Section 9 arrived at their destination ready to do damage. They may have lacked the element of surprise in a generic sense, but they were masters in the art of sneaking in anyway. Batou had done this many times before. His government-designed cloaking device was state of the art. It could evade tripwires, infrared detection, virtually anything.

 

Once Batou was on the inside, Togusa would create a distraction at the front gate. The Major was positioned for a drop overhead from a cloaked helicopter. Saito had taken up a sniper position at the rear exit. It was a state of the art raid. The only real risk was of the whole place going up in smoke once they were inside, but Borma's preliminary microbot scouting had detected no signs of explosives.

 

 

Togusa stared up through the rain into the night sky above the target. Section 9 had some truly remarkable tricks up their sleeves. He knew the Major was waiting up there, but even the sound of the propeller blades was masked.

 

They say sound cloaking isn't perfect. Togusa focused in his ears to see if he could catch a faint hum from the aircraft. It was something to pass the time in the pouring rain. But all he could hear was some lunatic racing down the freeway. Sounded like the guy must be going 100 miles an hour. Kids...

 

The sound got louder quickly. Was the car coming down this road? Togusa turned around just in time to watch the careening vehicle turn him into a splatter on the sidewalk.

Okay, I don't know the rules as far as quoting stuff prom the QT so I'm going to attempt to paraphrase our conversation.

 

As soon as I got the link, I clicked on it and we both had a "wtf where am I" deal. Dice goes on to tell me that I need to convince him I'm town and hes going to keep me under suspicion until I do unless Shad will confirm its a town QT. Shad just tells us to direct any question by PM. He asks shad how much room o have to discuss my Role PM. No answer. dice flipped out about me asking ITT about the QT. He says (again trying to paraphrase) I hacked you I'm a hacker. He asks me not to tell you all he's a hacker or that I'm in the QT with him because he isn't a hacker on purpose. I asked him why, if he is town, it would matter if you all knew.

 

He goes on to say that due to my description of my role he is assuming I'm telling the truth. He says that he doesn't know what his ability does that he targeted Killa N1 and the write up looked like a blocked shot so he thought he was doc and targeted me N2. I asked if he got a write up and he said no he didn't get any results N1

I'm confused over this point - I thought he said you hacked him?

 

Can you confirm who hacked who?

 

FWIW, you're a revealed and uncontested cop so I don't get why he would want to keep the conversation out of the thread. Did he explain that?

I picked him to hack and Ed to peek. He said he used his hack on me as well.

 

As for the not mentioning the QT he said he wanted to see who jumped on him about the Qt before he revealed his role.

 

But didn't he reveal his role at the same time? I have to go back and look.

 

Regardless, that's a little different than what you described before. The first time you said he told you that "he wasn't a hacker on purpose" and this time it's because he "wanted to see who jumped on him about the QT".

 

And I'm not trying to press you - you're uncontested Cop - I just want to understand what's happening. Especially as we get close to DL.

He did say he wasn't a hacker on purpose...he also said that about jumping onto him.
