Original vs. Cover: Fear of the Dark

I decided to keep with the metal theme of the current Tune or No Tune and picked a classic song as well as one of my favourite covers of it. 

 

Original: Fear of the Dark - Iron Maiden

 

Cover: Fear of the Dark - Van Canto

I picked the original because Van Canto's "bass voices" made me think about this v (check at 0:13) then i started laughing and became all distracted

 

 

 

The cover is still an awesome performance though :)

I'll have to say "original" on this one too. The Van Canto version is not bad, I really like the female vocal parts in there.... but... yeah, the guitars should be guitars... 

 

best would be... Iron Maiden music and Van Canto vocals?

Reminds me of Dokaka except they chickened out and used real drums

the original is better,for lots of reasons,i.e. bass voices made me think about

blue swede-hooked on a feeling(ooga chaka ),and of course the guitars.

I'll probably get a lot of hate for this, but I really dislike Bruce Dickinson's voice, which is probably part of the reason I prefer the Van Canto version...but I also absolutely love Van Canto. 

 

I'm not sure I'll ever be able to unhear it as sounding like Hooked on a Feeling, though.
