell down to them. She lay down on her back, staring up at the aethereal boundary between her and the elements, and wondered if she could convince herself that the momentary blinks were the twinkle of stars.

Liliana hadn’t needed to see the flash of light to know Gideon’s fate. She always had a sense, perhaps gifted to her by the Chain Veil that augmented her powers, of when something died. It was a shame, really, that he had sacrificed himself in such a disgustingly heroic manner; now there was nothing she could possibly learn from his corpse. And all over the nuisance Dack Fayden. At least she knew Gideon could have held his own in a fight; the one they had left seemed to have no sense about him, good, bad, or otherwise.

They went for a ways more, coming to the edge of what looked to be a mire before halting. She would never admit it, especially not to those present, but the Phyrexians unnerved even her. Their influence, the way they warped an entire world to their image, the fact that they weren’t even properly dead so she could sense them. It did not sit well with her.

She crossed her arms, making sure to frame her bosom before turning to face their illustrious leader. “Well, Jace, do we stop here? Or would you rather run back to your city? I know it’s what you’re good at, and not everyone is comfortable around swamps.”

He regarded her silently, eyes barely visible underneath his cowl. Most would see no outward sign registering that he had even heard her, but she saw that little tick of his: his right index finger twitching ever so slightly. Inside she felt like twirling in place. Oh, how good it was to string him along! She knew how much he loved playing the grand leader, but it must eat at him to know how close she must have come to the mark. Then again, it could simply be the recent loss of one of their own; but either way, it allowed her to have a bit of fun.

“We camp here,” he said finally, staring directly at her. “Sorin has first watch, Chandra second. No fires, no wards. We don’t want any signals pointing to us.” Then, turning abruptly, he set about helping the others settle in.

Liliana tapped her cheek. Not as much fun as she had hoped, but their trek was yet young. Perhaps other opportunities would present themselves. She chose what appeared to be a comfortable enough rock formation and reclined in it, making certain to rest on the Chain Veil and obscure it from view. Her back was turned to the rest of the party, offering her a lovely if disconcerting view of the land before them.

Her dreams, oddly enough, were incredibly troubled. She dreamt of her long-gone brother Josu, reaching out for her and screaming his name. Dark creatures stirred behind him and ripped off his limbs, replacing them with screeching mechanical lookalikes that twisted his body. His eyes began seeping the same black oil that seemed to haunt them all, and even as the things ripped off his head he was still screaming. She woke with a start, surprised to find tears in her eyes. Quickly wiping them out of her eyes she looked to the sky. It was still overcast, none of the five suns having risen. Shaken, she did her best to calm herself, glancing back once to ensure the party were still present. There were no other dreams that visited her that night.

Jace woke near dawn, startled awake by the sudden dissipation of one of his monitoring illusions. He sat bolt upright, looking about. “Where is Sorin?” he called out.

Nearby the rest of the party stirred from their rest, looking about. Chandra scrubbed at her eyes, becoming more alert with each passing second. “I kept waiting for him to wake me for the second watch. If he isn’t here, I guess that explains why he didn’t.”

Koth rose to check the surrounding landscape, but Jace put a restraining hand on him. “Don’t bother. I put a location spell on all of us the moment we arrived, and his has fallen apart. They’re strong enough that there’s only one way it would do that. Sorin has abandoned us.”

Nobody wanted to give voice to the fears they all carried. In a single day they had gone from nine to seven. It sat ill with Jace as well, but there was nothing to do but go forward. He rose from his place on the ground, dusting off his pants. “We need to move before we’re spotted.”

Ajani rose from sleep with a single shake from Garruk, letting out a slight rumble of protest by habit. He saw the rest of his party had already risen, and though they looked the worse for wear they had shouldered their packs and were ready to leave. Scratching an itch underneath his mane he nodded. “Good, we are all ready. Let us press on; we should reach the monolith before the end of the day.

Also, Cuth. You were the first to vote for LZM, I also voted for him, but gave my reasoning and truly believed he was scum. Why did you vote for him? There was no resoning in your vote post. Your hydra pair and Shad are looking quite scummy to me on this new day. I would like some explanations. Shad is looking a bit worse atm, though.

Posted

Why LZM Shad? Obviously Darthe was town as well but what made you decide to Lynch LZM?

This. I would like to know as well. It was a 3 way tie at that point, but instead of letting it go to random you picked LZM to hammer. Alf/Shad scum team?

Posted

I knew that was going to come back to bite him in the butt. lol

Ok Darthe you suck. But since mafia got blocked or something along those lines it could be worse. We are still down two town but it could be 3.

oh god someone gave the QLDer V.....

as for nyn i think shes in a mood. not gonna get an accurate read on her like this

Excuse you??

did i do something??  looks innocently at his nyn

Me and Kronos were just discussing Adella and I would agree to her being on our watch list. I would hate to see a new player get lynched day one but I see peoples view, though I dont know if I see him as scummy other than inactivity. Someone did point out his excitement to play and now his absence. But Dice going on about his non reaction to a day one vote seemed over done.

thought i had Tigs quote here too.

@Tigs and Killa   explain to me how i was "going on" or "beating a dead horse"??

I think it was like what?? 4 posts? and they were mostly in response to either cass or alf himself. Your talking like I was driving a lynch on him for pages.

Posted

I did not personally mean it as beat a dead horse because I never said that? Going on about, only means it was something you said multiple times or an argument you had that I did not see the point of. I never meant excessively so like you are implying.

You have 21 posts counting the last one asking Killa and I about our opinions.

9 posts were dedicated to this subject including the vote, excluding your last post saying it was "4 posts". That's significant

Can everyone give me an idea of where they stand on everyone else? Now that we have a little more information I think it would be good. I'm gonna work on mine too. WTL coming up!!
