Hope requires the contender,
who sees no virtue in surrender.
From the cradle to the bier,
the heart must always persevere.

I was given a love of literature from my father and started out reading Tolkien. I can honestly say that Mr. Jordan has surpassed Tolkien in my mind as the greatest writer of science fiction in my generation. Please give him my best because I hope to be reading him again. Know that he has given some of us a release from a life that usually is drab but because of him our imaginations still get a chance to soar.
