With less than two weeks to go before The Gathering Storm arrives (on Oct 27th), we’d like to point out a couple of different ways that you could acquire the book.

If you will be attending one of the book signing events
Please consider buying the book from the bookstore where the event is taking place. Even if the event is later in the tour and you want to get the book beforehand, go ahead and make the purchase whenever you like and keep your receipt. Several stores are using those receipts as your “ticket” to get in line for an autograph. Check with the store to ensure they’ll honor that receipt when you return later to get the book signed. Keep in mind that these stores are going to great expense to throw a party like this. We encourage you to support them by getting your books there.

If you want a signed copy but cannot attend a book signing event…
You can order an autographed book (at no extra charge) from Signedpage.com. Supplies are limited. The deadline for ordering one of these is November 17th, but they are likely to be gone well before then.

If you live outside the United States…
Please consider supporting your local bookstore, whether it be a chain or an independent seller. Book sellers are in a tough market worldwide, and your support of your local store can make a difference. If, however, you prefer the convienence of home delivery, we would be humbled if you would consider purchasing your book from Amazon.ca or Amazon.co.uk. By doing so from one of these links, you help support Dragonmount.

If you plan to order it online…
There are some fantastic deals online right now for the book. Here are some of the places you can find it:

And finally, if you plan to borrow the book from your local library…
You might want to get on the local waiting list ASAP. :)

Does anyone know when the book will be coming out for the Kindle? I have been waiting patiently because my mom refuses to buy the hardcover (she says it’s too heavy and she wants to read the book too). I really want to read it soon, but I can’t find a version for the Kindle!!!!!

Found it on Amazon canada as review:

Pages 225 to 256 are missing! Or more accurately, they are replaced with duplicates of pages 193 to 224. I bet you can guess what page I am on right now. This is ridiculous! :(

I bought three copies of this book. One for myself, and two as gifts for friends. I’ve already given one of the copies away but the the two copies I have now have the missing page problem. :(

    Buyer beware!

Don’t buy this product until you are sure you will get the full bock!

    Can’t buy on Amazon:

    Item Under Review
While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it’s described here. (Thanks for the tip!)

We’re working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.

I tried ordering the book through Walmart but got an error saying that
they were not allowed to ship to California. WHat’s up with this discrimination?

I got the book todat 10/27/09 at Costco in Richmond, Ca. for 16.99 Got deal considering
B&N is selling for it for $21.00 at the stores here.

So I pre-ordered at Amazon 3 months ago through the DM-sponsored link, and today they have my order listed as “being prepared” and the estimated shipping date (not delivery date, mind you, shipping date) as November 2nd…

If I log out of my amazon account and log into my wife’s account and put Gathering Storm into my inbox, the estimated shipping date is today.

it won’t let me cancel my earlier order. They better be lying about the November 2nd thing…I only ordered it from amazon because it was 5 or so dollars cheaper than getting it at B&N in-store.

I figured I could wait a day or two longer after all this time. If it’s not going to SHIP until next week, I might go crazy. I can’t even get on the internet without seeing a spoiler, thanks to facebook.

I got an email from B&N today announcing the Nook and right below that is a big blurb and photo about TGS…they are taunting me!

I don’t think Landmark is releasing the book today. They do not have the copies. Any idea as to when it is releasing in India?
