which while it could be town there's also the problematic bit that he's pushing two towns (assuming DPR is, which i'm pretty convinced of)

My reads so far:

 

Darthe is "darthing around", doing his twee thing. What pinged me was his vote on me followed by the "I like cold hard reads". But, when asked, he admits that his vote was based on my being 3rd party in our last game together, which would be ore in line with his jokey, cavalier attitude, except that he left his vote on me.

 

I described his play as "hit & run" because he came into the game with jokes, threw down a serious vote and then disappeared - leaving others to pick up the pieces and push my case, which I'll get to - and as it turned out, he didn't reappear until half an hour before deadline. Then, because he's Darthe, he acts like he had to include teh mock surprise that it was deadline, which is, of course, why he is Darthe... the master of observation, except when it comes to deadlines. Like I said, twee.

 

The bit that bugs me as much is how others picked up on Darthe's vote and treated it like it was serious, furthering a case on me that didn't exist. More on that in a bit when I have a minute.

I need to make one more point about Darthe - I never take it as a good sign when a player pivots between joking and being serious. If someone is casing, they are reading/looking for particular things. If they are casual and light, they just post (and this often includes legit observations, but it's different than "case mode"). Darthe seems to be bouncing back and forth to achieve a certain "town look", while he casually tosses a case into the thread with no evidence, waiting for others to drive it.

 

Which brings us to Sooh...

Eeyore was always my favorite because of 2 things: he was a horse and he was blue, both things I loved.

This is my joke vote on Wifi - near as I can tell, this is the source of the case against me.

 

When you read from this point in the game, you will see both Sooh and Seph post, but do not mention my vote except in relation to Wifi's reaction to it. But neither of them questions it.

Reading Darthe from one game to the next is like reading two different people. Even as town he likes to mix things up a ton in my experience. 

 

Sooh creating the magical and mystical reputation that is The Darther. It's also laying down cover for all the stoopid things he does.

 

I'm not ready to lean any way on Darthe yet, but if you have a read, that's great. Got any reads on anyone else?

 

 

Sooh isn't ready to lean on Darthe, despite her asking many questions of Cuth as to why he voted Darther. And Cuth lays out a case - make no mistake. To which Sooh might say, "I don't see that" or "I disagree". Instead she says she is not ready to lean any way on him.

 

Which I found very ironic given that her next post is to vote me with no case made against me at all. I guess she was just ready to lean that way, eh?

Seph is just as bad, if not worse. Go back and re-read his jumps in logic and watch him try to grill Cuth to well-done and then accuse him of tunneling. He'll also go on to crit me for not "game solving" while he votes with no real cases and actually prevents others from offering their view. It's precious.

Gonna be really interesting with the Fight phases. More people need to post and interact during voting phase. It's too easy for someone to plan and lay out their story (good for town if they're town, bad for town if they're Mafia forming a solid lie without much question during that time).

 

Saying that, I was pretty comfy with DPRs and Cuth interaction during the fight until just the last few hours. But I got reread it again to see why that was.

When I ask Cuth about his votes I'm attempting to figure Cuth out, not Darthe. If I wanted to figure Darthe out I would go talk to him or look at his interactions.
