Lzm is town. If he was scum, he would have found a reason to vote me and save Alex.

He said he didn't want to vote either of us, and then went on about not wanting it to go to rand. I just don't see that happening from a scum pov with a teammate on the chopping block.

Except, the comments about "They're the same to me/I don't want rand" are contradictory;

"Rand only helps scum" doesn't make sense; and

There was pressure against the idea he needed to vote.

So, in a scenario where you're Town, hammering you would draw attention.

In a scenario where you're Scum, I'm not sure if it would matter/make much difference either way.

They aren't contradictory. At least not to me. He didn't want it to rand, but he didn't want to vote either of us. Been in that situation before, where I didn't like any of the lead trains.

I asked for his opinions on the 2nd place trains, if he didn't want to vote either of us. He could have voted either of those as well as scum to save Alex. He didn't do that either.

That he didn't vote, even though he said he didn't want rand, speaks volumes about the mindset he was in. He didn't know what to do and ran out of time.

I'm not saying that isn't possible, and we can agree to disagree.

 

I'm saying it pings me as scum and I'd like to see his reply/more from him today.

WRT to the Redd kill/not Seerhunting/Darthe is clear from it thing, I still :wub: you Tress but I disagree with the thought process and we need to be careful having a definitive stance on it either way/clearing based on the idea that we know how people hunt.

Eg, Redd didn't leave direct peaks but I might have bought him as a chance for the real thing rather than just cover.

Playing on the line of Scummy/Town (not scummy enough to be immediately lynchable, with maybe enough for the real scum to consider him a possibility for mislynch);

Repeatedly posting song lyrics related to hunting could've been breadcrumbs to reference later on;

His only reference to Shanti being

"change your font, I don't read calligraphy"

(paraphrased);

Wording on Shanti standing out as different to the rest of his play, and being

"The only really strong villager I have...";

And, ending with

"For the record I'm villager Ashanti

Hope that that helps you solve"

When Ashanti isn't a char from the show, but it is a play on Shanti's name...

...All of these things would've struck me as clues that he might have been the Seer if I was hunting.

So I at least think there are reasons there that might not have been ignored.

Shanti being new and effective but possibly coached if Scum, it would be nice to have her clear... but regardless of whether the SHC is a thing or not, IMO she's looking pretty Town for now.

I'm definitely not being coached, I'm just calling it as I see it. As I go back through and read I comment on things and react to things in the present and sometimes they've been dealt with before I get to that part in the post. I truly don't know how to prove that I'm townie and not scum, I'm certainly no one special in it, but I'm honestly overwhelmed and extremely confused with this game so I'm just trying to keep my head above water here. =/

Being coached is a possibility, I'm not saying that's what's happening at all, just that it had crossed my mind.

 

The important part was you're looking pretty Town and we can't assume Redd's fake peek on you wasn't true.

 

SHC is Seer Hunt Clear - where you can consider that fake peeked Townie may actually be Town, because Scum might have been trying to kill the Seer ... because they knew the result was true.

 

Don't be overwhelmed and confused, you're looking to have his instincts and observations and should keep dishing out opinions as much as you can.

And then they stick to it. the idea is to drop those reads so the REAL seer can give their findings but hopefully stay hidden. An easier way to explain is we really want the seer to live and by us making "peeks" we throw the wolves off and we allow the actual seer to drop their real peeks.

It does get sort of complicated because obviously we don't actually know who is village unless we are the seer. My only other game had a good amount of power roles so protection was more of a night thing, but I'm guessing without a Dr/body guard this is our only real way of trying to keep them safe.

Okay I'm going to give it a try to tone it down and give not so in-depth reads.

 

I will finish my read on eldrick then go up the list.

 

Eldrick- earlier I stated how I went from null/town on his list to definitive scum in 3 posts...later on he unvotes me then votes me again in 11 mins so at least he seems to be coming to quicker conclusions.

 

Anyway, the rest seems to be him questioning Hallia about avoiding the actual point of my "itt" question and his back and forth with tress where he decides to lean town on her.

 

Regarding your "you don't understand my play" post....ditto. Game solving doesn't always mean town. I'm leaning scum on you. No it's not an OMGUS, it's truly because I think you spent the better part of Day 1 distancing yourself from Alex for reasons that make sense in and of themselves but not when you add it to your buddying with Redd who done most of the same things. You will call me out because the rest of my reads won't be as extensive as the one on you but it has become clear nobody reads them. But I don't care.

I think pointing out things that really stick out to you is helpful when making a case, but since you are really busy, I think all of us would rather hear semi-detailed reads on everyone so you don't run out of steam and end up falling behind in the thread. I did read what you wrote before about order, but because of how much you were writing for Eldrick, saying you were pinched on time, it seemed sort of unnecessary to put so much effort into analyzing one person. That was all I was getting at before.

 

Keep up the reads, though, really want to hear more from you.

I have seen people us itt (in this thread) a bazillion times - So for clarification Eldrick - I don't see how this can be misconstrued as something scummy.

Ed – No serious content, but sounding pretty good itt (USED IT AGAIN)

Dice + Cass – Early on good feels, asking questions etc/ Dice being fluffy to start – Then Cass slips into it seems only question asking/answering mechanics mode, which can be done regardless of alignment

Shanti – Early on vote on Alex, got into the game quickly - I like her posting

Online is all about your perception of words and how you think someone is expressing something. Your reaction to being asked a simple question that wasn't really game related had defensive undertones. Hallia sort of added to it and you responded in a way where you tried to contradict her words, proceeded to unvote her and vote someone else randomly. Perhaps to stop her from interacting with you. Now I'm talking to you and I find that your answers seem really uncomfortable. Arguing my analyses rather than trying to explain yourself or actions.

 

You also never answered as to why you voted Shati in the first place.
